Wow, what a fun, action-packed short story, with a Wild West flare! Great setup for the full length novel, Cactus Creek Challenge, with the transition at the end too. Keeping law and order back in the 1870's wasn't an easy task, especially when a notorious gang rides through town, but Sheriff Wilder doesn't scare easily. A murder suspect who threatens not only him, but the whole town, makes everyone nervous. What will happen when the rest of his outlaw brothers catch up to him?
A fun introduction to young Ben, Sheriff Wilder's son, who grows up to become the center of the novel to follow, along with his friend Cassie. Looking forward to reading Cactus Creek Challenge soon!
