This book is a great way for me to wrap up my reading this year. The book answers the question - Can we be grateful even on cloudy and shitty days or seasons of life. That it is possible to be grateful, to have a gratitude mindset even in difficult circumstances
I love how practical the book is and the gratitude prompts at the end of each chapter. Also it can be read like a daily devotional.
It is book I highly recommend as it gives a fresh look at how to be thankful one day at a time.
Thank you to the publishers and NetGalley for this book in exchange for my honest review. All opinions expressed are mine.

Amazing book! This helped me on my walk with God! I really liked how the author included short stories from her life that were quite inspirational. I also really loved how scripture was included in each chapter that really helped me realize that I should be more grateful to God. I recommend this book to those who need some encouragement in their walk of faith.

I just loved this book. I’ve been working on myself this year and a big part of that is studying and putting gratitude to work for my life. I enjoyed the stories. They were relatable, personal and inspiring. This book is a keeper for me so that I can go back reread it when I’m feeling down and need some inspiration to remain grateful. Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for the gift of this book.

What an enjoyable devotion book, turning my attention to the many blessings in our lives to be grateful. Beginning with her personal story in Grateful Heart, 60 Reasons to Give Thanks in All Things by Karen Wingate, this is a thoughtful look at God’s daily goodness in our lives. Each daily devotion includes Scripture, one-to two-page devotion and a gratitude prompt. The devotion most often contains anecdotes from her own life which are relatable and timely. I also appreciated how the author started small with things from nature then expanded out to people and finally gratitude in the difficult times of life.
I can recommend Grateful Heart which is a thoughtful look at being thankful every day in all many different times of my life.

I requested an ARC for "Grateful Heart" by Karen Wingate because I had previously read her book "With Fresh Eyes" and loved it. "Grateful Heart" did not disappoint!
The thing I love about Karen's devotionals is that she can take any topic and infuse her fresh perspective on it and write about it in a way that is relatable, encouraging, and approachable, but not boring or typical. Something about her writing speaks to me. Not because the things she says are groundbreaking, but because when she says them, I feel like I'm sitting with a friend who genuinely cares about me and wants to help me embrace whatever it is I'm struggling with, and joins me in the struggle. Her writing has a way of saying "me too" while also giving me a fresh angle I hadn't considered, but never preachy or holier-than-thou.
I'll continue to read Karen's books as long as she keeps writing them!
Thank you to Netgalley, Karen, and the publisher for an advanced readers copy in exchange for an honest review.

I am not a Christian who goes to church or even really practices the faith anymore, but I enjoyed reading this and hearing about this woman's journey through gratitude that she is sharing with us in small gratitude appreciation tasks to do at the end of each chapter. I will admit I changed them up a little without thanking God but I did enjoy the tasks and helped me look more inside to see more gratitude for each day, I think we all lose sight of what we have and how we should be thankful for the small things we take for granted... because what we take for granted someone normally has been wanting etc.

Enjoyable light devotional. I felt some days are more story related than Bible related but there is an audience for that. The goal here is for people to ask Jesus in. This book was not for me in this season.

This sixty short, Scripture-based devotions that train readers to recognize God’s goodness in everyday life. Drawing from her own journey with partial vision restoration, Karen blends personal stories, biblical reflection, and practical “gratitude prompts” to show that thankfulness is possible in both joy and hardship. Covering blessings from sunshine and music to forgiveness and hope, the book invites readers to see ordinary moments as divine gifts. Gentle, relatable, and Christ-centered, it’s ideal for daily reading or group study. Its central message: gratitude isn’t just a response to good times—it’s a way to survive and thrive in all circumstances.
