Ok this children’s book touch my gothic heart. It’s a learning colors books. You are learning colors through what death likes and doesn’t like and accidents he may have made. It’s honestly such a cute book I’d add it to my child’s library if I had any. It’s nice and short so it would be a great bed time read or a read to start the day to get the kiddos brains thinking and learning. Absolutely loved it. So cute and perfect for gothic parents and for those who say gothic parents fill their children’s head with filth this shall show you otherwise!

The art is really cute and I love the story. It might not be for all families with young children, but it is perfect for mine. I love this book and my kids would have loved it too. I will be buying my own copy.

Deathly Colors is a children’s book that brilliantly turns the ordinary into the eerie, introducing young readers to the hidden "deathly" side of colors through clever haikus and dark humor. From foreboding yellows to deep, mysterious blues, each page brings out a unique twist, making colors both captivating and spooky. I found it such a fun and fresh way to look at the colors around us—this book kept me smiling and a little spooked at the same time!

Okay, Deathly Colors is seriously the coolest, creepiest color book you’ll ever read! Imagine Death as your sassy guide, showing off the weird, dark side of colors in these cheeky haikus. Green isn’t just grass; it’s slime and squished bugs! And blue? Try scary ocean depths! Every page flips the way you see colors, making them freaky and hilarious. If you’re ready for a laugh with a spooky twist, this book’s got you covered. Death-approved fun awaits! 🌈👻

HOW FREAKING CUTE!!!! Learning your colors has never been this interesting!

Super fast and easy to read, and the illustrations are absolutely to die for 😏😏. I liked how it seemed to make death a little less scary. My two year old thought death was "so cute."

I received a copy in exchange for an honest review.

I LOVE THIS BOOK SO MUCH!!! Honestly, I really wish I would have had this book when I was a little one. I would have adored it back then too!
At first, I though that this book would be too morbid for young readers, but I was wrong. This book is age-appropriate and gives a different tone to a rainbow book that teaches kids their colors. On top of that, the author decided to include MANY colors, not just ROYGBIV. There was also pink, white, black, brown, and rainbow. The illustrations were also beautifully done. Death isn't scary at all, and the illustrations are actually fun. Additionally, the illustrator did an amazing job with including the specific colors on each page without it being overwhelming. Lastly, the writing was really creative. I say this because there was an echo to Victorian times on almost every page, which is so cool and very unique! It's very rare that you see a children's book that touches on the elements that this book was packed with.
I have absolutely nothing bad to say about this book.
Bravo!!!
