Bethany Forrester and Denizon Cartwright are mother and daughter but they haven’t seen each other for thirty five years. Not since Beth gave Denizon up for adoption when she was two days old.
“How to Have a Happy Marriage” tells the story of how they find each other and their lives and loves along the way – from the stormy relationship between Beth and her husband to Denizon’s quest for true happiness and real love.

I actually had fun reading this novel. I didn't know what to expect. I didn't have much background on author, Lindsay Harper, but apparently I didn't need any, because this book spoke for itself. It had an excellent storyline that was easy to follow and fun to read. I loved all the characters and their interactions with one another. I really enjoyed the two generation theme as well with mother & daughter. And of course, the humor in the book is what really kept me going. That's what fiction is supposed to do. You can take a topic like this, and still make a lighthearted and warm read out of it.
I'll definitely be checking out Ms Harper's previous titles as well!
