This book was a lovely surprise—Little Curiosities: Nature’s Glow dives into the magical world of bioluminescence with just the right mix of fun facts and storytelling charm. From fireflies to glowing mushrooms, every page brings something new and fascinating. I especially liked how it introduced lesser-known creatures like the disco clam—it felt like I was learning right alongside a curious kid. It’s the kind of book I would’ve adored as a child, and even now, it made me pause and appreciate how much beauty hides in nature’s weirdest corners.

Okay, so I devoured this book with my niece like a glowworm at a disco party. 😎 Little Curiosities: Nature’s Glow is packed with “wait, WHAT?” moments—from jellies that light up like fireworks to beach waves that sparkle like glitter. It’s fun, fast, and kinda magical. Honestly, it made me wanna grab a flashlight and go find something glowing in the backyard. Read this if you’re into cool creatures, glowing surprises, or just want your brain to be a little more sparkly. 🔦✨

This book is an absolute winner, educational but so beautifully told and illustrated. My little one was totally enthralled that creatures and nature exist that glow in the dark and the images are bright and engaging and gave us lots to talk about whilst reading. There are the perfect amount of words on each page to give the background to bioluminescence and the reasons for it for bugs or mushrooms etc but also allow the imagination of the child to take over through the way each page is presented - almost a mini story in itself. The photos are out of this world and it really did seem like we were reading about magic. We will be reading this nightly if my little one gets his way.
