A Pace of Grace by Heather Cook was one of those books that arrived at exactly the right time for me.
As someone who often finds herself trying to keep up with the demands of life, work, family, church, and all the things in between, this book felt like a gentle invitation from God to slow down and breathe. Rather than adding another list of things to do, it reminded me that I am invited to live from a place of grace, not striving.
What impacted me most was the way Heather challenged the culture of busyness without making me feel guilty. Instead, she lovingly pointed me back to God's heart and the freedom that comes from trusting His pace rather than my own expectations. As I read, I found myself reflecting on how often I rush ahead, trying to control outcomes, when God is simply asking me to walk with Him one faithful step at a time.
This book wasn't just informative—it was transformative. It encouraged me to embrace a more intentional rhythm, to be present in the season God has me in, and to trust that His grace is sufficient for every day. For me, it was more than a book; it was a timely reminder that I don't have to earn my worth through productivity because my identity is already secure in Christ.
What I loved: How gentle, practical, and deeply encouraging it was. It felt like a conversation with a trusted friend who kept pointing me back to Jesus.
What it stirred: A desire to slow down, release the pressure I place on myself, and embrace the grace God offers for this season.
Who it's for: Anyone who feels stretched thin, overwhelmed by life's pace, or longing to live with more peace, purpose, and presence.
