I requested this book because I love Beth Wiseman. I was pleasantly surprised to see that it was several short stories! In the first story, Beth Wiseman shares the story of Ruth Anne and Levi who must come to terms with not knowing what to do or how to cope with having an imperfect child and how to be there for their child and each other. As we read along we hope they will find their way, and be there for each other.

The next story is about Carolyn and Joshua, who are welcoming a new addition to their new family. While Joshua adopted Ben, his wife, Carolyn, is fearful and worried that once the new baby comes, Joshua won’t feel the same about Ben. She also worries about giving up her income and feeling secure in the trust that her child worried, and has deep fears that once the new little one comes, Joshua won’t feel the same about Ben. Carolyn needs to believe in her faith and trust the power of prayer.

The third story brings tears to your eyes because Elle and Chris have had so much tragedy. Elle is blind and has overcome so much with it, and now she’s expecting her first child with Chris. They have family struggles of control along the way and Chris steps in and takes care of so much for her and their unborn child.

The last story is about Etta who, at 42, has a new baby. She has so much hope that her son, David will return. It’s so awesome how every story is about a baby, and how each family deals with their families, their hearts, and their faith.
