Description

A brand new novel from the Number 1 best-selling author, Robert Bryndza

Natalie Love has worked hard to have it all: she runs a successful theatre in Soho that’s about to host one of Hollywood’s leading stars. Her biggest supporter is her eccentric Hungarian Gran, and she even has the ‘perfect’ yoga teacher boyfriend – Namaste!

Life in the bright lights of London has always been Natalie’s escape from her chaotic country family in rural Devon and Jamie, the childhood sweetheart she left at the altar 15 years ago. And then he turns up at her theatre door…

With rivalry clouding old feelings, events in Soho bring Jamie and Natalie together in hilarious ways. Gran is loose in the city once more, it seems to be raining sandwiches and records are broken for Burlesque flash mobs. If she can keep her world together, will Natalie discover who is really Mr Right, and that perhaps she isn’t Miss Wrong?

A delightful new romantic comedy, from the author of the best-selling Coco Pinchard series.

When he's not writing Rob is learning Slovak, trying to train two crazy dogs, or watching Grand Designs - all in the hope that he'll be able to understand his mother-in-law, build his dream house, and get the dogs to listen.

Funny, romantic and surprising. I read the whole thing in one sitting!

This was a very adorable little book, I admit I enjoyed it. It’s my first touch with Robert Bryndza‘s work, but as I see, his Coco Pinchard series seems to be quite the hit, so I’m considering getting my hands on the first book.

Overall, this is you typical British love comedy. I’ve already written about it months ago, but British comedies just have a different feeling about them. As you can probably guess, we have a female main character who has issues in her love life, she is trying to keep it together but she is constantly thrown into funny and ridiculous situations which she barely gets out of and usually almost cost her her friends, her career and/or the guy she’s after. I could apply this formula to absolutely every book of this genre that I’ve read and it wouldn’t be wrong.

That doesn’t mean that the book isn’t enjoyable, though. It’s a perfect light summer book with some very comical situations in it.

The thing which I sort of didn’t like was that, despite everything, I had a hard time finding the soul of the book. The main character was not as likable as I would have hoped and the guy that ultimately won her wasn’t the one I would have expected and it didn’t seem entirely believable.

But there was an awesome grandmother, Anouska, to make up for everything you might not like in the book. She was an absolute blast. I laughed the hardest at her scenes. I wouldn’t say that I’m as adventurous or as free as she is, but her humour certainly reminded me of my own.

If you want to chill during the hot summer days, this book is a great choice!

I absolutely love the Coco Pinchard books which Robert Bryndza has written so was really looking forward to reading his latest offering. Could it match up to the fun and feel-good Coco books? Well, I'm delighted to say that the answer is a resounding yes! I started reading this on a particularly busy weekend and was really annoyed that I kept having to set it aside. I just love Robert Bryndza's writing. He creates great characters and the funniest situations which could well have you laughing aloud!

Nineteen year old Natalie Love left her fiancee at the altar and burnt her wedding dress for good measure fifteeen years ago. Now a successful theatre manager in London, with a yoga loving boyfriend Benji, she seems to have her life sorted. She has managed to hire a gorgeous American tv star to play the lead role in MacBeth (even though he seems to think he's playing Hamish MacBeth!) and the full run is sold out. But then her ex, Jamie, buys the building opposite with a view to turning it into a burlesque venue with his new girlfriend Tuppence Halfpenny.

Miss Wrong and Mr Right is just one of those books that you want to keep on reading and not put down. There are some classic comedy moments such as the Burlesque flash mob which is interrupted by sandwiches and pigeons. Now I know that sounds unlikely but just read it and you'll see what I mean!

Robert Bryndza has created some great characters too. Natalie is someone you will warm to and be cheering on from the start. Her Hungarian granny Anoushka is just a hoot! Natalie's friend Sharon is just lovely with her chaotic family which Natalie loves and envies in equal measure. Benji, the yoga teacher, provides some really funny moments (Facebook and Twitter revenge!) and is so self-obsessed that you wonder what Natalie sees in him.

For all its humour, there is a lot of emotion in this book too. It's not just laugh-out-loud moments all the way, although there are plenty of those. I felt that these were totally believable characters who I'd love to read more about and many of the funny situations could actually happen. And of course, there is romance as Natalie begins to think that perhaps she isn't Miss Wrong (her granny did keep telling her this!) and that perhaps there is a Mr Right out there for her. The question is, which of the leading men in this story will it be?
