Thank you Netgalley and One More Chapter for the ARC of Redemption River by Taylor Gray.
This book follows the story of Brodie. Brodie is the wreckless brother (or so it seems) who has a lavish lifestyle and burns through money and women very quickly. He has firmly rejected his former life but through the discovery of an unexpected daughter, his life is turned upside down.
Much like the first two books, this is an exploration of male emotions, issues and livez. It is a poignant look at the problems men can face and through the story we see the impact of family and particularly the father, son bond on how Brodie in particular turns out. The book is thoughtful, full of heart and full of love. It is beautiful to see a man explore in himself what he needs to become to be a father of his child but also why he is how he is. Brodie looks at his failings head on and he does not succeed right away but he learns and grows. His love story is not the true focus of this book in the way you expect, but his love for his daughter shines through.
The development, pacing, world building and honestly everything is to the quality that I have grown to expect of this author and series. I am always blown away by the heart felt meaningful story that is woven into every book of this series and I am blessed to continue in this journey.
Taylor Gray has a way of writing men that is equal parts realistic and heartfelt. This is not just a story of brothers, this is a story of men and how deeply they feel, how broken then can be and how powerful their journeys become. Love is blended into these stories, and I can honestly say this is one of my favourite series ever, and that's saying a lot!
Bring on the next book!!
I am new to this series. I jumped in at three, I was able to catch it up, although I am sorry I missed books one and two I will not make that mistake again.
I am so curious to see where this series is going to go, I want more of the brothers, their relationships, their hometown

As soon as this book landed in my inbox I knew that I had to start it straight away as I enjoyed the first two books in the series so much. I loved the author's writing style, I found it easy to follow and had good pacing. I loved the small town place setting and the chemistry between the main characters was steamy. Overall a brilliant novel that I highly recommend to other readers.
I look forward to reading more by the author.
💝 Thank you to One More Chapter, the author, Taylor Gray and Netgalley for my arc ebook copy of the book in exchange for an honest review.
This is the third in this series and it is just as good as the previous two instalments. It you haven't read them, I recommend reading them first, because we get to visit with Bella, Logan, Noah and Ren. It addresses some continuing issues, but could also be read as a standalone.
Why I love this book (and series):
Everyone is trying to do their best. there is no nonsense issues that could be resolved if the characters just talked to each other
Third person. I love third person.
Growth and self reflection
Well written and thoughtful
Closed door.
This book and the series is easy to read and enjoyable.
thanks to NetGalley and HarperCollins UK, One More Chapter for providing me with an digital copy in exchange for an honest review. I'd buy it if they hadn't, because I loved it.
This story made me cry multiple times and I'm not a big crier. I am so glad the father son bond was fixed and seeing the daddy/daughter bond change everything? Beautiful. The characters were so well written and the story was perfectly paced i absolutely loved this book and hope it does as amazing as i feel it should, 5 star read.
Redemption River by Taylor Gray is a powerful, emotionally rich instalment in the Autumn Falls series and easily my favourite so far.
Although it’s the third book in the series, it works beautifully as a standalone, but as someone who’s read the first two, I couldn’t wait to dive back into this world and into the Carter family again.
From the very beginning, it feels special — even the Spotify playlist at the front of the book adds an extra layer of atmosphere, and I loved listening along as I read.
This story follows Brodie; the so-called “reckless” brother, the one with the lavish lifestyle, the fast money, and the revolving door of women.
He’s rejected his past and built a life that looks shiny on the surface, but underneath it’s clear he’s been running — from his family, his history, and himself.
When an unexpected daughter enters his life, everything shifts and his entire world is turned upside down.
Suddenly, Brodie is forced to stop running, to face responsibility, and to confront the broken parts of himself he’s worked so hard to avoid.
Taylor Gray writes male characters with such emotional honesty — her men feel real, vulnerable, flawed, and deeply human. This isn’t just a story about brothers; it’s a story about men — how deeply they feel, how broken they can be, and how powerful their healing journeys can become.
The Carter family dynamic is once again a huge strength of the novel, showing both the love and the dysfunction that shape them. Brodie and Maeve’s relationship is messy, complicated, and beautifully non-linear — their shared history constantly resurfacing as they try to navigate something new.
But this isn’t primarily a romance. At its heart, Redemption River is about identity, fatherhood, accountability, and redemption.
It’s about a prodigal son learning who he is, stepping up unexpectedly, trying to heal old wounds, and rebuilding fractured relationships — especially with his own father.
There’s drama, danger, unresolved past trauma, and emotional fallout that ripples through more than one family, but the emotional core of this book lies in the parent–child relationships.
Three scenes in particular caught me completely off guard — tender, raw, and beautifully written — and genuinely brought tears to my eyes.
The bonus chapter was the perfect finishing touch. Seeing Ethan and Piper again was intriguing, and I love how Ethan’s character continues to quietly make his presence felt even while remaining a mystery. It feels like something big is coming — and I’m so ready for his story.
Emotional, raw, and deeply character-driven, Redemption River is a story of redemption in the truest sense — not perfection, not instant healing, but growth, accountability, and choosing to become better.
A moving, beautifully written instalment of the series. I cannot wait to read the next one!
With thanks to the publishers and NetGalley for an ARC in exchange for an honest review.
Redemption River by Taylor Gray is a powerful, deeply emotional romance that stays with you long after the last page. Gray masterfully blends raw vulnerability with slow‑burn passion, creating characters and a connection that feels authentic and unforgettable. The story’s emotional depth and heartfelt growth make it a standout for readers who love romance with real stakes, rich character development, and a satisfying, soul‑healing love story.

wow upon wow. i was not over Autumn falls and Bella and Logan's story. although what that book did to me was the most beautiful thing ever. i still want to cry with the emotion i felt for it even now! yes yes i know, its a book. but i dont care. that book....
then there was silver sky. i of course didn't think anything could top book 1.not ever. no way. and then you bought him along didn't you Taylor. you bought those two along and sent them on a ranch and a ride together and so yes. you did it to me again. im coming now to believe that this whole series and this whole family will have all of my heart. and now i know we have some of the more mysterious brother to capture. we've seen glimpses of them and certainly mentions in thoughts and around the family table. this family basically has my whole heart and all the valves in between, haha. was i ready for redemption? well, lets see. oh yes, the Carter family it seems you have indeed done it again. my chest is once again feeling all kinds of emotion just thinking about what I've just read. we have Brodie this time. ive loved his little inclusions in the previous books. hes always been the reckless louder than life one. the puppy like characters that comes bubbling through to mock take his brothers in the best way. but hes actually still always there for the boys in the previous ones too.
we think we know Brodie. we certainly think we see a side to him that is loud, lavish and in for a good time.
he too though ran from their past and wasn't no less a victim from it. how he chose to cope may be different but its no less filled with a deep soul that just sometimes gets through the day.
Brodie has no choice but to stand still in this book though. hes got things he has to face not least something rather major like a child. the shock and surprise and fear that comes with this felt so real. not least because of how this family are with each other. we've seen these men go through it with their own father. we've seen the redemption but pain over that. how they left, how it ended, what they lost along the way they are still not quite over. they have to deal with what that time in their life did to them and it was a shift and change to all their poor souls.
what we see in these books is the brilliance of writing men who feel. who flail. or fall apart but also their beautiful bold and courageous hearts. you feel all the more connected, you feel all the more for them because of these hearts. they aren't perfect. oh no they are not. but that in itself is the beauty of them and these books. we are seeing real. we are truly seeing real here and feel it alongside them every step of the way.
each brother has his own voice and that is one we want to hear.
watching Brodie and Mauve navigate this was another kind of wonderful. and again i once again have to praise just how it is written. its not perfect, insta love or resolved with a kiss or steam. its heart and soul real. Brodie also showed us another kind of love story. one that you can have with your own child. that melted me into one huge rippling puddle and im not mad about that.
once again this book was gorgeous and once again it sit perfectly alongside the others. this is a series to cherish. i shall be asking for this whole series as a whole when they all come out. i want to keep them forever.
