I absolutely fell in love with this book, it was fantastic. Easily five stars. Will be recommending to everyone who loves historical fiction!

Wonderful story of Faith and trying to do the right thing to unite a family! this time in history must have been terrible to live thru, not know who you could or not trust. Very much could happen again : as many don't listen or know their history!

Searching for Jakup is the second book in Roberta Kagan's WW 2 A Million Miracles series. Pitor Barr had once had it all: a wife he adored, a precious son and his own business. The Nazis stole all that from him. His wife's dying plea to him was that he promises to find their son Jakup who was stolen from them. This is a promise Pitor intends to keep.
In this well plotted story readers follow Pitor as he faces danger and seemingly impossible situations as he embarks on his perilous mission. Well written and engrossing, the narrative moves quickly and left me looking forward to the next book in the series.

How could anyone give any of Roberta Keagan’s books less than 5 stars! This book is no exception. A broken hearted father missing his murderd wife and stolen child will do anything to find his son who was stolen from the ghetto and being brought up by a German couple. Terrifying and heart breaking.wonderful writing. Can’t wait for the follow up book!

Another story from one of my favorite authors. Well researched WWII story. Told with the love they had for their family. Great story! Thank you to NetGalley for a chance to read this ARC. The review is my own

"Searching for Jakup" is a powerful and emotional read, a gripping novel of survival, sacrifice, and the quiet, defiant strength of a father’s love against unimaginable evil in the darkest times.
Kagan’s reputation for vivid storytelling and emotionally resonant characters is likely to deliver both historical insight and heart-wrenching drama to anyone who reads this book. Thanks to NetGalley and to the publishers of this book for giving me a free advance copy to preview. I am leaving this review voluntarily.

I was executed to get this after the first installment, and I can’t wait for the next one! However, I have to wonder what Rudolf Hess was doing at an Eagle’s Nest party in 1943 when he was a prisoner in England as of 1941 until the Nuremberg Trials in 1946.

In this second installment of the “A Million Miracles Series”, we find Pitor urgently searching for his young son, Jakup.
Mila,Pitor’s wife, has been murdered by the Nazis, and the only thing Pitor lives for is his son.
Devising an incredible plan, Pitor impersonates a Nazi soldier, and actually becomes an important security guard to Hitler.
His motivation is to find Jakup, and he excels in his job, and meets a woman who can help him.
This was a fast reading book, full of action.
Unfortunately, the ending leaves the reader hanging, waiting anxiously for the next book!!
Thank you to author Roberta Kagan, The Book Whisperer, and Net galley for the ARC, in return for my honest and unbiased review.

Faith and Determination
This book was filled with faith and determination by Pitor to find his son Jakup after he lost Mila. I cannot believe the danger he is in and what he has done to find his son. It was inspiring.
I enjoyed the interaction between Pitor and Steffi as well as that between Steffi and Emilia. I do hope that Pitor returns to Steffi.
I enjoyed the story and the characters and now I can’t wait for the next book to find out if Pitor finds his son.
I was given a free advance copy to read. The review and the words are my own.

I read the first one in this series so was glad when the second one was offered. I have read 6 books by this author and love her characters, descriptions and how she blends them into real events. Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for offering this book. I highly recommend both books in the series as well as her other books written almost exclusively about WWII.

I love all of Roberta Kagans book and this one is no exception.
I look forward to reading the next one in this series.
Could not put this book down wanting all the time to find out what happens next.
Mila and Pitors son has been kidnapped by the Nazis, and Mila has been shot.
Pitor promises her on her death bed that he will get their son back and take him to,safety.
Mila dies and Pitor wants his son back.
The story then goes on in finding his way to find his son but how he is going to,do this is quite impossible to get to him.
Please send me the next one cannot wait.

"Searching for Jakup" is a powerful historical novel. It explores the depths of a father's love during one of the darkest periods in human history - World War II.
The story follows Pitor Bar, a father who has lost everything to war - his home, family, and beloved wife Mila. In her final moments, Mila makes Pitor promise to go on and find their son, Jakup. This promise becomes Pitor's mission, sending him on an incredibly dangerous mission into Nazi Germany.
This book really makes you look at the choices people face during extreme conflict. This book is perfect if you like historical fiction. Many thanks to NetGalley and to the publishers of this book for giving me a free advance copy to preview. I am leaving this review voluntarily.

Thank you to Netgalley and Book Whisperer for an early copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. I normally do not read Historical Fiction, but Roberta Kagan has written these so well that I love them. I usually read these in one day. I loved the storyline and thought the characters had great growth. I would definitely recommend this book.
