This has to be the most comprehensive and detailed guide to online eBook marketing that I have ever read.
This practical and concise guide is packed with detailed implementation plans, all written in a friendly and approachable style, from an author who has been there and implemented these tools and techniques.
I have already made pages of notes and I know that I will come back to this book as my main reference.
Highly recommended.

This book is packed with great advice for authors on how to use Amazon to their best advantage to sell more books. It's clearly written and has tons of practical advice, along with helpful screen shots.
Any author, especially new ones, will find plenty of great ideas. I found it especially useful when dealing with areas in Amazon many authors don't use to their advantage, including Author Central and Goodreads.
This powerpack also includes a second volume that is extremely helpful in describing the book review process. As a reviewer and published author, I found this advice to be both accurate and to the point.
So why did I give this book only four stars? While the book is helpful for all authors, for some people it will be less useful than for others. The advice for specific types of books puts more emphasis on fiction instead of non-fiction and on books of more general interest. If you write, as I do, in a smaller niche, you will have to apply your own knowledge of both your markewt and your potential readers to the advice here.
For many authors this may not be hard to do, but for others this will be difficult. The book would have been stronger if it had added a chapter of how-to specifically for a non-fiction book. Even if this had been in a popular genre, such as cookbooks, it would have been helpful.
This book will be a great help to authors to sell more books, even if you never sell a truckload.

An interesting guide to selling your book on Amazon but could also be very helpful for any site on the Internet. Only thing I was unhappy about is that I thought this was for retailers like myself selling on Amazon not authors but this is my fault not the author.

I requested this book for review out of curiosity, because a lot of books claim to have the magic secret to book sales and most of them have similar advice, so I wanted to see if the grand claims in the title had anything different to offer.
A lot of the familiar advice about building an author platform was there, but what was different about this book was that instead of just advising authors about tagging their books, it gave some good advice about HOW to tag their books effectively. I got an author friend to test some of the theory and at first, it worked. Her books came up within the first few pages of chosen search terms.
Of course the real trick to that is determining what words people are likely to search on to find your kind of book, but advice for that is given too.
Accompanying the book is a companion book about getting reviews. This was mostly familiar techniques; asking appropriate Amazon reviewers, joining review sites on reader sites, etc. My one niggle was the emphasis on Goodreads, which I would personally tell any author to avoid, or at least to tread very carefully on.
Overall a good choice if you're going to buy just one book on indie book marketing. It has all the advice the others do plus results of the author's own experiments, and a link to her blog where you can keep up on changes in algorithms.

An interesting book for those looking to publish or sell their books via Amazon. Lots of ideas and tips for improving your chances in an overcrowded market. Modern-day authors need to know about marketing and reader-interaction, as well as writing the best book possible, so there are definitely things in this book that are worth thinking about and applying. Different things will work for different people, but guidance such as this is always helpful. Another tool to the budding author's arsenal.

This book was informative and I would recommend to anyone who is an author and wants to increase sales of books
