Description

Some might think the phrase, “you complete me” is a just cheesy line from the movies, but Lizbeth Sanders knows better…

In MATTER OF TIME, Lizbeth Sanders has spent the past fifteen years desperately searching for someone to fill the void left by Logan Steele’s disappearance from her life. However, rather than finding love and happiness, all she’s found is disappointment, heartache, and an ever-present longing for the man she can never have.

Fifteen years ago, Logan Steele left the woman he loved to marry his high school sweetheart and be a father to the child he didn’t know he had. He’s always tried to do the honorable thing, to be a good husband and a great father, but despite his sacrifices and best efforts, the shaky foundation of his marriage crumbles and falls apart.

When his identical twin surprises him with a reintroduction to Lizbeth, Logan feels like he’s been given a second chance—at life and love. But a lot can change in fifteen years, and after hurting her so badly the first time, building trust isn’t just hard, it’s nearly impossible—especially when duty and obligation pulls him away again.

Each book in the Heat Wave series stands alone and can be read out of order.

pretty good. Except I would have made him grovel, just a little bit.

A beautiful second chance romance. Loved it and the characters reminded me that love is enduring.

Wow, what a great book from "new to me" author Alannah Lynne! Matter of Time is a reunion romance with twists and turns that will keep you on the edge of your seat from beginning to end. The two main characters, event planner Lizbeth Sanders, and former race car driver turned entrepreneur Logan Steele, fell madly in love in college. Due to circumstances beyond Logan's control, they had to end their relationship abruptly. Unfortunately, Lizbeth has never been able to replace the love and affection Logan showered her with, and as a result, her life has always felt incomplete. Furthermore, Logan has lived with the same emptiness. Now fifteen years later, they are brought together again by Logan's twin brother Lucas, and the rest as they say is history.

The chemistry between Lizbeth and Logan is amazingly hot and sexy, just like it was over a decade ago. Logan is a true alpha in the bedroom and Lizbeth is a willing participant in anything Logan wants to do with her. She turns to mush with each and every caress, kiss and embrace. However, Lizbeth is a smart and independent woman, and her ability to be compassionate and understand all sides of a situation, is what keeps Logan balanced during some troublesome times with his ex-wife and children.

I really liked both Lizbeth and Logan, and there was never a moment that I did not want them to work out their past and forge a future together. Lucas and his sex club add an additional bit of spice to an already scorching read. Overall, this is a well-written book with a happy ending that will leave a smile on your face. This is the fifth book in Ms. Lynne's Heat Wave series and I can't wait to read the earlier installments.

Matter of Time is the fifth full-length, sixth overall, and latest release in the Alannah Lynne-penned Heat Wave series. Fans of the series will remember Lizbeth Sanders as Kevin Mazze's on-again, off-again girlfriend in book three, Crossing Lines, and this story takes place a few months after the events in the Christmas novella A Christmas Heat Wave. However, this can be read separately from that short story.

This is a second chance romance between two people who find their way back to one another with a little help from the hero's twin brother. There are obvious complications--Logan's soon-to-be ex-wife and his three children--and then there's the trust that he needs to earn once again from Lizbeth. The love is very much still there, though I don't think I would have forgiven him as quickly as Lizbeth did, but that's me.

Lizbeth Sanders is a strong lead female character and her ability to forgive and take back the man who broke her heart certainly should not be seen as weakness. She's steadfast and picked herself up after the break-up and went on to become a successful businesswoman. With an opportunity to find the happiness and peace she's always sought finally within her sights, I understand why took a chance again with Logan.

I'm not sure if there's going to be another novel to be added to this series that I now can't get enough of but if there will be one, I'd be more than happy to read it. There will be a spin-off series entitled Pandora's Playground, and yes, I'm looking forward to reading the books, especially because I'd love to read Lucas Steele's story. The road to love is never easy but Matter of Time shows it's worth the trip. 4.5 stars! ♥

Thanks to the author for an ARC to read and review.

I had a rocky introduction to this series but the last two books have been phenomenal. Lizbeth appeared in one of the other books so it was nice to see her get her HEA here. Logan has loved her all his life, but unfortunately due to a mistake he made in college their lives were lived separately. Even though he never forgot her, and she never forgot him. Sometimes life gets in the way, and things don't turn out the way they should. This is that story. If its meant to be then it will come around again. I really enjoyed this story and the characters. Overall entertainment was five stars!
My review will post on my blog on 4/24

I like Alannah Lynne and so do her work. I’ve read one of her books in the Heat Wave Series (Saving Me) and have re-visited it a few times. She’s got good presence of writing and her narration is worth reading.

‘Matter Of Time’ (Book 5/Heat Wave Series) doesn’t disappoint at all. Lizbeth Sanders and Logan Steele had been together in college, but circumstances tear them apart and send them on a journey to opposite ends of a life.

But it’s only a “Matter Of Time’ before Logan and Liz come together. Sixteen years is what it takes to bring them face-to-face. Sixteen years hasn’t even scratched the surface of the love they have for each other and sixteen years later brings them together with deeper love and intense passion for each other. A second chance at love and a second chance to make a future that was denied to them, Liz and Logan need to get to know each other all over again and make time for the lives they have created in the time apart.

Matter Of Time is an enigmatic story of reuniting with that first love and rekindling the passion and desire between two fabulous characters meant to be together. Alannah is very good with creating her characters with so much depth and individuality, and infusing emotions of pain, love and patience that tugs at our heartstrings is no simple matter. Lizbeth is just an amazingly courageous and lovable person and Logan will pull at your heartstrings as he struggles to balance a family and new life with Lixbeth.

With secondary characters making their presence felt and tempting to read their stories, Alannah keeps her readers interested and vested in Logan and Liz.

A definite winner for me and definitely in my list of repeat authors!!!

Matter of Time is a sweet-sexy second chance read, I felt the strength of their connection and even I felt the loss of what their separation did to them both. The guilt, the loss and the need... In this story, "You Complete Me" is true in every sense of the word, as they deal with the past, come to terms with their present and plan for their future, as long as they have each other anything is possible. This was an easy read and enjoyable, I can't help feel like something is missing, perhaps the fifteen years is what I am having such a hard time coming to terms with, but it is what it is. Recommended for fans of second chance romances and believers of soul mates.

Logan is one of the most admirable men I have read in a long time. Severing ties and breaking his own heart, to do in his mind and most people's eyes the right and proper thing to do. Fifteen years later, Logan's world has changed but his heart and soul are still with the woman he walked away from. He's determined to show her that he is where she belongs.

Lizbeth gave part of herself away fifteen years ago and never got it back. Holding every man to this day in comparison to the one that had to walk away. She has made a life for herself, however it's been a lonely one. A chance encounter, a set up, and club of exotic desires putting Lizbeth's fantasies right before her eyes.

Logan and Lizbeth's chemistry will leave you smokin in Matter of Time. Rekindling love is not the proper term for this story. It's more like reuniting of soulmates. Two people leaving such an impact on one another that they have carried pieces of other since parting. Never feeling whole. Ms. Lynne somehow put all those complex feeling into words. Creating a story with fun and likable characters, lust spanning years, love deeper than words can express, and a few moments that make you think.

Matter of Time is my first read my Alannah Lynne will not be my last.

Matter of Time is a second chance romance that pairs up Lizbeth and Logan after fifteen years of being apart. Neither of them expected that they’d end up apart – from the start they knew they had a forever kind of love. But when Logan learns that he’s a father, bound to do the right thing – he leaves Lizbeth and returns home to his high school sweetheart even if it means losing the love of his life. Now, fifteen years later when Lizbeth runs into his twin brother, she is about to be reunited with the man she never got over. Logan is finally ready to put his heart first and go after what he wants most, a second chance to have the life that he lost all those years ago.
Logan and Lizbeth were such a sexy couple, and it was obvious that they were very in love. They are also open and comfortable with their sexuality, so, as soon as they get back together, they jump right into the relationship. I love the premise of their broken hearts only to find each other again for a second chance. I think Logan and Lizbeth truly deserved to be together.
Get it and see do they figure things out. Do they get together . Does Lizbeth know why it fell apartThere was a BSMN room but it was a lite one ( a read) in the story. It was a great contemporary one and I will look forward to many more reads for the author

I really liked this book, especially how the main characters were actually adults! And willing to make compromises and sacrifices to be together and/or do the right thing.

Lizbeth was still fragile but had managed to rebuild her life for the most part until she was set up. And you can't blame Logan too much for doing the right thing by his child (and he seemed to be a good dad, always an attractive trait). They were able to pick up pretty much where they left off and it made for a sexy read. Logan definitely fit in with his brother's club!

I can't wait till the next book in the series comes out. The sneak peek has me very interested! And even more so when Logan's brother meets his match, that will be a fun read!

I will post my review on Facebook and Twitter.
