5 Stars: "This is a stunningly emotional story that tore my heart out, put it back together, and then tore it apart all over again. This is Weir at her best, taking you on a deeply emotional and difficult journey that isn't tied up in a neat little bow at the end but is still so wonderful and satisfying and leaves you wishing you could check in with the characters every now and again to see how they are doing." It's a good thing my a** loved the movie 'John Tucker Must Die' because well this book is like that, but with a few more twists and turns, "we'll coach you. We'll style you. We'll dress you. We'll do everything. All you have to do is show up and be the person we create." Jerk or no Julian is one sexy mess, "I looked up to see a hand, and then an arm, then a chest, then the face of Julian Dye. His nose was bleeding, and his lip was cracked open. But for some weird reason that totally escaped me, he was smiling." I mean Ellie knows how to initiate some naughtiness, "once under the covers, I did the gentlemanly thing and turned my back. That's when the bed shifted and I felt her hand slide inside my jeans. I wasn't wearing underwear. She cupped me and massaged me and curled against my back as she kissed my neck, her signals very clear." I'd say! Like any couple they have their ups and downs and well Ellie just doesn't take Julian's sh**, "because seeing me meant effing me," I said. "Just be honest, Julian." I wasn't expecting some of the things to happen in the book which means it left me on edge and if it can leave me on the edge it gets 5 damn stars. |

I really enjoyed this story, there was much more to this story than what the blurb suggested. There are matt layers of issues to peel away hen reading and I think these made the book for me! The characters were really beleivable and it was so easy to emerse myself into Ellie and Julian's story. I think I would have liked more from the epilogue but other than that it was a great read. |

He's come Undone is a quick and sweet romance who'll make you laugh a few times and leave you with a good feeling. I hate it when I finish reading a book and feel bad about it, it's like I just wasted a few hours of my time. But here it wasn't like that, thankfully! The storyline was original, the idea of taking revenge on a womanizer appealed to me and I was hooked right from the start. It was nice to see that Julian is more than just a man-whore (kinda predictable but I like it!). No one knows about what he's been going through and he's just trying to erase his pain and cope by running and having sex with college girls who asked him out. Six of them had expected more from him than just a one night stand and they want to break his heart to get back at him. Their plan? They want to hire a young woman who'll be perfect for the role. Ellie (or Evangeline) is an enjoyable character. She was an actress in a series on TV while she was a teen but now, she's broke after her mother spent every cents she had earned. After taking care of her dying mother, she's now desperate to find a job. But things don't go according to plan when she finds out he's more than what the girls said he is. They are both attracted to each other and soon they're both affraid that whatever they have will stop. She doesn't really know what to do, especially when she falls for him. Should she tell him the truth? How is he going to react? ... Well, you'll just have to read to know what happens next. You won't be disappointed, I hope. :) It kind of surprised me how much I enjoyed reading this book. I appreciated the characters' humor and I couldn't stop myself from laughing a few times while reading this book. ***ARC received through Netgalley in exchange of an honest review*** |

He's Come Undone by Theresa Weir is an excellent book about life, and how you can make your life into anything you want it to be. Ellie Barlow is college age, and is behind on her rent. Her rent shouldn't be a problem because she was a child star, so she had made millions...that her mother spent. So she is penniless and has put herself out on craigslist as an out of work actress who needs a job. A group of 6 girls have pulled together to get even with Julian, a guy who took them each home for sex and then left them the very next day, never to speak to them again. They want Ellie to change her looks, get a whole new wardrobe and then pull something over on Julian. They want her to get into a relationship with Julian and then break his heart. She agrees to do this, and even signs a contract. Ellie gets to know the real Julian and Julian gets to know the real Ellie, when she lets her guard down. They fall in love with each other, and they both end up with broken hearts. Love can supposedly heal all, but can it fix this mixed up, broken relationship. Is it really a relationship, or a contract to be fullfilled. I like this book, all the problems that they run into, the solution to those problems. I laughed, I cringed, I cheered them on and I told them that it wasn't a good idea. They didn't listen to me. Maybe they will listen to you! I received a free copy of this book in return for my honest opinion. I gave this book 5 out of 5 stars. |

While the basic plot of the story isn't something all together new- girl gets a makeover to lure boy, boy falls in love and hearts are broken- this book however adds additional layers and twists that you don't really see coming. This was a charming book with characters that are both believable and likable. I found myself really falling for Ellie and Julian and when a twist happened so to Julian toward the end (I don't want to spoil it too much), my heart really went out for him. |

Washed up former child actress Ellie Barlow needs a gig — any gig — to make ends meet. So when a group of college girls want to hire her to break a guy’s heart, she gets past her skepticism and ignores her conscience in favor of the five thousand dollars they promise her if she can get him to say he loves her. It’s not exactly the acting job she was aiming for, but it will certainly pay the bills. If only she didn’t like him so much… The Verdict: Okay, so my initial reaction was that the story was a bit far-fetched, but the more I thought about it, the more it seemed plausible. And if you’ve been around a teenage girl any time lately, you know exactly what I mean. Most of them aren’t exactly logical when their hearts are broken, and they resort to all kinds of insanity like spreading rumors, cruising past his house at 3am, and dreaming up all kinds of crazy scenarios in which they come out the victor and he’s left with regrets. So while the idea of college girls hiring a has-been actress to snare and break a guy might not seem very realistic, I would imagine that with the right financial resources, it’s exactly what some might do. But that’s not what’s so awesome about this story. While the plot is in some ways predictable, it didn’t play out exactly like I expected. Sure, Ellie managed to get Julian’s attention. And yes, he liked her even more when her own personality seeped into the role she was playing. And of course, he discovered her deception and channeled a bit of hate her way. But everything in between? Not predictable at all. There was a lost beret, a bar fight that became a YouTube hit, a traumatic event that had Julian subconsciously taking advantage of girls — not some illogical decision based on his parents’ bad marriage or some girl that previously broke his heart and trust. He wasn’t callous, even though his actions certainly were, and he honestly thought the random hook-ups were just part of what college was about. The medication and therapy and complete obliviousness to his wrongs just made him all that more believable and easy to love. And Ellie… Well, she wasn’t at all what I expected. She was never recognized as the girl from that television show, her financial situation was what I would imagine many former child stars go through, and while she was desperate to make a living, she wasn’t necessarily desperate for a second Hollywood wind so much as she just wanted to continue her craft. In many ways, she was just a normal, down-on-her-luck girl who got roped into something by a vengeful estrogen fest. But best of all was the way it was all worked out. As usual, I won’t give away the ending, but the resolution seemed to happen by chance in a way and was spot on for Ellie’s character. Hell, even the repercussions of her somewhat grand gesture weren’t miraculously swept away. If you’re looking for a rather classic romance novel story line with an entirely new twist, characters that avoid the usual cliches, and a great but believable happily ever after, He’s Come Undone is a definite win. |

I really enjoyed this story between Julian and Ellie. It was a sweet story and I though the author did a great job of steering it away from a predictable, happily ever after ending. It actually liked how it ended, how the characters both had to deal with their issues in their lives before they could continue their relationship. I loved the setting also - love the twin cities! Overall, a great and easy read. |

10+ Stars, Great story line, characters were very dimensional. I am not a reader who believes in spoiling the story, or even revealing big details. I believe every book as subjective, as one might like something and another person will like another. I highly suggest this read though, and I am an avid reader and have been for many years. Amazing story, I will now be a loyal reader, can't wait to read more. |

I saw this book on Net Galley and as soon as I saw it was by Theresa Weir, I knew it was a must read for me. I read her under this name and under the name Anne Frasier. Her book, Cool Shade, was one of my favorite romance reads of the year, when I read it a couple of years ago. Cool Shade won the Rita award for romantic suspense, so you know this author definitely is a good romance writer! Ellie is a former child star who due to circumstances out of her control, is on the edge of becoming homeless. After posting an ad for actress work, several girls from the nearby university hire her to break a guys heart. He’s been a womanizer and they want him to hurt like he hurt them. Ellie doesn’t want to do it but she is so broke, she pretty much has to. And when she actually meets Julian it gets even harder to do, but since she has signed a contract, she has to go through with it. Falling In love wasn’t supposed to happen. Julian falling in love was even more of a long shot. This was an extremely fast read, and I know this because it had me turning the pages pretty much non-stop. It was a good romance with a different premise. I enjoyed the characters of Ellie and Julian, and actually Julian’s back story was very compelling, even more so then Ellie’s. I’ll leave that for the reader to find out. You might want to have some tissues ready..just saying.(and this doesn’t have anything to do with the end of the book!) I wholeheartedly recommend this to adult romance readers. Keep in mind it has some very hot sex scenes, but nothing too out there.I thought it was everything a book by Theresa Weir/Anne Frasier should be-GOOD. |

Netgalley Arc Hes come undone is an amazing angsty painfully good book, even though it took me a whole to get into because I wasn't sold on the whole plot. The premise might be mundane and done before but the events that follow were unique and funny. Julians past was a constant and made what Elie did more brutal that it started out to be. Their attraction should have been based on a few more real moments and interesting conversation. I could feel it, it was there but a bit on paper would have been nice. And I do get the physical attraction making talk a little less important especially in the initial stages. Spoiler alert: What I didn't understand was what explanation did Julian give to getting not commited and being release and eventually getting his sister to back off. That is a big question mark. It looked so easy making you wonder why it didn't happen before. And her not saying I love you at the end even when both of them have a fear of losing and not having tomorrow was u convincing. All in all the pace, the thrill, the suspense , the dialogue all make it a book you must read! |

I read this book rather quickly, partially because it is not very long. Now this book came out in March and I have had it on my Wish List since then. I have wanted to read this for a while and I am really glad that I knew about this book. It was excellent. I really liked the storyline, all of the characters and the pace. It moved along really well. I do wish that it was longer. By just like 20-30 pages even. I thought the author could have expanded a lot more on what happened. One thing that did bother me was the girls that set this whole plan in motion. They were upset that the main guy, Julian, slept with them and then left. Yes I agree that’s a horrible way to treat girls. Guys do this though and girls are warned, they just don’t listen. The girls approached him first as well. While I love the idea of girls taking charge, you really can’t get mad at him for part of it if you are the one that instigated the meeting. Some things were also not very clear and if she would have expanded upon them it would have been better. One is that the timeline was a little confusing for me. They mention him being a freshman, but then said he was 19 when tragedy struck. I think later they mention that he is 21 or 23 (I think its 23). I guess I just don’t understand when he started school or what year he is in. The issues the main character, Ellie, has with her mother also could have been expanded upon a little bit more. She mentions very briefly what happened, but never goes into detail that much. I was just a little more curious myself what exactly happened. It really didn’t deter from the story at all. This is more just my natural curiosity at play. Overall a really enjoyable book. Looking forward to more books by this author. I recommend it for a good, quick weekend read. |

Ellie is a former child actor, now struggling for money, she puts an ad on Craigslist hoping to get some acting work. The response she gets was not what she had in mind. Three girls arrange to meet her in response to her advert with a proposition for her. They want to hire her to help them get their revenge on a boy who has basically f*cked and chucked them all. They want to make Ellie over, turn her into a woman who would catch his eye, then she is to make him fall in love with her, then break his heart. And because Ellie desperately needs the money, her morals fly out of the window and she signs the contract and takes on the job. So after reading the blurb and the first few chapters of the story, I was expecting a "John Tucker Must Die" scenario and to be honest I did think that this subject matter seemed like it would be more suitable set in a high school than a college campus. I was expecting a whole load of cheesy high school drama but this book actually pleasantly surprised me! When the story began to develop it became clear there were some serious issues and subject matter involved and I think it was written really well and handled with sensitivity. I found that I actually really enjoyed this book! At first I thought it would be aimed at late-teen audiences but there are some definite hot and steamy scenes so this is definitely aimed at adult audiences. I'm so glad I read this book, I have discovered an author that was new to me and I wouldn't hesitate to pick up her other books. |

This book was fantastic. There are so many good parts, I cant pick just one. I read alot of books and this is the first book I have read that has this kind of plot. It was funny, sweet, angry and just really, really good. It had so many emotions. It even touched on sensitive topics. The characters were so good. They meshed well together. I love romance books where you can laugh and cry at the same time. Just hoping for a happy ending between 2 people. This was a very fast paced story. I love how fast love came to Julian and Ellie. I also love how the girls went out with Julian was trying to hire Ellie and get back at Julian. Because Julian was basically a manwhore. The ending and epilogue was very impressing. I enjoyed this book. The main character’s problems were kind of over the top but still made for a good story. Ellie, a former child actor is broke and looking for work. She gets hired by some women that were all dumped by Julien after one night of sex. They want her to break his heart for revenge. After a complete makeover Ellie meets Julien and the game begins. Ellie quits when she realizes that he is not a terrible person and she is falling in love with him. She knows that he has serious problems when she discovers a bottle of antidepressants in his pocket. We get plenty of information on their back stories to understand why they act the way they do. When Julien finds out that he was just a job to Ellie, he is furious (of course). He never wants to see her again but we all know they will work it out before the book ends. There is plenty of romance, humor, and hot sex scenes. This was a fast read that deserved the 4 stars I gave it. I will be looking to read more by this author. This was a fun, flirty, sexy, fast read. I'm not a fan of New Adult fiction simply because I do not relate well to the characters. Ms. Weir, however, did make her characters quite engaging and her male lead, especially, was quite captivating. The dialogue was smart and appropriate to the characters and the situations. The heat factor is high and the happily ever after quite satisfying. I would definitely read more from Theresa Weir. *I received my copy from NetGalley.com in exchnage for an honest review. |

He’s Come Undone is a well crafted and enjoyable read. While I am not always a fan of revenge plots, this novel was engaging and about more than just your stereotypical bout of vengeance. Theresa Weir also known as Anne Frasier is a remarkable writer having written over 26 books for numerous publishing houses. This experience shows in how she uses tight, concise and effective description and dialogue to introduce her main protagonists and settings of the novel. Weir also creates believable flaws within Ellie and Julian that make them realistic and authentic. As the plot flows and steadily develops true personalities reveal themselves. We witness each characters growth as they realise the consequences of their actions, question what is morally right, and acknowledge the things they have done. Three things that I enjoyed about this novel was Weir’s reference to Doctor Who, David Lynch’s Twin Peaks and the Catcher in the Rye - things our main characters would have in common as genuine interests. The Catcher in the Rye was also an excellent choice to entwine with He’s Come Undone as both explore and deal with complex issues relating to identity, belonging, connection, alienation and loss. He’s Come Undone also courageously explores themes and topics that people often find difficult to discuss including depression, death and the negative effects of social media with confidence, clarity and empathy. Sending a really powerful message that you should be careful how you treat people because you never know what someone may be going through. Also that people need to hear how loved they are! I loved the idea of the implications ones actions can have in He’s Come Undone - definitely an interesting and entertaining read! |

I loved this book from the first page. I was immediately hooked. There were so many things in this book that I did not expect, and I love to be surprised like that in a book. Great book, great author. She made me love the characters and I'm even still thinking about them this morning. I'd love to read more of her work, and more about these characters. |

Love, Love, Loved it all. |

Thank You NetGalley and Belfry Press for this ARC in exchange for an honest review. |

Theresa Weir does a fantastic job of unraveling the past of two characters and bringing them together to make a fantastic love story. |
