Dragon Forged by Donna Grant, published by DL Grant LLC, is book 10 in the Dragon Kings Series.
This is Hector and Emilia's story. Suspenseful, dramatic, full of twists and turns that had me guessing till tzhe very end, I loved reading this gem of a story.

Hector is a Dragon King. Filled with magic and very powerful. In this book he is bound and forced into serving. I loved how Emelia came into her own. Justice takes many forms but it wins out.

Dragon Forged takes us to a whole new location on Zora - Highvale, a hidden sanctuary for those with magic who seek safety from those who are trying to kill anyone with magic. It is accessible by going through the underground ruins of Iron Hall, and that's where Hector finds a corridor leading to the entrance to Highvale. Emilia diverts Hector away from Highvale, but his determination to figure out what is going on there brings him back to Highvale wherein he is trapped. Once there, Hector cannot access his magic nor can he return to Iron Hall. Thus begins his (and our) introduction to a new, evil being and also an old one who had previously helped the Dragon Kings but is now working against them. (We don't find out why.) It is now up to Emilia to help Hector and she does so by recruiting the assistance of Rhi and Lotti. Even with their help, Hector may end up lost to the Dragon Kings. Emilia is determined to fight for Hector's freedom. How they manage to save Hector and each other is the crux of this novel. Additionally, there is a residue left over from Highvale which is now adversely affecting three other Dragon Kings. We'll have to wait to learn what happens next in the upcoming novel in this complex Dragon Kings series, Dragon Sieged. Dragon Forged can be read as a standalone but is so much better knowing all the backstory of Donna Grant's Dark World.

Loved reading the mesmerizing and spellbinding paranormal story. Because of Amelia's visions, she has to stop any dragon king from reaching them, and she can't stop Hector, and he wants Amelia to answer his questions, but Hector gets imprisoned by the island. Read the highly recommended, wonderfully written, and a must read riveting romance story. Can't wait to read the next story in the series by the phenomenally talented author, Donna Grant!

Hector is the Dragon King of the Sea Green dragons. While working at Iron Hall, Hector rolls away a rock and finds a slowly blinking turquoise light. When he touches it, he is transported somewhere else. He was lured there and now he is trapped. Emilia is a seer and has seen the dragon in her vision. If the Dragon Kings come , they will destroy Zora. Because Emilia didn’t tell the higher ups about her vision, she is stripped of her status and put in jail. Hector gets her out and takes her to a cave that is has put a protection spell around. Hector is spelled to be a part of the island. He cannot hurt anyone who lives there. Unless they have hurt someone first. When he is put under a spell, will he be able to fight it and not hurt Emilia? Great story. Mystery. Sort of friends to lovers. Forced proximity. Steamy at the end. Hector is a dragon and doesn’t like downtime. Emilia likes it best being in the background. * VOLUNTARILY READ AND REVIEWED FOR NETGALLEY *

This was my first read of the series and I was so excited to be given an Advanced Reader Copy. Hector, the featured dragon king of this novel was so likeable. The story was intriguing. Though this is book #10, I did not feel lost and was able to follow along easily. Dragon Forged was a hit for me. I will definitely be adding the Dragon Kings series to my TBR.

I received an advance reader’s copy of Dragon Forged from Netgalley and the publisher in exchange for my honest review, and I am so grateful for the opportunity!
This is the first book I’ve read in the series, and I was pleasantly surprised by how easy it was to jump right in. Donna Grant does an excellent job of weaving in enough backstory and world-building that I never felt lost, even as a newcomer.
The characters are compelling, the pacing is fast, and the romance and action blend perfectly. I was immediately drawn into the story and found myself invested in the characters’ journeys from the very first chapter. I loved the rich mythology and the emotional depth throughout the book.
Thank you again to Netgalley and the publisher for providing my copy. I highly recommend Dragon Forged to both longtime fans and new readers alike!

Epic, fiery and unforgettable!
Dragon forged by Donna Grant got me hooked from the very first page. I was hooked with the intense world-building, fast-paced action, and sizzling chemistry between the lead characters. The dragons are fierce, the danger is real, and the love story burns brighter tben dragon fire.
Donna Grant has a gift for making you feel like your right thrre in the heart of the action, surrounded by magic, mystery and myth. The emotiomal depth made the characters feel truly alive. If your a fan of strong heroines, irresistible dragon shofters, and steamy romance, this book is an absolute must-read.

Another fantastic Dragon Kings book. These books don’t lack for action, suspense and hot romance. This is Hector and Emilia’s story. When Hector is exploring an old part of the city he gets sucked into another part of the world. Complete with Dragons of their own but not the same kind as him.
I received a complimentary copy of his book from NetGalley. The opinions expressed in this review are completely my own. Thank you for allowing me to review

A fast-moving, action-packed love story filled with danger and intrigue. This book adds a very unexpected twist to the Dragon King series by revealing an unknown location creating more danger and excitement to an already exciting series.
The reader will be drawn into the storyline and the interactions between Hector, Teo, and Emilia as they struggle to do the right thing. It’s about betrayal at the deepest level that causes intense pain and causes a turning point in the story.
I loved the underlying theme of creating a family from those around you if you have no real family. Sometimes a family member is evil and no matter how much you love them you must let them go. And sometimes you still want to save them and keep trying. This book is about knowing when to quit.
I look forward to hearing more on Teo he's a great character that will make an intriguing book.
5 STARS for giving everything, even ones life for love.

This Dragon Romance had all the things; found family, “court” intrigue, magic, and of course dragons! Emilia and Hector dive into the I want you but can’t have you vibes wholeheartedly and it takes a lot of well intentioned and ill intentioned meddling to get them to see the light. I loved Teo’s storyline and how quickly Emilia, Hector, and Teo find their place together as a family. Because this book is a part of a larger interconnected series I can’t wait to see what trouble Marcus gets into because that ending left me on tenterhooks. This book does not end on a cliffhanger but does set up the next book with the ending.

I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review. Yet another awesome book by my favorite author. Highly recommend to everyone.

Netgalley ARC Review
Dragon Forged feels like a return to the original series and I LOVED IT!
This book had everything that made me originally fall in love with the series. Slow burn romance, tension, angst, adventure, high stakes and heart.
Hector is the King of Sea Greens. While exploring Iron Hall he stumbles upon a portal that takes him to Highvale, the magical heart of Zora that had not yet been explored by the Dragon Kings. He finds himself in a tower where he meets a mysterious, beautiful woman who immediately yeets him through another portal back to the mainland. Hector isn’t one to give up though and he finds his own way back to Highvale to discover why he was brought there in the first place.
At Highvale he discovers the island is occupied by magical people who have escaped the persecution of Mainland Zora, building their own safe haven and they are OBSESSED with Dragon Kings and have statues that resemble the Kings though none have ever been to the island before.
Once on Highvale, Hector tracks down Emilia and demands answers for why she yeeted him and she reveals she is a seer who saw that if a Dragon King came to Highvale, death and destruction would follow. He agrees to leave but before he can, the leaders of Highvale trap him with intent to use him to destroy the people of Zora who persecuted them.
Hector is having none of it and when Emilia is targeted as a traitor he offers her his protection.
Hector and Emilia’s romance is a beautiful slow burn as they slowly build trust for one another and face down their enemies together. My favourite character however was Teo who was so sweet and spunky and desperate for love and family. He definitely stole my whole heart.
My only issue was that when the true villain was revealed they were barely punished and allowed to go free despite being responsible for several murders and another character was horrifically punished for their crime though that character was also awful they didn’t deserve their ending.
Also, Rhi, Lotti, Eurielle and Villette make an appearance and something is not right with Eurielle. Reminds me of Malen from Donna’s Kindred series but we will have to see what’s up with her.
I’m predicting the next book is Marcus who is being tormented by something or someone at Iron Hall. I’m looking forward to it.

This was an entertaining, well-written book. It drew me in right away and kept me reading. It was fascinating, action-packed, steamy and fun. I enjoyed this book and will continue to look for more books by this author.

This was a first book i read in the series and loved that it can be a standalone! I loved the slow burn forbidden love romance so much in this. gave me wanting to turn the page to see when it will just happen! you know!?! I was worked up about the utter treachery and in the manipulation. I wish it was longer and more details on the world building aspect. but overall loved the book!! Will be reading the rest of the series!

✨🔥 Elegantly addicted and sassily devoted 🔥✨
There’s something dangerously addictive about Donna Grant’s Dark Universe. I don’t know if it’s the dragons, the angst, the heartbreak, the smoldering stares—or maybe it’s the literary equivalent of a rich, velvety chocolate that you swear you’ll stop devouring after just one more page. (Spoiler: You won’t.)
In Dragon Forged, Grant once again lures us into Zora—a world as layered as your favorite fantasy cake, and just as tempting. This installment delivers everything we crave and then some: betrayal that bites, a slow-burn romance between Hector and Emilia that aches in all the right places, and a young scene-stealer named Teo, who swoops into the story like a surprise cinnamon roll and absolutely steals your heart.
What elevates this tale is Grant’s mastery of the long game. The Dragon Kings may be in the background this round, but their shadowy presence keeps the flame of the overarching saga alive—reminding us that, no matter how many spin-offs we devour, we’re still wrapped in one grand, cosmic tapestry of fire, fate, and fierce loyalty.
And just when you think you’ve caught your breath? A whisper of Marcus drifts through the final pages like a promise. Or a threat. Either way, color me intrigued, ma’am.
So bravo, Ms. Grant. Once again, you’ve left us both satisfied and starved for more. Now if you’ll excuse me, I have a date with my calendar—and the countdown to the next Dragon King who’ll set it ablaze.
🖤🔥 Forever forged, never finished.

So another amazing read i don't want to give anything away can't wait for the new book to come out I really love that it is magic everywhere so much to find out can't wait gosh don't want to spoil anything about what my brain is thinking lol

This gave me LOTR vibes while maintaining the current genre obsession with dragons - in the best way possible. Slow burn tension romance with blunt straight forward MMC. Magic system was great, and I've already downloaded other titles by Donna Grant because of this storyline.

Dragon Forged tells the story of a heroine burdened by visions of a devastating conflict, convinced she knows the precise path to peace. Her gift, her duty, her very existence are dedicated to preventing the impending catastrophe. But as the captivating blurb promises, what she didn't foresee was him.
The Dragon King, who is a force of nature personified, an untamed surge of dominance and destruction that throws her carefully laid plans into utter chaos. He is everything she shouldn't want—dangerous, possessive, and utterly irresistible.
The chemistry between these two is palpable from the first encounter, a forbidden fire that threatens to consume them both. Grant masterfully builds the tension, exploring the heroine's desperate struggle to maintain her resolve in the face of a searing, undeniable connection that risks not just her own ruin, but the fate of the entire realm.
Overall, this book is perfect for fans of epic fantasy romance, especially those who love a good fated mates trope with an irresistible 'duty vs. desire' conflict.

ohhhh my goddd.
this is the first book i’ve read by this author and was sooo surprised!! i will be reading the others immediately. i loved everything about this and the world busy was so easy to follow but so entertaining and enticing. this book has everything a fantasy lover loves magic system, seers, dragons, and a slow burn romance!

I had the pleasure of reading Dragon Forged by Donna Grant as an ARC, and it delivered exactly what I’ve come to expect from her—smoldering chemistry, rich dragon lore, and fast-paced fantasy romance. One thing I especially loved was how fiercely protective and emotionally layered the hero was; his internal struggle gave real depth to the romance and made the emotional payoff so satisfying. I also appreciated the glimpses of the larger world and mythology that tie into the Dragon Kings universe—it added a nice sense of scale without being overwhelming. That said, I did feel like the pacing faltered a bit in the middle; a few plot beats felt rushed or underdeveloped, and I would’ve loved more buildup before certain key moments. Still, fans of Donna Grant (and dragons in general) will find this a steamy, entertaining, and engaging addition to the series.

A Spellbinding Return to Zora!
"Dragon Forged" is an absolutely thrilling addition to Donna Grant's Dragon Kings series that kept me completely enthralled from start to finish! I actually only jumped into this series about three books ago, but wow, this one really delivers everything I've come to love about Grant's Dark World: powerful dragons, undeniable chemistry, and a plot brimming with twists and turns. I even both read and listened to the audiobook, which was such a treat!
Hector, the Sea Green Dragon King, is as formidable as he is captivating, and his wild journey to Highvale introduces us to a mesmerizing new corner of Zora. Emilia, the seer haunted by visions, is such a compelling heroine whose strength and determination really shine through every challenge. Their slow-burn romance is simply beautiful, built on trust and a fierce connection that practically jumps off the page. And can we talk about Antony Ferguson's narration? Seriously, he brings these characters to life with such depth and emotion. It made the experience even more immersive!
And seriously, let's not forget the delightful addition of young Teo, who utterly steals your heart! His presence adds a wonderful layer of found family to an already rich narrative. Grant's world-building is, as always, top-notch, making Highvale feel vibrant and dangerously alive. Even if you're reading it as a standalone (though you really should read the others!), "Dragon Forged" is incredibly immersive, but fans of the series will totally revel in the familiar faces and intriguing new mysteries.
This story is a powerhouse of magic, betrayal, and unwavering love. It's a testament to Donna Grant's storytelling prowess that she keeps crafting such unforgettable adventures. I literally devoured this book in one sitting (and listened to it just as quickly!) and am already super excited for what comes next for the Dragon Kings!

Disclaimer: I received an advance readers copy from the publisher. I voluntarily agreed to do an honest, fair, review and blog through netgalley. All words, thoughts and ideas are my own.

This is a thrilling, emotional ride that blends magic, romance, and suspense perfectly. I was instantly drawn into Hector and Emilia’s story. He’s a mighty Dragon King, and she’s a seer trying to prevent a vision of war. Their chemistry is intense, but what hooked me was the emotional depth and high stakes. I loved how Emilia grows into a strong, fearless leader, and Hector’s protectiveness is both fierce and touching. The world of Zora is vivid and full of mystery, especially the intriguing land of Highvale. Side characters like Teo added extra charm. Donna Grant’s storytelling is addictive. I couldn’t put it down. If you love dragon shifters and high-stakes fantasy, this book is a must-read.

Dragon Forged is book 10 in the series. Each book is about different characters and there story. You dont need to read them in order but should.

Thank you to NetGalley and the publishers for providing an eARC copy of this book in exchange for my review.
A Surprisingly Addictive Read — Now I Need the Whole Series!
I wasn’t expecting to enjoy this book as much as I did, but it completely drew me in. From the very first chapters, I found myself quickly and deeply invested in the characters and their storylines. The writing is engaging and the pacing is spot-on.
What I didn’t realize when I picked this one up is that this is actually the tenth book in a series. But to the author's credit, I never felt lost or out of place. The world and characters are so well-developed that I was able to jump right in and still feel connected. Now that I know there are nine previous books, I’m excited to go back and read the earlier installments.
There’s also a new book in the series coming out soon, and I’m can't wait to continue following these characters. If you're a fan of character-driven fiction with heart, depth, and just the right amount of drama or intrigue (depending on the genre), I highly recommend giving this one a try — even if you're new to the series like I was.

4.5✨ omg this book was soo good!! 😍
Emilia is a seer, after seeing the war that will tear our realm apart by a dragon she's steps up to ensures that doesn't happen.
The dragon king is dangerous and possessive he's everything Emilia shouldn't want.Yet she's can't help but get closer.
Highly recommend this book it was brilliant!! 🥰
Will definitely be reading more of Donna Grant books!!
Thank you NetGalley for allowing me to read this book

Donna Grant has done it again. Dragon Forged starts with a bang. It brings us the story of Emilia and Hector, a seer and a dragon king. It was engaging with an early twist that drew me in. As the book continued, the surprises kept coming, and I was there for it to the end. It got better and better with an unexpected twist to conclude what I consider an engaging read.
The story is not only a continuation of the Dragon King Series, but the storyline is so different that it stands out from the rest. I love it.
As with all the books I have read in this series, there were just enough unanswered questions to make me want to reach for the next. However, this did not end with a cliffhanger. It can be read as a standalone book.

This is a voluntary review of an advanced copy.
Wow, there were so many twists and turns and secrets revealed that kept this book so hard to put down! Just when you think you know what is going on, surprise - there is a new twist and what you thought is not right!
Emilia, a seer, is trying to save their world from destruction and it all involves one of the dragon kings. So, when Hector appears on Emilia's island, she is quick to divert him to save everyone. At least her vision of the future shows the world in flames with dragons leading into the battle.
Hector is not one to be turned away so he goes back to the island and finds that Emilia had a good reason to keep any dragon kings away. So, their story starts with how to save not only Hector, the island, but the world.
It is so good and filled with drama, intrigue, betrayal, and grown romance between Emilia and Hector.
Sorry, no spoilers! Love this series of books about the Dragon Kings and the battle continues.

Donna Grant definitely has a knack for writing such a tremendous, lush world full of supernatural wonder and magic. Not to mention the characters, who progressively get better and better the further the story moves along. Every time I think I can't fall more in love with a character, the author proves me wrong. They are relatable and raw and not afraid to speak their minds when in the face of danger. Especially the heroines. Let's not forget the romance as well, which will have you swooning and kicking your feet up in the air across every page. I cannot recommend this author enough for those of you who are fans of fantasy romances that are equally nostalgic and stand on their own.

A wonderful read!
This novel drew me in from the very first page and kept me hooked until the end. The characters were vibrant and relatable, the writing was engaging, and the story had just the right balance of heart and humor. Highly recommend!
Many thanks to NetGalley, the author, and the publisher for my ARC. All opinions are my own.

This story is about a seer named Emilia and Dragon King of the sea green dragons Hector. This story had me guessing until the end. I loved that it had romance and a story behind it. I would definitely recommend to read in order. Dropping in at the 10th book was a lil difficult to follow. But that’s on me.and not the author. 5 out of 5

I went into this book completely blind. I saw ‘dragon kings’ in the blurb on NetGalley and I was like “yes, please!” This is the first book I have read by Donna Grant. Each book in the Dragon King series is interconnected yet can be read as a standalone and each book follows a different Dragon King.
This story follows Hector, King of Sea Greens, and Emilia, a powerful Seer. This book is brimming with tension, deep bonds, and hard choices. There is a great balance between romance and intriguing plot. The found family trope is beautifully portrayed with characters like Theo and Rhi becoming as important to the reader as the main characters. This element adds depth and emotional resonance to the story, making it even more compelling.

🔥🔥🔥 A Scorching Tale of Forbidden Desire and Unstoppable Destiny
Dragon Forged is a masterful blend of passion, power, and prophecy that had me hooked from the first page. Donna Grant delivers a story that is as intense as it is captivating, weaving a narrative filled with danger, desire, and destiny.
🔥 Characters That Ignite the Page
Emilia, a seer burdened with the knowledge of a looming war, is a character of depth and resilience. Her journey is one of self-discovery and sacrifice, and her connection with Hector is electric. Hector, with his raw strength and unwavering loyalty, is the perfect counterpart to Emilia. Their chemistry is palpable, and their slow-burn romance is both heart-wrenching and exhilarating.
🔥 World-Building That Envelops You
Grant's world-building is nothing short of spectacular. The realm she has created is rich with history, magic, and intrigue. The stakes are high, and the tension is ever-present. Every page is infused with a sense of urgency and anticipation, making it impossible to put the book down.
🔥 A Plot That Keeps You Guessing
The twists and turns in the storyline kept me on the edge of my seat. Just when I thought I had it figured out, Grant threw in a curveball that left me reeling. The pacing is perfect, with each chapter building upon the last, leading to a climax that is both satisfying and thought-provoking.
🔥Romance That Burns Bright
The romance in Dragon Forged is slow-burning but incredibly intense. The push-pull dynamic, moments of vulnerability, and sizzling passion between Emilia and Hector kept me completely invested. The emotional depth of their relationship — how they support, challenge, and heal each other — elevated this beyond a typical paranormal romance. Their love feels hard-won and real.
Dragon Forged is an exceptional read that combines all the elements I crave in paranormal romance and fantasy: compelling characters, an imaginative world, a gripping plot, and a love story that takes your breath away. Donna Grant has crafted a tale that stays with you long after you finish, making me eager to dive into the rest of the series.
If you love dragons, magic, and romances that scorch the pages with passion and heart, this book is absolutely for you!

Another great book by Donna Grant! This book is a captivating tale which a heartfelt back story and traumatic history

Are you new here? If you are, please go back at least to book 1 of this series, but maybe all the way to the start of this universe (or set of universes?). This world is rich, filled with lots and lots of characters and baggage we have collected along the way, and you appreciate it so much more when you’ve been along for the ride as long as I have.
Somehow, we are still finding new places on this world, and that includes some secret island now. Hector gets sucked onto it when he breaks the cardinal rule - he touches the flashing thing. Emilia, who has had a vision of his arrival (and the ramifications) tries to get him off the island, but he is a stubborn dragon. This island, though, appears to worship dragons so when he returns and accidentally binds him to the island, they seem to have won a victory of sorts. It all gets worse from there. You can’t really expect to control a dragon and not have things go horribly wrong.
There’s a lot of betrayal baked in here, but what I really enjoyed was the love story here including the introduction of a pseudo-son character. Each of these dragon king books is so unique that I could keep reading oodles and not get bored. This one in particular sets up some good future ones - and as long as we have unmated kings, we have to keep going, right?

Thank you to Donna Grant and NetGalley for this ARC. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
I am familiar with Donna Grant's Dragon King series, but I haven't read that last several books, so I was worried that jumping back into the world would feel jarring, but it was very easy to follow the story with its fast-moving plot without getting lost or having to go back and read the books I missed. Reading Dragon Forged was nostalgic and reminded me of why I originally fell in love with this series. Despite how many books there are in this series, Donna Grant still has such a way of bringing the magic of the world to life and giving each character their own stories. I really enjoyed this latest installment and its characters, and I look forward to catching up with the books I missed as well as future books.
