Description

From USA Today bestselling author Alexandra Vasti comes The Halifax Hellions: a pair of sexy, hilarious romps in which the most scandalous ladies in London finally meet their match.

From the day of their debut, when Matilda smoked a cheroot and Margo tied a cherry stem in a knot with her tongue, the Halifax twins have flouted convention at every turn. But when Matilda runs off with the dangerous Marquess of Ashford—who has every reason to hate her—she may have gone a bit too far.

Determined to stop Matilda’s inexplicable elopement, her sister Margo turns to her oldest friend for help: because if anyone can get her to Scotland in time, it’s starchy solicitor Henry Mortimer. But the road to Scotland is paved with secrets. Beneath his buttoned-up exterior, Henry is ardently, wildly, miserably in love with Margo. And Matilda and Ashford’s relationship too may not be quite what it seems.

Between salacious engravings, secret identities, and demanding feral cats, nothing about the journey goes as planned. With the Halifax Hellions at the reins, a week in a carriage is exactly enough time to turn the world upside down . . . and, perhaps, find the love stories they never expected.

For the first time ever in print, The Halifax Hellions brings together Margo and Matilda’s novellas, along with a swoony new epilogue.

Hilarious, heartfelt, and deliciously spicy historical romance with chaotic twin energy

This book was so much fun. A delightful, dual-novella-style historical romance that follows twin sisters in overlapping storylines—each navigating love, scandal, and just the right amount of chaos.

The first half gives us the impulsive, meddling twin who sets off to “save” her sister from an assumed disastrous marriage, dragging her long-suffering childhood friend (and secret admirer of 8 years) along for the ride. What follows is pure Regency hijinks: elopement, carriage rides, ridiculous assumptions, and a whole lot of pining. It’s fast-paced and full of charm.

The second half slows down into something surprisingly tender and kinky. The quiet, artistic sister with a scandalous side meets her match in a brooding “killer” (read: misunderstood, emotionally repressed protector type) with a dead wife, a protective streak, and very specific… tastes. Their Dom/sub dynamic is handled so well—equal parts sweet and sizzling—and their emotional arc was really satisfying.

Underneath the banter and spice, the story weaves in a strong theme of love in all forms—romantic, familial, and self-love. This was a standout historical romance for me. Vasti balances humor and heat with heart and depth, and I’ll definitely be reading more from her.

The Halifax Hellions by @alexandravasti

What an absolute delight this book was to read! I adore Margo and Matilda and their journeys of self discovery and love. This is the perfect read if you are looking for a regency time romance but with a more modern twist and lots of spice! It was a very fun time! I highly recommend. BRB going to binge her entire backlist.

Thank you to @netgalley and @stmartinspress for the arc!

I absolutely loved these two novellas following our dastardly Halifax Hellions. Both Margo & Matilda's romances were so FUNNY, SWEET and STEAMY, and I giggled and kicked my feet the entire time I was reading them. In such a short amount of time, Alexandra Vasti had me loving all four main characters immensely. Each character was unique, well established, and I know I already said this but: FUNNY. The witty banter is fantastic, and makes for the perfect quick regency ROMP.

Amazing! Hilarious! So hot!

Halifax Hellions includes 2 novellas with characters from Alexandra Vasti's Belvoir's Library series. They're available now in audio, but this brand new print version is out 2.17.26.

Both of these novellas were SO GREAT!! I recommend reading these if you want to try historical romance, want to get out of a slump, or are looking for a fun time!

You don't have to read any of the full series before, but I definitely went back to start it after!!

Thanks to @stmartinspress for an e-ARC.

Well, that was an absolute delight! I devoured this book within a few hours. Loved getting to see both Margo and Matilda’s stories and seeing the places where they intertwined. The epilogue was lovely and helped tie up some loose threads in good ways. The spice level was off the charts (in the best way!). “Halifax Hellions” was such a fun read. No notes - just fun! :)

Thank you to St. Martin’s Press and NetGalley for the advanced copy! :) I’ll be posting my review to Goodreads closer to the pub date.
