Description
"THE STUFF ROMANCE DREAMS ARE MADE OF." - Ali Hazelwood, New York Times bestselling author
Sparks fly in this second chance m/m rom com when an unlucky-in-love event planner realizes the man-of-honor at the high profile wedding he's planning is the same man who broke his heart.
They say you never forget your first kiss. But Jordan Carter wishes he could forget the one he shared with Jamie Peters as teens. And the one they almost shared again last year before Jamie made it clear he wasn’t the “right” man for Jordan to be with while he’s figuring himself out.
Now, Jordan’s fully focused on his career at 24 Carter Gold, his family’s event planning company, and ready to move on - until his boss assigns him to plan a new client’s high-profile wedding. The bride’s man-of-honor? None other than Jamie.
As things ramp up the closer they get to the wedding, so does Jordan’s relationship with Jamie, with sarcastic asides turning into steamy hook-ups. But can Jordan afford to pursue Jamie if he’s still unsure of who he is? Or is knowing who he loves enough? Venue shopping, cake-tastings, and dress fittings with the man he can’t forget just might change the man Jordan Carter is meant to become.
Last First Kiss by Julian Winters is a second chance romance about finding yourself–and the love of your life.
“A tender, slow burn romance about falling for your first crush, questioning your identity on your own terms, and finding your place in the world. Julian Winters delivers a sweet, funny, steamy, and uplifting love story that is sure to make readers swoon.” - Alexis Daria, USA Today bestselling author of You Had Me at Hola
"No one writes as vividly and as tenderly as Julian Winters, and Last First Kiss is his best yet. It's as sweet as an unexpected slow dance in a conservatory and as playful as a cake tasting turned flirty, and while Jordan and Jamie may have had their last first kiss, you'll be sighing happily over their firsts and lasts long after you close the book." - Julie Murphy and Sierra Simone, authors of A Jingle Bell Mingle
“Pure and utter fun, with a sparkling cast of characters and an effortlessly witty voice. Last First Kiss is a love letter to late bloomers, found family, and anyone who's still trying to figure themselves out — and a reminder that it can be an ongoing process.” - Rachel Lynn Solomon, New York Times bestselling author of What Happens in Amsterdam

Julian Winters never missies! Last First Kiss was so delightful. I loved both Jordan and Jamie, and their chemistry was *chef's kiss* and the side characters, too! Amy and Javi both had my heart just as much. Winters always writes characters who are so incredibly relatable and real. I could not put this one down.
Thank you to NetGalley and St Martin's Griffin for providing me with an eARC in exchange for an honest review.
After reading Julian Winters’ book I Think They Love You, I became an immediate fan. So I JUMPED at the chance to read Last First Kiss, which was 1000% worth the wait. The tension between Jordan and Jamie had me squealing. I loved every second of watching them dance around their feelings and laughed out loud at Jordan’s inner thoughts more than once.
Jordan and Jamie are EVERYTHING and then some. Their slow burn tension and pent up attraction was done beautifully. Watching Jordan figure out both his sexuality and his identity was so powerful as well. While Jamie played a role in Jordan’s journey, it was so nice to see that Jordan found his own way as he also found love.
It’s no surprise to me that this was an instant hit. Julian Winters truly is crushing it! I loved Denz and Braylon and now I love Jamie and Jordan. I’m so excited to see who comes next and to celebrate these beautiful love stories. I could not recommend this book more highly!

Julian Winters has crafted the ultimate swoony, sparkling second-chance romance in Last First Kiss. Equal parts heartfelt and hilarious, this rom com blends wedding-planning chaos, irresistible banter, and the tender ache of first love rediscovered. Jordan’s struggle to balance ambition, family expectations, and his still-burning connection with Jamie will resonate with anyone who’s ever questioned whether timing—or identity—stood in the way of happiness. With witty dialogue, heartfelt vulnerability, and plenty of steam, this book is as charming as it is romantic. The stuff of true romance dreams, it’s a celebration of self-discovery, queer love, and happily-ever-afters that feel both hard-won and utterly inevitable.

“When Jordan Carter tells his family the story of how he met his first love, it’ll start a little something like this: Jamie Noah Peters was his first kiss. His first crush? His first boyfriend. He’s the first man—the first person—Jordan ever felt something intimate for. Something so big and consuming and oddly comforting, he couldn’t put a name to it. Until he did. Love.…But he’ll include the fights and misunderstandings. Because that’s what love is like—a puzzle. You need every piece to see the full picture. And when he finishes the story, Jordan hopes it goes like this: Jamie Noah Peters was his last first everything. The beginning and end to every moment Jordan loves most.”
Last First Kiss was everything I was hoping it would be and SO much more!
I was so intrigued by Jordan and Jamie in I Think They Love You and I thought the author did a great job of dropping in a bit of intrigue around their story that left me ready for more by the time Last First Kiss showed up on NetGalley.
Jordan and Jamie’s story features a hard fought road to their happily ever after, filled with significant character growth and emotional maturity. You will be rooting for them the whole way! And let me tell you, Julian Winters knows how to write a spicy scene or two!
Last First Kiss can be read as a standalone but will be a lot more fun if you read I Think They Love You first.

First, I would like to thank Netgalley, the publisher, and the author for providing me a copy of this eARC in exchange for an honest review.
This book was absolutely fabulous. I had a really hard time putting it down even from page one. Usually when I read romance novels it takes me a couple of chapters to really get into it, but this one had me hooked from the first page and invested by chapter 3. I can’t wait for this book to his publication because I really want a physical copy of it for my own! I think one of the things I didn’t realize going into this book was that it was the second book in a series. However, this book was written in such a way that I didn’t feel like I needed to know the previous book to enjoy this one, but I sure am going to read the first one now.
I think one of the things I really appreciated about this book that you could see even just from chapter one is that the couple really made each other better people. We see right away that when they are together, they grow together, and it just really makes them a joy to read about. I also think that the ending to this book was so phenomenal and felt so amazing was just because of all the back and forth that the characters really had throughout the story. I loved that for them, and it also made it even more enjoyable to read and hard to put down. The spicy level was also a level 3.
Overall, I would rate this book a 5 out of 5 stars. I really loved it, and I can’t wait to dive in and read more by this author.
