This book has such a lovely message. Both Zoomie and Zoe are getting ready to add new additions to their family. They both are so excited to have a new sibling, yet sometimes our expectations about a new addition don’t always match the reality. Zoomie and Zoe both have to learn that about how amazing a new sibling can be. This is such a lovely book for anyone with little older kids who are going to be welcoming a new addition to their family.
Thank you so much to Quirk Books and Netgalley for allowing me to read an advance copy of this title.

Zoomi and Zoe and the Sibling Situation by Corey Ann Haydu continues the story of Zoomi and Zoe, but this time they each are expecting a new sibling. When the new babies don't seem to really care about the older siblings, they decide to open Baby School. Of course that doesn't go as planned but in the process the two learn a lot about being older siblings. Again, this is a well illustrated book with a good story for the younger readers.

My six and four year old happily reviewed this book for me:

My six year old, who reads at a second grade level found this book fun and simple to read. It was perfect for her current reading level and she felt so grown up reading a chapter book! The illustrations were so inviting, the characters silly, and she’s now on the hunt to find the first Zoomi and Zoe. Five stars from her!

My four year old enjoyed the story and found Zoomi so so charming. Both of them are older siblings so it was nice to see a book that highlighted the struggle of bringing home a new baby. I loved the representation (Zoe having two dads, one of the magical creatures is addressed by “they”) and the sweet, harmless story of bringing home a baby.

Absolutely would buy this book for anyone that has a beginning reader, a lover of books (and babies)!
