Description
A prophecy older than time. A priestess bound by flame. A world on the edge of forgetting.
Ríona was chosen by the gods. Forged in flame. Raised to walk between the living and the dead.
Now the gods are fading. The world is unraveling. And something ancient has begun to stir in the hollow places between.
When Ríona, High Priestess of the Morrígan, is called to retrieve the Heartstone of Danu, she must journey beyond the veil of this world. Her path winds through lost rites, haunted lands, and ancestral truths etched into her own blood. But the deeper she walks into the Otherworld, the louder the silence becomes.
And the crow is calling.
A Tale of Myth, Memory, and Sacred Power
Set in a mythic reimagining of ancient Ireland, Echoes of the Otherworld is a story of divine legacy, spiritual reckoning, and the cost of remembrance. Guided by prophecy and song-magic, Ríona cannot walk the spiral path alone.
At her side are a blind poet, a silent warrior, and an ancestral spirit who remembers what the world wants to forget. Together, they must face the breaking of the old ways—and decide what must be carried forward.
Perfect for readers who love:
- Lyrical prose and immersive mythic worldbuilding
- Celtic deities, rituals, and ancient prophecy
- Themes of fate, memory, and sacred feminine power
- Series like The Mists of Avalon, Circe, or The Priory of the Orange Tree
The crow is calling. The flame is waiting. And the Otherworld remembers.

This is a very exciting tale about Irish history and mythology. When i started this book I knew from the start that I was going to enjoy it very much. I thought that it was lovely and the characters were very drawn out.
I received an arc copy from Netgalley and all opinions are of my own.

The writer uses Irish folklore, and ancient history to create Riona’s mystical journey. Beautiful written and you fall in love with Riona’s courage and determination. Can’t wait for book 2 in this series!

A beautiful tale of Irish history, mythology and folklore.
The imagery in this book is absolutely stunning. What struck me the most was how Quill managed to communicate so much of Riona as a character in very few words.

I’ve got a master’s degree in history, and one of my favorite classes was the History of Ireland, so I was very excited to dive head first into this book. It did not disappoint! The characters felt real, developed and it is clear thought was put into them. The descriptions and imagery made me feel like I was traveling through the green lands of Ireland!
Riona (awesome name!) and her abilities left me feeling like I shared the same powers. Unraveling history lost to time? Fantastic.
RECOMMEND!!

⭐⭐⭐⭐
Echoes of the Otherworld completely swept me away with its lyrical writing and deeply rooted mythic atmosphere.
Very delicate in writing style and appropriately paced - very poetic
it was very steeped in ancient Irish mythology yet grounded in deep emotional truth.

The character development was very detailed and made my soul fly to the ends of the earth
I enjoyed this read very much as it is not something i would read so i am very surprised of finishing it and loving the story so far!

Echoes of the Otherworld is a beautifully written tale that pulls you into its world. It drags you along for a whimsical and poetic ride.

This book was amazing and unique to the genre - love that it took place in historical Ireland (unusual to come across). Delicate in writing style and appropriately paced - very poetic and creates a clear image in your head. I look forward to continuing this series

Beautifully written, quite surreal at times, I’d recommend if you like quite a dreamy experience in a book.
I thought the songs were suggested songs and looked them up on a music app, I found them very fitting until I realised they were actually written songs at the end. Probably easier to see in a physical book as you flick through it. Although the veilIbound song I found is now on hard repeat as is the album I thought I’d found it in so all is well and the sleep deep volume 5 album suits the book.
I do think this is the sort of book you read a chapter before you go to sleep and dream of. The narrative meandered and at times felt repetitive. I wasn’t always sure what was happening but that not a criticism of the book. It felt like a dream, you don’t question it you experience it. It was a very different reading experience to any other book I’ve ever read and felt very poetical.
Thank you to NetGalley for providing this ARC for my consideration this is all my own rambling, honest and personal opinions.
