Description
Welcome to the Sunshine Inn, a picturesque coastal inn with sweeping views and two new owners who couldn't be more opposite. From bestselling author Amy Clipston comes a no spice, grumpy/sunshine romance perfect for fans of Anne-Marie Meyer and RaeAnne Thayne.
Two polar opposites, one cozy inn--and one sweet and surprising chance at unlikely love.
When Everleigh Hartnett, a cheerful traveling NICU nurse who can't sit still, inherits half of her godmother's beloved seaside bed-and-breakfast, she dreams of selling the place to fund the nonprofit she and her godmother always envisioned. But there's one tiny problem: her new co-owner. Rugged, grumpy, and fiercely loyal to the inn, Cade Witherspoon isn't about to let his peaceful life--and his new start--be sold off so easily.
Everleigh and Cade are opposites in every way. She's sunshine and laughter, while he's all rough edges and quiet brooding. Their clash of wills over the inn soon has them wondering what on earth Everleigh's godmother was thinking when she left them both in charge.
As Everleigh gets to know Cade's softer side--and Cade finds himself drawn to Everleigh's optimism and kindness--their disagreement over the inn becomes something sweeter. But with the arrival of Cade's long-lost brother and the looming threat of a developer sniffing around the property, they'll have to make some hard choices--together.
Can Everleigh and Cade let go of their expectations and build something lasting together? Or will the Sunshine Inn be the place they both leave behind?
Second Chance at Sunshine Inn by bestselling novelist Amy Clipston is a heartwarming, standalone romance, which features the grumpy/sunshine trope and a charming small-town setting that's Netflix's Falling Inn Love meets Debbie Macomber set in a seaside bed-and-breakfast. This book delivers all the emotions and butterflies, leaving out the explicit scenes. And it comes with engaging discussion questions, making it a fantastic choice for your next book club pick!

Second chance at Sunshine Inn is a sweet romance with relationship conflicts and second chances. Everleigh and Cade inherit a B & B, and do not see eye to eye on what to do with it. We watch them deal with grief and goals, while also finding love along the way.
Thank you netgalley and Thomas Nelson for an arc

I want to check in at Sunshine Inn and visit Coral Cove! I love books set in beach towns, they are so relaxing to me.
This book was filled with all of the things that I enjoy--romance, drama, family relationships, etc.
Alana reminded me of my grandma. Alana loved those around her deeply and was such an encouragement to those that were in her life.
I loved the juxtaposition between Cade and Everleigh. He was kind of grumpy and rough around the edges and she was filled with sunshine. Yet he was filled with so much compassion for others.
The family relationships added a little bit of drama to the story and made me yearn for restoration.
Another great story by this author!
Thanks to netgalley and the publisher for the arc. The opinions are my own.

I fell in love with the characters from this book. I just loved their story and the setting of this book: wonderfully done! A must TBR for your 2025 lists.

Another great book from this author. It’s different from her normal genre but I did enjoyed it.
I received a copy of this book from Netgalley for my honest opinion

I never hesitate to recommend a book by Amy Clipson. They are always sweet, clean stories with characters that are not soon forgotten. This book is no exception.
In Second Chance at Sunshine Inn, we meet Everleigh, a travel NICU nurse who returns home for the reading of her beloved Godmother’s will. To her surprise, she learns that she is the sole family member named to inherit half of all the assets, including the seaside bed-and-breakfast that belonged to Aunt Alena, who is also her Godmother. The other beneficiary is Cade Witherspoon, who is set to receive the remaining half of the assets, including the B&B. Cade has worked as a handyman for Everleigh's Godmother during the last couple of years, providing care and support during Alena's final days.
Everleigh and Alena had once discussed establishing a non-profit organization to assist parents with expenses related to their newborns’ extended stays in the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU). Everleigh is determined to sell the B&B to fund this initiative, while Cade has a different vision: he believes he can make the B&B even more successful with his own business plan.
Cade, occasionally grumpy and navigating the aftermath of a recent breakup and the loss of his restaurant, complicates matters. Although a friendship begins to form between Everleigh and Cade, their differing goals lead to clashes. The story also delves into the familial challenges each character faces. Everleigh longs for a deeper relationship with her older sister yet struggles to connect with her. In contrast, Cade, who was raised as an only child and always wanted a sibling, finds his world turned upside down when an unknown half-brother appears unexpectedly.
The characters in this heartwarming, compelling story are relatable and endearing. From the very first page, the narrative captured my heart, and I found myself reading it straight through.
I received a complimentary copy of this book, and all comments and opinions are my own.

Just finished this sweet love story and this book is properly named!
It’s a sweet love story that I enjoyed very much and hated to see it end.
It’s also about 2nd chances (of course) and forgiveness which to me is the hardest and best part.
This beautiful story is full of love and family which is my absolute favorite in a book. Secrets that keep you turning the pages to see what happens will keep you rooting for the characters in their journey of life.
It will make you cry and laugh like it did me.
I love that Clipston can make her readers feel her character’s emotions and make friends with them.
Cade’s mom really made made mad but yet tore my heart out at the same time. That was terrible what her parents made her do! Wow! Not a great decision at all!
This is wonderful story and will be my favorite by her.
“An angel always finds its way to you, even in your darkest moments.”
Yes they do! Never forget that And God is always with us as well.
5 stars for a wonderful read. I highly recommend!
My thanks for a copy of this book. I was NOT required to write a positive review. All opinions expressed are mine

A delightful lighthearted story that had immense depth in the characters. Wonderful believable storyline showing true to life characters doing just as you'd expect.

I enjoy a good push and pull between the leading characters and this book didn't disappoint! Amy writes clean romance with heart and soul behind it. She gives a story line that is more involved than a Halmark movie but will still give you those happy feelings at the end!

Everleigh inherits half of grandmother's inn, cade inherits the other half. she wants to sell but he doesn't. who will win? sweet story.

This was such a lovely, lighthearted, cosy read! Perfect for curling up with on a rainy day. I loved the Grumpy/Sunshine trope and think the author did a fantastic job with creating those characters in this story. It was clean, with no explicit scenes or language, so would be appropriate for younger readers who are more advanced too. Coral Cove and Sunshine Inn sound so idyllic that I finished the book feeling long overdue for a holiday!
Highly recommend.
I'd like to thank Amy Clipston, the publisher and NetGalley for the complimentary copy I received in return for my honest review.

This is a good read.
Emotions run high when a well respected member of town passes away. Her will is a surprise. She has left the inn she loves to two persons.
The main characters have major personal issues to sort through. There is a lot of back and forth as the future of the inn hangs in the balance.
All the main characters are passionate about really good ideas but is the time right?
I like the realist approach of the author. This isn’t just a feel good book.
I received a complimentary copy of this book. My opinions are my own.

We return to Coral Cove in Second Chance at Sunshine In. I enjoyed the small time flavor of books written in small town. I was instantly drawn to the storyline and the characters which were well developed. Everleigh learns she has inheirted half of the Sunshine Inn which was left to her by her beloved godmother, Alana. Alana is a traveling NICU nurse and enjoys her job. She is hoping to sell Sunshine Inn for a profit to establish a charity that she and her godmother dreamed of starting but her partner Cade Witherspoon does not want to sell. He eventually agrees and gives her a timeline to sell. They both agree that they don't want it to be sold by a developer. Will they each get what they want? There were some bumps along the way but I like how the story played out. Relationships were repaired and everyone got what they really in their heart wanted.

The Second Chance at Sunshine Inn by Amy Clipston is the perfect type of romance book for me. It was like a breath of fresh air to read. It had so much heart and love in it, nothing cheesy or corny. I absolutely loved it, and would recommend it to everyone!

What a lovely story. Everleigh and Cade are brought together at a sad time after the death of Alana. She left them equal share of her B&B.
Lots of back and forward, romance brewing, then not, trusting, then not trusting, and trying to find a way to keep the inn or go separate ways.
Really lovely, light story and would love to read moreon this couple and their family and friends.

Sweet, wholesome and relaxing. Second Chance at Sunshine Inn was a pure delight to read.
Everleigh is a travelling NICU nurse who returns home after the death of her Godmother Alana. Everleigh attends the reading of her Godmothers will. Enter Cade Witherspoon. Who should the inn Alana owned be left to, but both Everleigh and Cade, who have only just met at the lawyers office.
I loved all the characters, the small beach town of Coral Cove, the drama and clean romance. It's a tale as old as time, he's grumpy, she's full of sunshine - I wonder what will happen - that being said, I loved every minute of it and wouldn't have it any other way.
Finishing up the book, I felt like I had been on a holiday in the warm beachy sun, a sad juxtaposition to our current gloomy winter weather!
I will have to keep an eye out for more of Amy Clipston's books in the future!

One of favorites are second chance stories. They always keep me guessing about Cade and Eleveigh 's relationship through the book. The couple was totally different from each other. Toward the end they made great couple to me and I believe that they were completely each other. I was shocked that her godmother was trying play matchmaker. Finally the book developed creative and beautiful. I enjoyed it. I received a complimentary copy of this book . Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.

I really liked this story. It was a fun and enjoyable read. It definitely held my attention with the questioning characters as to what Trevor and Harlowe were up to. I am glad the ending wrapped all that up and there was closure.

Everleigh and Cade have each overcome obstacles in their lives, leaving them with trust issues and some scars. When a woman, Alana, whom they both loved and treasured leaves them each half of the Inn she owed and ran, they must learn to work together to forge a partnership. But each of them has a different idea of why Alana let them the Inn and what they should do with it.
Lots of ups and downs, a range of emotions, and great characters trying to find their way. I loved this story and while predictable, was an absolute pleasure to read. Highly recommend for those looking for a story of love, loss, hope, and starting over.
I received an advance copy of this book in exchange for my honest review.

Second Chance at Sunshine Inn is a cozy, heartwarming small-town romance that blends love, loss, and second chances in the most charming way. With a picturesque coastal inn as the backdrop, Amy Clipston delivers a sweet, no-spice love story filled with emotional depth and endearing characters.
Everleigh Hartnett, a free-spirited NICU nurse, is used to moving from place to place—never settling, never staying. But when she inherits half of the Sunshine Inn from her beloved godmother, her plans for a quick sale are complicated by Cade Witherspoon, the rugged, brooding handyman who has made the inn his home. Cade has no intention of letting go of the only place that has ever given him stability, even if it means going head-to-head with Everleigh.
Everleigh is all sunshine, while Cade is pure grump, and their chemistry crackles from the start. The forced partnership forces them to navigate their differences, each seeing the world—and their futures—in a new light. As they clash over the fate of the inn, their reluctant partnership slowly shifts into something neither of them expected.
Beyond the romance, the novel beautifully explores themes of grief, healing, and family. Everleigh’s dream of starting a nonprofit to support NICU families adds layers to her character, while Cade’s unexpected reunion with a long-lost brother deepens his story. Their journeys feel authentic, full of tender moments and real struggles that make their emotional growth all the more satisfying.
With its scenic setting, lovable side characters, and feel-good charm, Second Chance at Sunshine Inn is a must-read for fans of slow-burn, grumpy/sunshine romance. It’s a story about love, community, and finding home in the most unexpected places.

I really loved this book. It is about Everleigh (Alana's godmother) and Cade ( who worked for her) . When she passed away, she left each one half of the of the Sunshine Inn. They both had to make a decision on if they wanted to sell it or run the inn together. This is a GREAT READ. If I mention too much it might spoil things. Both of their families live in Sunrise Cove and Cade gets a surprise call. Journey with them as they go about making a decision.

Amy Clipston masterfully weaves the grumpy-sunshine trope with a setting so charming you'll want to book a stay yourself. Readers will fall for Cade and Everleigh's undeniable chemistry, their emotional journey, and the delightful nod to Sweet Home Alabama. Second Chance at Sunshine Inn is a feel-good, swoonworthy story that will leave you smiling long after the last page.
I was asked to read this book for an endorsement, and I am thrilled to share my opinions. Thank you for the opportunity to read an early copy.

This story was a wonderful escape read. It transported the reader to a break from real life. Visit the quaint b&b and have a lovely weekend. Highly recommended

A Hallmark future movie?
Everleigh, a traveling NICU nurse, flies home for the funeral of her godmother, Alana. She is in for several surprises once returning home. One when she finds out she has inherited 50% of Alana's inn. Cade, the groundskeeper inherits the other 50%. Everleigh would like to sell and put her money toward her non profit that she has been trying to start. Cade has no desire to sell.
When Everleigh decides to move into the inn, more than one kind of spark flies.
Who will get their way? Will they be able to compromise? And who is this Trevor that is making some unsettled? Whos is sending the the emails to Cade that seem so important, yet he never reads?
Several twist and turns in this novel. Loved reading this novel that was provided at no cost for an unbiased review.

Amy Clipston treats her readers to a wonderful heart felt romance that will stir your emotions and keep you turning the pages. A traveling nurse returns home to attend her godmother’s funeral and finds out that she has inherited half of a bed and breakfast Inn . The other half of the Inn belongs to a handsome grumpy man who is a total stranger to Everleigh Hartnett.
Cade Witherspoon would rather run the Sunshine Inn by himself and would prefer that Everleigh be a silent partner. The trouble starts when she wants to list the Inn for sale in order to fund a nonprofit organization she wants to start. Cade wants to keep the Inn and add onto the business. Everleigh doesn’t give up so easy and Cade just seems to get more stubborn with each passing day. It appears that their business relationship has started out on the wrong foot.
I enjoyed reading this slow burn romance book. I liked that the story kept me guessing what the outcome would turn out to be. Besides the attraction that Cade and Everleigh share for one another there was a lot of other things happening in the story. Cade had a lot of hurt feelings from a past romance and found it hard to trust another woman in his life. I thought the book was emotional, a page turner and realistic. I was totally drawn in from the first chapter.
I recommend this book to readers of contemporary romance, Christian Fiction, and to fans of the Author. Second Chance at Sunshine Inn is scheduled for release on 7/8/25.
I received a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.

Everleigh Hartnett comes back to her hometown when her Godmother Alana dies and names her in her will to own half of the inn Alana owned. Cade Witherspoon is also named in the will and Everleigh is confused who this guy is and why would Alana give him half of the inn too. Everleigh wants to sell and go back to her traveling nurse life but Cade wants to keep the inn running as Alana wished him to do.
This is an enemy to lovers story that I liked a lot. It was a little slow on the romance side but ended super cute. I definitely recommend this for a fun summer read.
I received a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.

Second Chance at Sunshine Inn is a good story written in an easy to read way. The characters are real-to-life, flawed people. Cade struggles with his life circumstances, and has wounds and scars from being betrayed by a fiancé and a business partner. Everleigh is ever the optimist about people and situations, but she has unresolved conflicts with her sister and seems to avoid being home and dealing with those situations. Both of them are brought to Sunshine Inn after the death of the inn’s owner, and both of them must learn to work together, overcome their pasts, and find a path forward. Not everyone in the story is on the up and up, and Everleigh’s rosy view of people clashes with Cade’s cynicism. This is a lovely read for setting aside the cares of your day or for enjoying a holiday break. I highly recommend it. You just might learn a bit about yourself in the process.

This is a delightful read. The characters are interesting and entertaining. Everleilgh and Cade meet when Everleigh's godmother, Alana, passes away and leaves them her beloved Sunshine Inn B & B. They are forced into being partners. Everleigh wants to sell and start a non profit that she and Alana planned to do and Cade wants to continue to run the B & B. There are many twists and turns in this story. Family secrets are uncovered as time goes on. This story is about love, forgiveness, family and second chances. I highly recommend this book. I received a complimentary copy of this book. My opinions are my own. #netgalley #thomasnelsonfiction #secondchanceatsunshineinn. This book releases on July 8th.

Well written story and you will love the characters. I couldn't put this book down. Highly recommend this book. It was a pleasure in reading this book.

Everleigh was devastated when she found out her beloved godmother, Alana, passed away.
She had spent summers there and loved the Bed and Breakfast Alana ran and that she helped with.
When she was called to the attorney's office to hear the reading of the will, she was totally surprised that she was left half of the Bed and Breakfast and more surprised her godmother had left the other half to her handyman, Cade.
Why did Alana do that?
I think Everleigh finds out why as she and Cade grow closer even though she is all sunshine and he is a bunch of worry.
SECOND CHANCE AT SUNSHINE INN is a heartwarming read with great characters you will love and a setting you won't want to leave.
Thank you to the publisher for a copy of this book. All opinions are my own.

A sweet romance. Second chance was rather misleading to me as the couple did not know each other prior to this setting. A second chance at life rather than romance. Some misty moments. Several frustrating moments. Thanks to the publisher for providing a copy via NetGalley. My review is voluntary.

Second Chance at Sunshine Inn by Amy Clipston is a nice contemporary romance story. This is a nicely written story that is easy to read and enjoy. Everleigh is a traveling nurse, who has returned home for her godmother’s funeral. She finds out she has inherited her godmother’s inn jointly with the caretaker, Cade. She wants to sell the inn and get back to her life, while he wants to keep the inn and add on to the business. While Everleigh was very important to her godmother, there is a lot that has happened in her godmother’s life that she is not aware of. Yet Cade was there for her godmother in a time that she really needed someone.
This is a nice story that shows how the lack of communication can cause problems for those left behind. I enjoyed reading of the struggles Everleigh and Cade went through while coming to the conclusion of what to do with the Inn. I like how they reach a compromise on how to move forward. I enjoy how despite their differences, they are there for each other and care for each other. I also appreciate the parts of the story of the relationship Everleigh has of her sister and the parts of the story that focus on Cade and his new found relative.
I voluntarily received a complimentary copy of this story; this is my honest review.

A sweet story set in North Carolina. Do opposites attract? We’ll find out in this story. When stubborn meets sunshine the sparks fly. I’ve only read Amy’s Amish stories before, but I loved this one. I was given a complimentary copy of this book and the opinions are my own.

a sunshine filled book even with the grumpy hero!
this was such a warming book. the type you envisage when people do the whole "go to a nook with a nice cuppa and snuggle" line. this sits with those books. and we are all the better for having these books to have those lines for.
i like the premise of the book. i dont think anyone is always pure sunshine, nor all grumpy. but the outer can sometimes become quite dominant in what we show people, for a myriad of reasons. and so that is what we have with our two main character and it fills the book with more heart as we get to know them and perhaps watch them grow both as individuals and via each other.
and we all love a small town romance with the gorgeous addition of an inn and coastal views. yes please sign me up or just invite me to stay.
this book gives us two strangers who find themselves co-owners of an Inn. they both know the owner of course. but were never told this was going to happen to either of them. so when the will is read there is surprises all round.
but they both have different views on what should happen next. Everleigh wants to list the Inn for sale as she could really use the money for her own dreams back home. but Cade wants to run the sunshine Inn all by himself. so what happens when two stubborn souls collide? and how will this work out in the coming days? but time is a funny old thing. and so is good people, who when they to know to each other and start spending time with each other might just see some different sides, some pleasing sides to each other.
its not all plain sailing and communication is once again the doom bringer of all relationships! when will we human learn this?
i wasn't sure where the outcome would be. i had my own business brain on and was trying to figure out a plan for them both though haha. but i was frustrated with how they kept coming to a brick wall with each other over this time and time again. but i get it, giving up on your dreams or plans must be hard for anyone to have to do even characters in books.
plus with a growing attraction to each other this does complicate things when both have hurts they need to heal. this part of the story adds more depth and knowledge to the characters. you get to know them, get to care for them more.
i enjoyed this book a lot. it felt real and even though as i said i wanted to shake the pair. this in itself just shows how realistic it was. black and white is almost never present in matter of money, the heart, or humans. and we felt that for our pair.

This book wasn't what I expected but it surprised me in all the good ways! This is a sweet story of two imperfect people who have a past that makes them want to protect their hearts. Their "guardian angel" thrusts them together in a circumstance they could have never foreseen, beginning a journey of healing, love, and growth for them both as individuals and possibly more.

Such a sweet and endearing novel! Perfect for cozy, second-chance, grumpy/sunshine readers! Thank you @tnzfiction for my early reading copy of Amy Clipston’s new novel, SECOND CHANCE AT SUNSHINE INN, out July 8.
The novel starts right away with Everleigh and Cade receiving their inheritance from Everleigh’s godmother to co-own the Sunshine Inn, a beautiful bed and breakfast.
Everleigh of course was her godmother’s favorite and wants to sell the inn so she can open a nonprofit to support families with children in the NICU. She is also grieving the loss of her dear, dear godmother.
Cade has has a rough past and Everleigh’s godmother gave him a new chance to work at her inn, where he enjoys cooking for the guests and repairing around the grounds. He has a kind side that has been trampled by those he thought loved him.
I am ready to pack my back for a long weekend at the Sunshine Inn, these characters are just so warm and loving!
Mentions of cancer, adoption, lost family NICU nursing, severe storms. Reach out if you have any questions!

Cade Witherspoon would rather run the Sunshine Inn by himself.
Everleigh gripped the door handle in the back seat of the

rock sang softly through the speakers while the wipers began their
rhythmic humming.
Everleigh turned to the stranger— Mr.
Witherspoon?— who watched her with a hesitant expression. Who
was he? And why was he here?
“I don’t know why she left your siblings out, but Alana included
us and Cade, who worked for her.” She smiled at the man.
He replied with a stoic nod.
This guy worked for Alana? Her godmother had never mentioned
him before.
I recommend reading this book.

When Everleigh's beloved godmother dies and leaves her half-owner of her B&B, Sunshine Inn, Everleigh is convinced that it was so she could sell the B&B and use the money to start the non-profit they'd discussed. But she's only half-owner. The other owner is a stranger, Cade, who's been working at the inn for the last couple of years. And he's not only as grumpy as she is sunshiny, he's determined to keep the inn going, whatever Everleigh says. She soon decides to move into the inn and become part of his life, getting to know him and helping him get to know her - then eventually he'll see her point of view. But such a plan has dangers to her heart she never thought of - and he's determined to stay single. Can they work out what Alana's true plan for the inn was before the combination of the attraction between them and their opposing viewpoints break things irretrievably?
A delightful story of developing, long-denied love, coupled with family drama of various sorts and a beautiful beachy setting. Cade is the quintessential grump, but admittedly did have good reasons for it, between unpleasant past happenings and an uncertain future with a business partner he's attracted to but who wants to pull the rug from under his feet. On that note, I have to admit that I got a little frustrated by Everleigh's utter inability to see the logic that if Alana had wanted to sell the inn to fund the non-profit, she could have done so at any time, but I guess we all have blind spots - others' are just more obvious! :-) Fortunately, she eventually does sort of come to see reason, though even then I think it was more that her own desires changed than that she saw his point of view. Regardless, it's a fun but at times serious read, with a good mix of fun moments and meaningful conversations. Recommended.

Second Chance at Sunshine Inn is a lovely story about finding second chances and love. When a beloved god-mother dies and leaves half of her property to Everleigh, she is shocked to find that she must share it with a man she had never even heard of before. What could her god-mother have been thinking? This is a delightful story of finding love through heartache where you least expect it. I give this story 5 stars. I received a complimentary review copy this book from the publisher and am writing this review voluntarily.

Because, they come from two different angles they also butt heads. As the dealine they have set for themselves approaches, will they be able to see what is best for everyone?
I found this a heart stirring book. Thought provoking yet entertaining. I enjoyed the easy way that each character developed along the way. This was a new author for me. I will keep tabs on her new releases.

Second Chance at the Sunshine Inn is a Coral Cove novel by Amy Clipston. Everleigh Hartnett has just completed her latest nursing contract in Texas and is heading home to Coral Cove, North Carolina. Unfortunately it is not for a well deserved rest but for the sad occasion of her dear godmother’s passing. Alana McFadden had been her mother’s best friend forever and an integral part of Everleigh’s life, almost like a second mother. She spend much of her growing up years at Alana’s beautiful beachfront Sunshine Inn, even working there as she got older. And now to think Alana is gone is unbearable.
With her rideshare moving at a snail’s pace from the airport, Everleigh worries she will be too late for the reading of the will. When she finally does get there, a stranger is the one to help her unload her luggage as the rain still comes down and the surly driver doesn’t move from his seat. The stranger even helps her get it into the attorney’s office, even following her inside. Everleigh is surprised when it is only her mother and the stranger, to be introduced as Cade Witherspoon, and herself that are called in for the reading of the will, with her siblings missing. An even bigger surprise comes when the bulk of Alana’s estate, including the Inn, its furnishings, and her accounts are to be split evenly between Everleigh and Cade.
Everleigh sees this as an opportunity to use the proceeds of a sale to start the nonprofit she had discussed with Alana, feeling that was the purpose of the legacy. Cade sees it as a new beginning, but one where he will run the Inn as Everleigh returns to her nomadic traveling nurse lifestyle as a silent partner.
As heads butt, realtors try to get the property for developers and a stranger from a grocery cart collision keeps inserting himself into Everleigh’s life. Months pass with no resolution. Reservations are reopened for the Inn and many return visitors come as well as new ones. And still, the conflict isn’t resolved. Neither is the personal tension between the two owners.
This is a well written story with endearing characters and a lovely coastal setting. I very much enjoyed this book and I do recommend it!

It was my first book by this author, but I already understand why everyone recommends her. Such incredible writing, such captivating characters. I read it too quickly and when I got to the end, I just wanted to go back to the beginning. I loved it.

It was so nice to go back to Coral Cove in Second Chance at Sunshine Inn! This bed and breakfast is just the kind of place I would love to stay at! In this wonderful story we get grumpy, full-of-hurts-from-his-past Cade and Everleigh who is little Miss Sunshine and a traveling NICU nurse. Well, they do say opposites attract right?! He wants to stay and continue working at the B & B that her godmother, Alana, left to the two of them; and Everleigh wants to sell to raise funds for a non-profit. I truly enjoyed watching them come together and get past things they are dealing with. They both loved Alana and both of them wanted to do what they thought she wanted. Of course, in the end it all comes together, and we're left with a very satisfying love story.
I'm a longtime fan of Amy Clipston's writing and I'm hoping there will more books set in Coral Cove in the future!
Thank you NetGalley for the opportunity to read and review. All opinions are my own.

Everleigh is a traveling nurse who's called home when her godmother dies and leaves her the beloved bed and breakfast, which was her home away from home, and the possibility of funding the nonprofit they dreamed of together. Except she has only inherited half, the other half belonging to the caretaker, Cade. He doesn't want to sell. The B&B is his second chance at starting over.
Both think they know what her godmother wanted, but they strike a deal, if the B&B sells by a specific date, then they split the money, otherwise it stays an inn.
As they work together to spruce the place up, they get offers, and there are some sparks between them. Each has some unresolved family situations which pull on their hearts, too.
With a deadline looming and decisions to make, will they find their HEA or part their separate ways?
A sweet romance in a seaside town full of possibilities.
