What a read, your hooked from the opening line and Michael Stone's my new favorite author. Streeter's awesome, a tough, brainy bounty hunter and one willing enough too even to help his Ex.
He has multiple ex wives, a mess of girlfriend's, been a linebacker, an accountant, and a bouncer.
Both Spencer and Nick Travers came to mind as I read this one and I mean that as a compliment. What really makes this such an awesome read, is Stone's ability to make all the supporting characters so real life and believable.
He even made me like a bad lady, with Carol Irwin. Her whole storyline is so masterfully done, he doesn't give away totally the fact, that she really wants to kill Streeter and blames him for all the problems in her life.
Stone uses a tried and true formula, it's been done before but he puts his stamp on it, full of twist and turns and it's a really good read.
Definitely recommend this one, it's the 2nd in the Streeter series. Picked up the 1st in the series 'Low End of Nowhere', and have the 3rd on the buy list.
I do hope that Stone will add new books to this four book series. (le
