Sara, a successful businessperson in her mid-thirties, takes her family on a holiday-of-a-lifetime to unstable, post-insurrection Egypt as a ploy to secretly meet with her ex-lover James, who has recently issued a subpoena challenging her husband, Andy’s, paternity of their seventeen-year-old son, Rick.

The paternity test results have been released, the stakes are higher, relationships are undermined, and an unknown assassin switches the focus of the attacks to family members.

In the final book in the series, the family attempt to immerse itself in the diversions of sun, sand, and sea while staying under the protection of enigmatic James at his flagship hotel.

Amidst outrageous personal behaviour, relationships ebb and flow with the luminous blue tones of the Red Sea.

However, as the danger intensifies the characters find that their situation increasingly mirrors the underwater coral reefs where sudden deadly attacks interrupt the coral reef’s spectacular procession of life.

Told from the alternating perspectives of Sara, Andy and Rick, the action reaches a final resolution. But will all survive – and at what cost?
