Description

Sarah Lowery thought she could get past her husband Tim’s betrayal and get back to the life they’d planned out so carefully—but then a car accident puts Tim into a coma and reveals the kind of nine month secret that means life as Sarah knows it really is over.

If only she could figure out how she got into this position in the first place, Sarah is sure she could fix it. Somehow.

But when Sarah digs into her past, she finds she has to face all the ghosts she left behind—and the reason she left them there. One very tall, very sexy reason named Alec Frasier, who might hold the key to the kind of future Sarah used to dream about.

Yet when Tim wakes up and can’t remember what he did, Sarah has the chance to slip back into her old life as if she never left it. Trouble is, she’s no longer sure it fits…

Knowing that your husband has been unfaithful is one of the most devastating events a woman can face. Walking in on him during the act with your own sister – well that’s something else entirely. Sarah wants to find a way past all this hurt, but an accident places her husband, Tim in a coma. Throw in a baby on the way and you have a right old mess. Sarah thinks she can somehow fix things though, she just has to deal with her own past first. A past that brings her squarely into the path of Alec Frasier, the man she once cared for and who might still be able to make her happy again. But when Tim awakes from his coma, Sarah has a choice to make.

I loved this story about a woman coming to grips with the calamity that life has dealt her.

This a story I really enjoyed. It was dramatic, sometimes heartbreaking but at the same time very hopeful and optimistic. It will make you feel angry, nostalgic, and quite emotional too. It’s the kind of book where, once you get to the end, you feel as if you’ve been holding your breath all along. Which makes the book an easy page turner! A great narrative, realistic characters and the beautiful, witty writing are what make this book fantastic. I cried my eyes out over the closing chapter but I couldn’t imagine a better ending to the story. I DO tend to get very emotional when I read such heart-warming stories but this one was top-notch.

Im going to start out by saying a bunch of things you may not care about but I want you (you is the reader by the way) to put yourself in my shoes when you happened upon this gem. The cover: adorable The title: Once more with feeling --- umm hi loved the title The Blurb- The blurb??? I totally didn’t even known what I was getting myself into the cover sold me. So the story in this bad boy took my heart and wrecked it and my brain didn’t even have the capability of prevented the heartache I felt I hurt like I was Sarah, I felt every emotion as raw and real as they all were.

The story: Sarah is the perfect character she is everything I want in a female role. She gets off of work early to walk in on her husband and her sister doing it doggy style. Now she didn’t just hear moans and explore them. She started undressing and looked over so there she is nearly naked with the full image of her sister and husband butt naked making noises and expressions. During this her mother obviously chooses her sisters side in the matter and her father tries to establish common ground. This author did an amazing job of character roles. I hated Carolyn and her mom easily!
You're telling me that my cheating husband might get mad at me for not being overly nice to his girlfriend?
Tim ends up moving in with her sister and Sarah embarks on a soul searching journey trying to find herself and where she went wrong. She discovers that she gave up her 10 yr friendship to be with Tim and her life ambitions all because a man (Alec) was the love of her life and left her to follow his dreams and Tim came around and promised her security. Tim gets in an accident and winds up in a coma to finally wake up and not remember cheating but then accepting he must not of been in love with Sarah and he was going to see what he found with Carolyn was about. At the end Alec proposes (not for marriage) and I couldn’t stop happy crying. It was pure beauty.. I will attach a screen shot so you can understand and perfectly beautiful it is.

I just cant stop feeling for this book and I know you are probably annoyed that I am still rambling about this…

And frankly Megan Crane
I wanted more of a conclusion… while it was cute I wanted more of it…maybe im just greedy… but I haven’t read a solid 5 book in awhile and this book saved me from my slump and I never wanted it to end. This book wrecked my heart and every emotion I have ever stored away. This is a must read for everyone!!

I cant stop bawling in happiness right now

I found it hard to get behind Sarah and cheer her on. She comes home from court early and finds her husband, Tim, in bed with another woman. Her sister, Carolyn!!!! HELLO!!! He's all calm, telling her he's sorry she found out this way. Her sister has absolutely no remorse. Telling Sarah that this is the way it is. That he loves HER, not Sarah. REALLY???
Sarah's parents actually stand by the sister, for reasons I can't fathom. She sits at home FOR 5 months, waiting for Tim to come back home--get sick of flakey Carolyn. The two of them moved into town, living in a B&B in plain sight. Carolyn has no job, she lives in the basement of her parents home. During those months of separation, Tim & Sarah talk about a divorce, but never file.
Thanksgiving dinner, her parents invite all 3 of them. Sarah goes to a friend's HOUSE. Late that night, her mother calls to tell her how embarrassing it was that she wasn't there as a happy family. Ugh!! THEN she tells her AFTER belittling her, that she needs to get to the hospital. Something happened to Tim when he went to the store for more beer, the car skidded on the ice. Sarah actually grows a spine along the way. She's still his wife, she DOESN'T have to allow his mistress visiting hours. After 3 weeks of no waking, but after thinking about it on Sarah's BEHALF. If they are ending this marriage, why should SHE play caretaker? So she tells Carolyn that the comatose man is all hers, to call when he wakes up, and she leaves. Her sister DOESN'T WANT that stress, Sarah tells her that it's part of the job. It's in the vows. That's when she announces she pregnant. Sarah freaks out. Now she realizes that it's really over, she leaves the hospital to try and find herself, the old her. What happened to the fun loving spirit after college during her internships? She changed for her husband that's what. She got hurt from the "LOVE of her life" and since then, she's only given 50% of herself. But never her heart. It hurt too bad. She's been in a state of comfortable for the past 7 years. She's FINALLY waking up.

It was JUST ok. Sarah was too wishy-washy FOR me. Couldn't stand up for herself when treated terrible. Her parents needed to be told off, it was just wrong to take sides.
