Sweet Jesus what is it with the men in this series that just makes them ooze sex, “don’t worry , you’ll be well fed,” he said, a low, teasing innuendo in his voice." I'm seriously amazed at the stamina and self restraint these boys have when around their women, "a naughty smirk curved his mouth. “It’s going to help keep my ***k under control around you. What we just did took the edge off so I can concentrate on what’s next.” I liked that he wanted to activities with his girl, “you know, dinner at a restaurant, a movie, coming back to your place and making out like horny teenagers on the couch like we did last Saturday at my place?” I love this series the women are feisty and the men are sexy.

I love Erika Wilde’s series The Player’s Club! They are hot hot hot! The characters feel like they could be friends of mine and lets face it – the men are Hot Hot Hot!

This particular novel, Playing with Pleasure was with Paige and Sawyer as the main characters. The other characters were ones that we have met before in the previous books. In the past, Paige and Sawyer were a couple, however fate intervened {in the disguise of an evil step-sister} and they broke up.

Paige just received an invitation to the Player’s Club, the hottest sex club in town. She goes with every intention of having a hot time, but whom should she run into but her ex and then things get really hot! I love how Sawyer sees Paige’s beauty, even though she is not size two. I love how Paige creates beautiful corsets and is able to make and run a business with her creations.

A HOT read from Erika Wilde and the Player’s Club...

I wonder if my invitation is in the mail?

Well that was hot ...

I really enjoyed book one in this series so I was excited to get book two. Sawyer and Paige's past had been touched upon briefly in book one and from then on I wanted to know what happened between them and how their relationship would play out.

Erika Wilde definitely didn't disappoint either. Sawyer and Paige's romance was hot, steamy, and filled with plenty of passion and chemistry. I liked the intensity between the couple, and of course Sawyer's dominant side was an added bonus that sent the heat level sky rocketing. His need to be in control was swoon-worthy, but the way he made Paige feel secure and sexy in her own skin gave him an admirable and loveable quality too. I believed in his emotions and desire to win her back.

Similarly, I liked how Paige grew more confident in herself, especially around Ashley. Her growth was believable and I'm glad she found that confidence.

With regards to the story, it held my attention brilliantly. Things moved at a great pace, it was intriguing, and kept me hooked. The plot was simple, and at times predictable, but it was an easy read with plenty of spark.

Overall it was a great continuation and I'm eagerly looking forward to Kendall's story in book 3.

I love it when I get totally sucked into a book and have a difficult time putting it down when real life beckons and I was totally sucked into this one. Playing with Pleasure had it all for me. It was a fun, second chance at love story filled with a good mix of sweet and very sexy moments, the right amount of drama to keep things interesting and well written characters that I’d love to have as friends.

I adored Paige and Sawyer. Paige is sweet, fun and has a quiet confidence that shines through when others do their best to put her down. She also has a generous nature which at times may make her seem like a pushover, but she really isn’t. She simply chooses to not deal with the bullshit and focus on the good things that are going on in her life. Sawyer is sexy as hell, dominant in all the right way and forthright. I honestly thought I’d have issues with him considering what had happened with Paige, but that never happened and in the end I really wouldn’t mind having a Sawyer of my own.

Then there is Paige and Sawyer together. They were pretty damn smexy and I was definitely not expecting what happened at The Players Club to happen, but can’t complain. They definitely had chemistry together and you could tell that they genuinely liked each other. But what I loved the most is how they finally dealt with the ‘unfortunate incident’ because they approached it like adults. Sawyer manned up and admitted to it, though there was a little twist in there and there was a bit of hesitation on Paige’s part, but she didn’t drag it out or blow it out of proportion.

The Bottom Line: If you’re looking for a fun, quick, well written second chance at love story this one is for you!

I loved this book. Paige, a curvy woman, has been hurt in the past by her stepsister and boyfriend. 18 months later she learns that her stepsister set them up. This is a great story about second chances. Throw in just a little bdsm and it got a little better.

I really enjoyed Paige and Sawyer's story

Their relationship was derailed but the pair were able to get back on track.

Paige is one determined woman. She lost both parents, had to deal with a nasty step sister but through it all she built a business and found friends that stood by her.

Sawyer had to give up Paige for a bit was anxious to win her back. He knew exactly how to woo her back into his life.

One of my favorite things about the characters is that they were able to talk about what tore them apart. Paige didn't hold a grudge with Sawyer. While she was hurt she didn't put him through all the drama and angst that some books are riddled with

Paige is feeling insecure after being badly hurt by Sawyer, her boyfriend at the time. 1 1/2 later they meet again. And the romance with super sexy heat, starts up again. Sawyer is doing all he can to show Paige he can be trusted.
I absolutely loved this book, definitely a 5 star rating...it's sexy, it's romantic, it has a great storyline and we see a little into the future, meeting who might me the next stars in a book HIGHLY recommended reading

I absolutely LOVED Playing with Pleasure by Erika Wilde. I received an ARC and read it in less than a day. There wasn't a single thing that I didn't like about this story. Paige and Sawyer had a complicated past, but they were able to get through it and ended up stronger for it. This book was hot and very real because of all the emotions. I found myself laughing out loud at times and falling for Sawyer myself at others. Paige and Sawyer made an amazing couple and I will definitely be reading their story more than once. This book gets 5 stars and I can't wait for the next book in this series!!!!

After finishing Playing with Temptation, I was excited to dive into the next book in The Players Club series. While I didn't love Paige and Sawyer quite as much as Raina and Logan, they were still pretty fab. The pair of them have a lot more issues to work out, given their past, and seeing how it would pan out turned into quite the ride.

I was not quite sure how this one would work for me. Cheating is a bit no for me, yet after book 1, I was so intrigued. I gave it a go regardless. Soon after I started, I found some answers that settled me. With that aside, I was focused solely on Sawyer and Paige and their once again budding romance.

One of the highlights of the book? There are some cameos from Raina and Logan of Playing with Temptation, and this was super awesome as I think they both rock.

It was very light on the BDSM elements that I thought would be a bigger element of Playing with Pleasure. While they creep in more towards the middle to end of the novel, I wanted there to be more of it.

I am intrigued to see who book 3 will feature, and I sure cannot wait to read it. I am hooked on this series and Erika Wilde's books as well.

Paige has a busy life and even though she has been in a funk for the past year and half since the betrayal of her boyfriend, Sawyer, her friend think she needs a night out of pleasure and gives her an invitation to a sex club. She goes, dressed in one of her couture corsets, mini skirt, and high heels and she runs into Sawyer. He has never forgotten her or been able to figure out the events of that night because he blacked out. He seduces her and even though she sets boundaries of not removing her corset and no kissing, there is still a connection between them neither can deny. What unfolds is a story of forgiveness, hot and kinky sex, and an awakening of a beautiful woman. ...and don't forget the mean-girl step-sister who had a hand in the betrayal. Great book and definite recommendation!

Playing with Pleasure was a new experience for me. I don't normally read Erika Wilde, but have read Janelle Denison. This read was a pleasant surprise for me. Ms. Wilde can bring the heat. Some areas were so steamy that I could feel the burn. Yet others were so sweet and emotional that I was mesmerized. Having been hurt before Paige lost confidence but Sawyer was determined to give it back to her. Very sexy story full of unexpected emotion. Received an ARC for an honest review.

Playing with Pleasure is the second book in Erika Wilde's The Players Club series and can be read as a standalone novel.

Paige Moore is a couture corset designer with her own business. She is insecure about her curvy figure due to years of bullying at the hands of her stepsister. Sawyer Burrows is ex-military and currently works security. Paige and Sawyer dated for six weeks but Sawyer betrayed her in the worst possible way right before being deployed with the military. Eighteen months later, Sawyer has returned and is determined to prove to Paige that he is trustworthy and that there was more to that fateful night than first appeared.

Sawyer is given a chance to reconnect with Paige when she is given an invitation by her friend Raina to the Players Club that Sawyer is a member of. Sawyer approaches Paige at the club and they have a very steamy encounter that proves that the heat between them has not lessened despite their time apart. Sawyer will not let Paige deny the feelings they have for each other, he has thought about her every day since their relationship ended and will do whatever it takes to rebuild Paige's trust in him.

I was slightly concerned about the cheating aspect of the story, but once the truth was revealed, I can see why Paige would give Sawyer another chance.

Playing with Pleasure is a sexy read with likeable characters and Paige and Sawyer work great together as a couple. Wilde once again excels at delivering an erotic read with genuine emotions and sweet and loving romance.

I would definitely recommend Playing with Pleasure and eagerly await the next book in the series.

4.5 STARS!!!!

This book made me cheer out loud! It was absolutely awesome! It's so nice to see a curvy girl not only get the guy of her dreams but make all of her career dreams come true - despite being bullied and tortured by someone that she felt she could trust.

We got a taste of Sawyer and Paige in Raina and Logan's book. We know that Sawyer ripped Paige's heart to shreds by cheating on her. But now we get the whole story and all is not what it seems. Paige is determined to not let this man hurt her again but Sawyer won't stop unil she's back where she belongs - with him! One naughty night at the Player's Club is just the beginning for this steamy duo.

I was so not planning to like Sawyer as much as I came to. He's amazing, so sexy and so perfect for Paige. He's so proud of her for hard work to get her business off the ground. He would do anything to get her back. He doesn't care that she's curvy. He thinks she beautiful and definitely wants her back in his bed. What a fighter!

Paige has her insecurities and they are all tied up in her weight - and her trouble making witch (I'm being nice) of a stepsister Ashley (oh, how I hated this spoiled brat!). Why would Sawyer want her when he could have any size two model in the world. Oh Paige... you made my heart break! But at the same time she made me so proud! Again, what a fighter!

This was just a fantastic read! Loved it from beginning to end! Great job, Erika... can't wait for Jase and Kendall!

I have to say I loved this book. It is the story of Paige, a beautiful woman both inside and out. Paige doesn't see her outer beauty due to the fact that she grew up with a gorgeous step-sister, Ashley, whose only beauty was on the outside. She grew up with constant ridicule and just plain meanness. Sawyer is a sexy, gorgeous guy that Paige meets while performing her morning pay it forward tradition. They date for months and they both fall hard for the other but neither tells the other how they really feel. Paige is afraid to reveal her feelings to Sawyer because she just can't quite believe that he really likes her and Sawyer keeps his feelings to himself because he doesn't think Paige will believe he has fallen in love with her so quickly. Paige's 26th birthday party rolls around and something happens and at the time is seems truly unforgivable. Paige ends their relationship and she tries to move on with her life. Fast forward a year and a half later and they meet again. The feelings they both still feel come to the surface but Paige's hurt and mistrust run deep and Sawyer knows she isn't ready to love him again....but he desperately needs to talk to her about the night that ended their relationship. There is more to this story than I have recapped here and you'll need to read the book find out the details and the rest of the story. Just know that this is an emotional read as Paige works through some issues in her life and note that you are going to feel very angry with her sister. Sawyer is a truly good guy who want nothing more than to have Paige in his life. This is a great second chance romance and I highly recommend it.

I needed a quick, sexy read, one I could pick up late at night and just enjoy. I chose Playing With Pleasure because I figured it would fit the bill. And it did!! *fans self*

Paige Moore was burned in the worst way by Sawyer Burrows, and in the year and a half since, she's not found a man she can trust, or one that can help alleviate the pain. When her best friend gives her an invitation to The Players Club, it's her opportunity to have one, hot night with someone new and attempt to move on.

But when Sawyer sees Paige at the club, looking for something he knows he can give her, he becomes determined to be the man to do so. And not only that, Sawyer plans to earn Paige’s forgiveness, and win her back, once and for all. This time, he's playing for keeps.

This was a super fun, very sexy book. I read it in one sitting (actually, one lying down, since I was in bed…the best place to enjoy Sawyer Burrows, if you know what I mean *wink*), and didn't even consider putting it down. I really enjoyed the chemistry between Sawyer and Paige. He was caring, kind and deliciously dominant, and even I wanted to forgive him for his past transgressions after about two seconds. I mean, the sex… Whew, these two were just sizzling together, and I admit I am utterly fascinated by Sawyer and his ropes.

There's not a lot going on here, in terms of heart-breaking angst or over-the-top emotion. Playing With Pleasure builds easily, to a very neat, good-for-the-story ending, and plants the seed for the next book in this series. I've enjoyed all the characters from The Players Club series, and the original series, The Marriage Diaries, and I always look forward to more from this author. I know that next time I'm in need (of a fun, hot, quickie), I can count on Erika Wilde to give it to me. I'm excited for Jase and Kendall’s story! ~ 4 stars

Playing With Pleasure is the second in The Players Club, a series which is connected to Erika's earlier series The Marriage Diaries. In book 1 Playing With Temptation, the story for Raina and Logan, the reader gets a glimpse into the prior hurt and heartbreak between Paige Moore and Sawyer Burrows. The story for Sawyer and Paige soon reconnects them through an intense physical and erotic session when they cross paths at the Club. Paige tries to deny the emotional impact of what has happened, while Sawyer is determined to being back in her life. Phoebe is working hard to advance a haute couture career and there is added unpleasant family drama from her stepsister Ashley.

I have enjoyed Erika Wilde's writing since she published many stories under a different name with Harlequin. Erika's stories have a strongly elevated sexiness and sensuality, while an evident caring and romantic tone to the main characters' interactions is something I expect from this author. The character development in Sawyer and Phoebe is done well for a shorter novel. This couple behaves with maturity, patience and reason, and seek open honest communication to move on from painful memories. The bond and trust between Sawyer and Phoebe strengthens as each grow beyond personal insecurities towards a loving and passionate commitment to the other.

I would recommend starting with the related stories for a full sense of all the personalities and connections between the main couples and their friends and colleagues. Book 3 Playing With Seduction is next. I am looking forward to this continuation of the series.

Title: Playing with Pleasure Series: Players Club Book #2 Author: Erika Wilde Genre: Romance/Erotica Blurb: PLEASURE HAS NEVER BEEN SO DECADENT . . .

Thoughts: If you haven’t read in of the books in this series before, I would describe it as ‘mild erotica’. The style reminds me a bit of a Roni Loren only much more toned down. A few pages in, I almost put it down though – I was sure that there was no way Sawyer was going to redeem himself and get back in my good graces, much less have Paige forgive him! Surprisingly, the author managed to swing it in such a way that you actually wind up feeling sorry for the guy. I’m not sure that I would wind up with him in a sex club quite as quickly as Paige, especially without hearing what really happened with the whole past situation that broke them up in the first place. To be honest, I was expecting for her to unknowingly wind up with him in the club…and (gasp) find out that the guy she just indulged in such sensual pleasure with was her ex! Whether it be a mask, a dark room that shadows his face…I don’t know, something! Alas, it doesn’t quite work that way. However, the author puts her own spin on it and makes it work.
All in all, a very good read…☺

The story begins and we meet Paige. I instantly like her and the people that she surrounds herself with. She smart, funny, strong and confident. Then there's Sawyer. Her ex from 15 months ago. At first I hated him. Really hated him, but that's easy to do when you don't have all the facts. Let's just say that this story will keep you guessing. I read it in less than 24 hours, couldn't wait to see what would happen next. This is the first book I have read in this series, I will go back and read the first and be in line for the next! Well written characters and a great story line.

PLAYING WITH PLEASURE is the second installment in Erika Wilde’s adult, contemporary The Player’s Club erotic romance series. The Player’s Club is an exclusive members-only sex club. This is former Marine and private security agent Sawyer Burrows, and fashion designer Paige Moore’s storyline. We were first introduced to Sawyer and Paige in book one-PLAYING WITH TEMPTATION. Playing with Pleasure can be read as a stand alone but for some backstory I recommend reading in order. THE PLAYERS CLUB is a spinoff from Erika’s erotic romance THE MARRIAGE DIARIES series.

Told from alternating third person perspectives PLAYING WITH PLEASURE is a second chance storyline for Paige and Sawyer. Eighteen months earlier, on Paige’s twenty sixth birthday, Paige watched Sawyer walk out of her step-sister’s bedroom looking sexed up and guilty. Kissing her relationship with Sawyer goodbye, as well as her family home where she no longer felt welcome or safe, Paige walked away in the hopes of starting a new life with her Couture Corset business. Fast forward a year and a half, and a still brokenhearted Paige will come face to face with her past when her best friend gives her an invitation to The Players Club for a night of freedom and sex. What Paige never expected was to find Sawyer more than willing to give Paige whatever it was she wanted for the night, and possibly her future.

The prior relationship between Sawyer and Paige has already been established but Sawyer needs to explain to Paige what it is he does and doesn’t know about the night eighteen months earlier. Hoping for a second chance with the woman that he loves, Sawyer begins a slow, sexual seduction of Paige. The $ex scenes are erotic, provocative and steamy. Sawyer is a man who likes rope and knot play, and Paige is a willing participant both in and out of the bedroom. There is also some light bondage, voyeurism, and spanking. I did have a slight concern as to Paige’s easy acceptance of the BDSM lifestyle, and Sawyer’s need to dominate and play-I thought there should have been a little more ambivalence on the part of our leading heroine but she took what was offered with very little concern.

PLAYING WITH PLEASURE has a large ensemble cast of secondary characters including friends, family and potential love interests. Raina and Logan from book one –PLAYING WITH TEMPTATION-play a supporting role, as well as a number of Paige’s friends including Kendall Shaw and Paige’s co-worker Summer. We are also introduced to Jase Burns, Sawyer’s friend and fellow security expert at Noble and Associates. Kendall and Jase’s storyline will be told in PLAYING WITH SEDUCTION. The requisite evil comes in the form of Paige’s step sister Ashley who has made Paige’s life miserable for a number of years.

PLAYING WITH PLEASURE is an easy and predictable read; a fast paced, sexy look at a second chance for two people whose lives were torn apart by jealousy and betrayal. The premise is entertaining; the characters colorful, animated and real; the woman are strong of character and determined; the romance is a quick build to a happily ever after. The BDSM content is light, and there is limited exposure to the happenings at The Player’s Club.

I'm going to be quite frank with you all, I was dreading this book. Given how book 1 left off we saw a glimpse into Paige and Sawyer and their tortured past and I just was not ready to deal with this. I didn't think there was a way to redeem Sawyer. But, alas, Ms. Wilde has never once steered me wrong in one of her books, and being a long-time reader of hers I knew I had to read this book anyways. So I dove in. And thank goodness I did. Remember, folks: Don't judge a book by its cover, and don't jump to conclusions! I know, pot, meet kettle. This book turned out to be quite steamy, thoroughly enjoyable, and even sweet. It's the sweet erotica that this author does so well. Sweet and kinky. I'm not sure how she pulls it off. It's a talent, I must admit.

Playing with Pleasure is the second installment in the Players Club series. With Paige and Sawyer, there's a bit of past we get to revisit during the book. They were young lovers once, and then a goblin (as she will be called, her real name is Ashley and she's Paige's step-sister) decided to butt in and ruin everything in one of the cruelest ways possible. But when these two are once again thrown together, in a sex club, of all places, the dynamite attraction between them will not be ignored. The question is, will Paige choose to ignore her heart too? Her heart that has been trampled by this man once before, and the heart that is shouting at her for some kind of protection. Caution is thrown to the wind, and thankfully so. Especially when the details of their fated night come to light. It's on big familial drama. And let me just say, the goblin gets what the goblin deserves. And she deserves so much more than what was handed to her.

Paige and Sawyer were too sickeningly cute for words. Both strong, and willing to fight for each other this time around. Both gaining the courage they didn't have years ago. And both coming together in the throes of passion, a passion that is far more adventurous than they used to be and their relationship thrives off of it. I quite enjoyed seeing this all play out. Given my hesitancy, I couldn't be more excited to be wrong, and for this couple to emote the strength and passion Erika Wilde is known for in her books. A highly enjoyable read, and left me WANTING and NEEDING more from this series!

Happy Reading!

Title: "Playing with Pleasure" - this novel is actually book #2 in the "Player's Club" series however, each book is written as a standalone novel. More information to follow. :)
Author: Erika Wilde - twitter.com/ErikaWilde1 - goodreads.com/erikawildeauthor - Facebook.com/erikawildeauthor - www.ErikaWilde.com. Alias: Janelle Denison.
Publication: released 13 July 2015 by Erika Wilde. Kindle: $3.99; Book: $9.99.

*~*~*NOTE: A FREE ARC (Electronic format) WAS GENEROUSLY PROVIDE BY THE AUTHOR - VIA NETGALLEY - IN EXCHANGE FOR MY HONEST REVIEW. THANK YOU, ERIKA! *~*~*

About the book: fiction/adult fiction, romance, mild BDSM (more erotica/detailed-HOT-love scenes), strong female MC, sex club, veteran (Iraq), PTSD, drama.

Read: June 30-July 14, 2015 (part time).

My rating (1-5 scale): SOLID 4.5-5! (I'm not sure why I'm waffling a little in the "half" other than I'm stingy with '5's')...I loved this book!

My thoughts:

When I requested this novel via NetGalley, I purposely did NOT read book #1 of the Player's Club series as I wanted to evaluate "Playing with Pleasure" as its own, standalone novel that is also part of a series. of course now I HAVE to devour the other two books STAT!!!

"Playing with Pleasure" is so well written and truly is a standalone! If I had not been aware of the series, it would have been totally unnoticed-seriously. I really like that element in a series; I like the flexibility of reading a book that is recommended or looks interesting regardless of where it stands within a series; then, if I like the book, I enjoy going back and reading the series from the beginning to "meet" all of the characters, etcetera and thus recognize them throughout other books. Hopefully that made sense. :)

In this book, we are introduced to the lovely and independent Paige Moore. Paige is working her way up the Haute Couture ladder as a fashion designer of breathtakingly beautiful, custom corsets. She's the daughter of a deceased wealthy father & stepmother and has a NASTY biotch of a spoiled stepsister antagonist. Paige has struggled with insecurity in love as well as with her "curvy body" and has been burned a couple times courtesy of the delightful step-sister.

Sawyer was one of the men that broke Paige's heart. He is back from 15 months at war in Iraq and is struggling with his own losses from that experience (PTSD-post-war). Sawyer has never forgotten his feelings for Paige after all of this time and still loves her.

In short, Paige receives a gift certificate for an evening at the private sex club, Player's Club, from her good friend. When she finally decides to visit PC, she discovers a new side of herself! A part of her that is open, fascinated and aroused by what she witnesses taking place at the club. Then, there's Sawyer with a model-thin beauty draped over his lap...

All of this takes place early in the book thus we are treated to watching Paige and Sawyer's story play out as they see each other again for the first time I over a year and a half.

I was so surprised by how quickly I became emotionally involved with this story! I immediately related to Paige as a representative of we "average" gals that only see a size "2" if it is preceded by the number "1", you know? Ms. Wilde truly does a fantabulous job of character building as well as giving us a really juicy back story to keep things spicy. I also really, really enjoyed that the couple of BDSM scenes were about ROMANCE and were actually quite beautiful and emotional for BOTH the Dom and the Sub. Very special, imo.

"Playing with Pleasure" is not a hardcore whips and chains kind of story; bondage is more of a side benefit of romance, so to speak. I was pleasantly surprised by this! I really enjoyed the detailed love scenes; Ms. Wilde can reeeeallly serve up some hot sex! Whew! I also really enjoyed the fact that this book was a traditional romance underneath it all as well.

Truly, this is a well written, thoughtful, steamy and dramatic love story. I loved it and will be reading book #1 - "Playing with Temptation" and book #3 - "Playing with Seduction (when it's released) SOON!

Enjoy! :-)

Lust and love go hand in hand when a misunderstanding forces a man to watch the woman he loves walk away. When he finds himself on the receiving end of a second chance, he pulls out all the stops, including revealing a very private part of himself that he needs the heroine to accept in order for them to have their happily ever after.

Years ago Sawyer broke Paige's heart when he slept with her evil (and I mean EVIL) stepsister. And on her birthday to boot. She has moved on and has created a business doing what she loves. When her friend gives her an invitation to the Player's Club, Paige has no idea that she will come face to face with her past and be unable to resist the pleasure that Sawyer wants to give her. Sawyer hasn't stopped loving her and wants to explain what happened back then. Made me want to kick her stepmonster in the shin. Their chemistry is over the top and they share some scorching hot moments together. I really loved Paige. She is sweet and sexy and Sawyer is just delicious. I loved their story.

I give Playing with Pleasure 5 hearts!

Hot Damn! I can’t get enough of this series! I may have squealed a little when this book hit my Kindle! The cover…the cover is nothing short of delicious. I picked up this book on a Saturday morning with the intention of just reading a chapter or two before I started my household chores. Well that was shot to hell. I didn’t get my chores completed…or get off the couch. I didn’t put it down until I finished it!

Paige is devastated when Sawyer betrays her in the worst possible way. Yet, even after not seeing him for a year and a half, her heart still skips a beat when she runs into him at The Players Club. And who can blame her because he is completely yummy. Now, I know I said that Sawyer betrayed Paige. But I have to be honest and tell you that there isn’t any intentional cheating in this book. Does that make sense? I can’t read books where either of the characters cheat. But the circumstances in this book are so completely different…I promise!

The Players Club is all about decadence and indulging in your wildest fantasies. Paige goes there with the intention of letting loose and moving on from Sawyer. Instead he shows her that there is still smokin’ hot chemistry between them and he is in fact, her wildest fantasy. I fell a little in love with Sawyer. He’s beautiful, inside and out. He has this honesty about him that drew me. You know what he’s feeling, he doesn’t play any games. Poor Paige is struggling with her self-confidence and body image. I believed that Sawyer loved and lusted after the whole package that made Paige who she was. I was so clearly able to relate to her issues. I swear, Paige's insecurities could have been my own. I felt them that strongly. Thank you Ms. Wilde for writing such a believable and honest struggle.

Paige struggles with letting Sawyer back into her heart and he puts up a fight that no woman would be able to resist! These two together are absolutely combustible. They have a kind of connection that leaps off the page. I wanted them to be real, to know them. The love scenes are nothing short of drool worthy. There’s just enough of a kink factor that kept it oh so delectable but didn’t overwhelm me. Sweet baby Jesus, Sawyer knows how to tie a knot…in just the right places!

There was a bit of a Cinderella story going on. The evil stepsister Ashley is a horrible wench who rips at Paige’s heart and confidence at every turn. Not to mention she’s trying to get her tentacles into Sawyer. I’m not sure I’ve ever wanted to hurt a fictional character more. The relationship between Paige and her stepsister is tragic because all she really wants is a connection to something, to family. I found myself actually feeling bad for Ashley at times. You get a sense that she’s searching for something too. She’s a vapid bitch but there’s an underlying reason, and it’s sad.

Slowly, or maybe not so slowly since Sawyer bulldozed through all of her walls and apprehensions, Paige starts to open up and gain more of a backbone. She takes life by the balls and takes what she wants, what she deserves. I really enjoyed this progression of the heroine’s character. It was natural. She needed to feel all these emotions that were quite often difficult. But it shaped her into who she wanted and needed to be.

I’m not sure there’s any other way to explain how I felt about this book, except to say that I adored it! There’s a solid plot, likeable characters ( and one awful stepsister ), and enough bed yoga to keep your face burning! I can hardly wait for book 3. I’m kinda hoping that Erika Wilde cuts back on sleeping and a social life so I can get my greedy fingers on it soon. I’m kidding…not really.

Paige has an evil stepsister who would do anything to bring her down, destroy her self-esteem and humiliate her. She even went so far as to sleep with Paige's boyfriend Sawyer to break them up. Now, a year and a half later, Sawyer is out of the military and wants a second chance or closure, whichever Paige will give him. He needs to explain what REALLY happened With Ashley. After all the heartbreak, can she trust what he says is the truth?

In my opinion Sawyer should be up for book boyfriend of the year. Truly, he's an amazing man. He's sexy, gorgeous, dominant, a gentleman and extremely talented in the bedroom. Paige is a lucky, lucky woman. He tries so hard to let Paige know how much he adores her. It breaks his heart to see her doubt her beauty and talent.

What an awesome story in a crazy good series! This is book 2 in the Players Club series. I can't wait to read whatever this fantastic author writes next.

I was not compensated for my review. I was not required to write a positive review. The opinion expressed is my own.

Fantastic, Seriously Sexy read that had me captivated from beginning to end. This is the first story by Erika Wilde that I have read but it definitely is not my last. Adored their reconnection and I absolutely fell in love with Sawyer and his determination and the effort he put into making Paige his number one priority. He is charming, sexy and so persistent. The characters were well developed and I found them to be lovable and captivating. Seriously sexy and sinfully steamy, tantalizing hotness and passion. Did not hold back on the steam factor. I loved where this story went and how it all came together. Paige Moore has been working hard getting her dream of designing, sewing and selling couture corsets off the ground. She had thrown herself into her business to help her forget the pain and heartbreak she experienced when her boyfriend Sawyer burned her when he cheated with her step sister a year and a half ago on her twenty-sixth birthday. When her friend Raina gives her a invitation to the players club she embraces the chance to enjoy a hot night with a stranger to try to get Sawyer in her system. Paige has had insecurities over her full figure curves from past doings by her bully of a step sister. So She wears one of her figure enhancing corsets and a mini skirt with heels to the club and is almost considering leaving when she sees Sawyer with another women sitting on his lap whispering in his ear. When she is approached by another handsome man she allows him to show her around hoping she will feel something between them. When he invites her down to one of the rooms to be with him, she tells him she wants to take it slow and look around, so she wanders upstairs to a shadowed area where she can watch scenes going on below. Sawyer knows he devastated Paige with his careless actions one and a half years ago and has lived with regret since then and wants to earn Paige's trust back. He is very surprised when he sees her at the club and is not ready for anyone else to have her, so he follows her and watches. When he finally steps up behind her And whispers in her ear, liquid heat spread throughout her body. His questions made her tremble and caused her to flush with renewed excitement. Everything about Sawyer is so virile and so heart stopping male she cannot stop herself from wanting him here and now. So Sawyer takes her to a private room but she sets the limits to protect her heart, and she gives herself up to the pleasure of being with Sawyer. The experience is seriously sexy, sinfully steamy, tantalizing hot with passion. You have got to read this Intensely Passionate story with plenty of Scorching love scenes. I absolutely was fascinated by the Shibari (Japanese Rope Bondage) scene and so will you. Will her step sister create more drama? Will Paige be able to trust Sawyer again? Will they find their HEA? Highly Recommend this Fantastic Story! Loved it!

We met Paige and Sawyer in Playing With Temptation. You could tell by their chance meeting that the history was not one that was great. In Playing with Pleasure second chances are possible, but forgiveness does not come easy. Sawyer has fought wars, but his biggest battle is going to be getting Paige to let him in. Can the two handle the tango, or will their dance end up in ruins?

I liked Paige in Playing with Temptation. She was extremely loyal Raina. Raina gets to pay Paige back by supporting through the trials of her family and seeing what role Sawyer would play in her life. The friendship between Paige and Raina are ones that we all would like to have. I am glad that Erika gave us more of that in Playing with Pleasure.

Erika Wilde also does a great job at painting the villain of the story as a heartless witch. Paige's step-sister is one person that I truly enjoyed disliking. When you see her actions in Playing with Pleasure you will want to see her get what is due just like I wanted to. Ashley is the perfect story villain. She is manipulative, calculating, and quite the con. She may be beautiful on the outside, but the inside makes her a beast. Paige believes she is the ugly duckling. She has knockout curves, that drive Sawyer crazy. I was rooting for Paige to see what a beautiful swan she truly was. She didn't need Ashley's cruelty to validate her as a person.

Sawyer has lived in regret since his actions hurt the woman he cared about. I did want him to feel guilty, but in the end when I found out what actually transpired I did like him quite a bit more. He redeemed himself in my eyes. That was a tall order for me too.

Playing with Pleasure had a lot of scenes that went over what happened in the past and how Sawyer was trying to rectify that. I wondered if Paige could let go of Sawyer's transgression. Seeing how Paige's story turned out has me excited to see what surprises hold in store for readers in the next installment of The Player's Club series.

A solid 4 star rating for character development and a story line that will have you holding your breath until the very end.

I really enjoyed this book, more so than the first one simply for the way the story was presented. Nothing like a second chance love story with a HEA, but this time it was mixed in with a nasty dose of bullying.

I love how Sawyer only has eyes for Paige, and has taught her to not be embarrassed but to embrace her curves and own her sexuality. Of course it wasn't easy for Paige, having to deal with her wicked bitchsister, who more than likely needs seven kinds of counseling to deal with her issues.

I was impressed that Paige's stepmother still treated Paige like family and was both appalled by her daughter's behavior yet cognizant of the cause of her daughter's actions. And I was especially impressed when Paige finally stood up to her bitchsister. She handled that with more class than I would have. Sawyer is the perfect man for Paige, he proved to her that he wasn't just after sex, even after an 18-month separation (due to the bitchsister), and that he truly loved and supported her.

Kudos to Ms. Wilde for writing a great story with a positive message!

Paige hasn’t really gotten over her breakup with Sawyer and when she gets an invitation to the Players Club she decides a night with a stranger is exactly what she needs to forget about him. Sawyer on the other hand has a different idea. Fast paced funny sexy read, I really liked Paige and Sawyer was hoping they would get their happy ending. Loving this series.

4.5 Stars!
The story has laughs, pain, betrayal, suspense, naughty fun, and heartbreak.

If you have not read the below I would recommend reading those books(s) first Playing With Him . .
(The Players Club, #0.5)
Playing with Temptation (The Players Club, #1)

This is Paige and Sawyer’s story. Sawyer hurt Paige before but he is determined to win her back. When she comes to the Player club he takes a chance at winning her over. He just needs her to listen to his side of what happened in the past. If she listens and believes him he might have a chance to have her again and if he gets a chance he is never gonna let her go. Paige wants to believe but can she really trust him? The story he tells sounds like it could have happened but is it true? The more time she spends with him the more she knows she still loves him. Someone has other ideas and will try everything to keep them apart. No matter that Paige and Sawyer worked things out this person decided they just will never be together. They will hurt Paige at every opportunity so that she does not get Sawyer. Can Paige and Sawyer come together and get the happily ever after they both want or will they lose everything?

I felt I was able to connect with the characters and the story was a great read.
I highly recommend this book.

I'm a huge fan of Erika Wilde and I anxiously await each new book. I love her new Players Club series and was so excited I had a chance to read Paige and Sawyer's book early.

I loved Playing with Pleasure so much. I've wanted to know more about Paige since we first met her in The Marriage Diaries books. I've always seen her as such a strong businesswoman and fierce friend, but wanted her to find love after her ex broke her heart. I really wanted to hate Sawyer for hurting Paige, but felt deep down there was way more to the story than Paige knew. I love that while Paige goes to The Players Club for a hot night with a stranger, Paige and Sawyer can't stay away from one another. While Paige and Sawyer can't keep their hands off one another, I did like that Paige set some limits in the beginning. I understood her need to protect herself initially and it totally fit with her character.

I loved how hard Sawyer worked to prove to Paige he was sorry for their past and would be willing to work for them to have a future. I honestly found it hard to believe he would ever have anything to do with Paige's stepsister Ashley and after actually seeing Ashley in action; I hated her more than ever before. The only way I can describe Ashley is a selfish vindictive bitch. I loved that Sawyer and Paige actually talked through their issues from the past to they could actually have a chance at a future, including the Ashley issues.

Paige became more confident in her looks the more time she spent with Sawyer. I think the fact that he absolutely worshiped her body every single time they were together had just a little bit to do with it. My kindle screen pretty much steamed up every single time Paige and Sawyer were alone together. I loved that both Paige and Sawyer were willing to test their limits together in and out of the bedroom. I really loved watching Paige and Sawyer reestablish trust the more time they spent together. With Sawyer's dominance tendencies in the bedroom trust was a must for their relationship to grow. Sawyer also had major protective instincts when it comes to Paige, and I loved that there were moments of sweetness to go along with the steamy love scenes.

I absolutely loved everything about Paige and Sawyer's romance. I really think their strength as a couple came partly because of their time apart due to Ashley. While I would love to have seen someone drop a piano on Ashley to get her out of the way, I really loved how Paige, Sawyer and even Ashley's mom handled the situation in the end.

I've loved all of the Marriage Diaries books and The Players Club books so far. I have to say that Paige and Sawyer are currently my favorite couple from the series. I joked on Facebook that I really wanted to just say buy this book for my review since I loved it so much. Playing with Pleasure is another winner from Erika Wilde and a winner for romance readers who enjoy both scorching hot love scenes and sweetness in their romances.

My 4.5 star review:
Erika Wilde is one of those authors who never ceases to amaze me. She continually writes sexy and erotic stories but manages to give them heart then she adds in easy to like characters plus a little conflict and rolls it all in to one fantastic romance. Playing With Pleasure is her second book in the Player’s Club series and it’s possible I like this one even better than the first one mainly because I love seeing old lover’s reunited but it’s also fantastic to see two people open themselves completely, let down their defenses, and give everything to another person and both the hero and heroine did just that in this story.

Paige Moore is one of those heroines I think so many women can related to; she’s a successful businesswoman, she’s self sufficient and she has good friends, but she also suffers from body image issues and a bit of self doubt. Most people see the strong woman Paige projects to the world but those closest to her know underneath she carries some deep scars some directly related to her witchy (with a b) step-sister and the incident that left her reeling on her 26th birthday.

Despite the fact that Sawyer Burrows feels he wasn’t totally at fault with the incident that caused Paige the pain she feels, it is something he’s never been able to forget and seeing her again just makes him realize how much he wants her back in his life. First he has to get her to give him the time of day and seeing her in the exclusive Player’s Club gives him the perfect opportunity but despite his military training he knows winning over Paige will be the toughest battle he’s ever faced.

Intense is the one word that comes to mind when I think back on their first encounter following the incident that broke them apart years ago. Paige hates that her traitorous body responds to this “new” Sawyer, the one she’s never seen before but she can’t help but take advantage of everything he’s willing to give because this time it’s on her terms. There is a wide divide between these two, but I give Sawyer so much credit for not only breaking down the wall Paige has erected around herself but for putting everything out there for her to absorb right off the bat and not pressuring her into a decision; giving her time to draw her own conclusions and make her own decisions. I’ll admit while I felt sorry for what happened to Sawyer it would have been hard for me to overlook what happened even knowing he really was innocent of wrongdoing but Paige is a better person than me, not only that she worked hard to understand everything about Sawyer and his needs without freaking out and running away.

I loved the way Paige’s friends rallied around her, the way they didn’t judge her for giving Sawyer another chance and the way they were there to back her up when her step-sister tried to ruin everything she worked so hard for. This group of ladies is a fierce and diverse group which makes me love them all the more.

Anytime I see characters grow and change in a book it makes me appreciate everything the author has put in to making her characters seem real and that’s exactly how I felt about Paige and Sawyer. These are people I would love to know, hang out, and become friends with.

A seductive and sexy story with characters I won’t forget, a story that had me jeering and CHEERING, and most of all a lesson that forgiveness can lead to the most wonderful things in our lives.

PS—Can I just say I really, really, really wanted Paige’s witch of a step-sister to find herself cut off and cut out of their lives? Yes, I really can be vindictive at times.

My thoughts:

Paige and Sawyer or H-O-T, hot together. While their approach to the past and their troubles were different I’m glad that they ended up in the same place in the end.

I love Paige’s challenge when they unexpectedly meet up at the club. “Those are my rules. Take them or leave them.”

I love how Sawyer phrases his love for Paige, “You’re this rare combination of sweet and sexy that I can’t resist.”

While the stepsister is evil and deserves everything she gets, the book wouldn’t have been the same without her. I also think that Paige’s stepmother is important to make the story what it is. There is so much background involving her.

I look forward to catching up with the books from this series that I missed as well as any new additions to the series that may be forthcoming from Ms. Wilde. I recommend this book to anyone who loves it when their Kindle smokes from the words on the page. Enjoy!

This series keeps getting better! So we get the next book in tis series and it did not disappoint at all. From the first book I read by this author, she drew me in with her steam, suspense, and intense moments that this series contains and continues to have me coming back.
This book was nothing short of perfect. A combination of sexy, sweet, passion, and intensity, this book grabbed me from the first page. I devoured this book in one sitting and loved every minute of it. Full of edginess and steam, you are in for one hell of a love story.
This is Paige and Sawyer's story. From the beginning, they have a connection. Full of passion igniting, these two will make you believe in second chances and love. They will make you swoon. They will make you smile. They will make you feel. But the ride is so worth it by the end.
I highly recommend this book.

I'm going with 4 stars on this second installment of the Players Club novels. I had hopes for the series, but felt a little bogged down by the first book; which I now believe was due to the detailed set up of the series. It is true that each book stands alone. There are characters that overlap the stories, but Erika Wilde manages to keep the reader engaged and not confused. This novel featured a couple's second chance at love story, and I really liked it a lot. I found the heroine to be most engaging and easy to connect to emotionally. It took me awhile to warm up to the hero - I credit Ms. Wilde's writing skills with managing to redeem him in my eyes by the end of the book. Erika writes with passion, but also with respect for the lifestyles she portrays. I'm looking forward to the next book.

Playing with pleasure is a fantastic quick erotic read. I loved it from first until the last page. It is a second chance love. And it is hot sexy and amazing.
I was satisfied with everything, by writing, story, plot and characters. Paige runs into her ex-boyfriend Sawyer in the Players Club. Although he cheated her she cannot forget him. Sawyer is very surprised to see Paige in the club and decided that she will be his again. The attraction between them is still strong and Paige allows Sawyer to show her the side of him which had he before hidden from her. Beautiful second chance love story with mild BDSM elements. Highly recommended

Playing with Pleasure by Erika Wilde Book #2: The Players Club Series Source: Netgalley My Rating: 4½/5 stars My Review:

Paige Moore has spent the last year and a half trying to mend her broken heart. If her heart were as easy to mend as one of her high end corsets, she would have gotten over Sawyer Burrows the same morning she found him in bed with her stepsister. For the past year and a half, Sawyer Burrows has nurtured a deep and profound love for Paige Moore. He has also harbored an intense guilt over the fact he was caught in bed with her stepsister and broke her trust and her heart all in one fell swoop.

The night Paige Moore walks back into Sawyer’s life it is in the one place he never thought to see her, The Players Club. Paige showed up to have a single night of delightful debauchery with a stranger but if Sawyer has anything to say about it, no man but him is going to touch Paige. What was meant to be a “get Sawyer out of her system” night turns into the most intense and pleasurable sexual experience of her life. . . . with Sawyer. With every intention of getting Paige back, Sawyer follows up on his night with Paige with a request to have dinner with her. Though Paige knows she should turn him down flat, Sawyer has always been a hard man to refuse and if nothing else, she can gain some closure.

Dinner with Sawyer was certainly not meant to turn into a make out session but once Sawyer lays all the cards out on the table and explains what he thinks happened the morning Paige caught him, many, many pieces of the puzzle fall into place. Paige has always been a very forgiving soul and Sawyer seems to be completely sincere in his beliefs and his intentions toward Paige. What’s more, Sawyer reveals to Paige his deepest sexual desires and tells her, when she is ready, he would like to further explore his desires with her.

While Paige and Sawyer are on their way toward the HEA they were initially denied, forces are working against them in a most horrible way. Paige’s stepsister is one seriously heinous bitch and though Paige has always tried to ignore her or forgive her actions, some acts are just to awful to ignore. Since she was a teenager, Paige’s stepsister has treated her like the hired help when in fact, it was Paige’s father who provided for her stepsister and stepmother. There have been acts, taunts, and truly hurtful words that have gone a very long way toward breaking down Paige and robbing her of much of her self-confidence. Just as Paige’s world is coming together both personally and professionally, her stepsister strikes again.

The Bottom Line: I know this is only the second book in this series but I am absolutely devoted to it and really loving the path this series is on. Paige is such a likeable character that you immediately want to see her happy and Sawyer makes her happy. The only thing I wished for Paige that didn’t happen was for her to really, really let loose on her evil as all hell stepsister. Instead, Paige stays true to her character and says just what needs to be said to gain closure and satisfaction for herself. Sawyer is a beautiful man whose world was turned upside down the morning Paige caught him with her stepsister. His intention to be with her is so pure and true and his honesty about that night/morning is just heartbreaking. His backstory is, if possible even more heartbreaking and had me all kinds of rooting for him. His actions toward Paige are both dirty and sweet and he supports her completely through everything she endures at the hands of her stepsister. He is a true partner and that makes him intensely sexy. Wilde has created such a great cast of characters that The Players Club is sure to keep entertaining me for some time to come.

This second story in the sexy BDSM Club series The Player's Club (all standalone) features Paige and Sawyer. Two years ago they were dating and enjoying what seemed to be a promising relationship -until the night of Paige's birthday when Sawyer ended up in Paige's sister Ashley's bed and broke her heart. Five days later he left on his military engagement and has only recently returned. When her friend Raina gives her a one night pass to the club, Paige is determined to use it wisely and find someone to give her the pleasure she's been missing since the break up. Only, Sawyer is a regular at the club, and when he sees Paige, he's determined to get her to give him a second chance. But one night of hot sex isn't enough to restore Paige's trust and Sawyer's going to have to work hard to convince her that what happened in the past won't ever happen again. Can they find their way to happiness once again?

I really enjoyed this story! After reading the first one in the series, I put this immediately on my to-read list, as I liked the premise, the Player's Club being about to my tastes in terms of the sexuality of the club (nothing too fetishy, more into the bondage and D/s parts of BDSM). Though the initial part of the story takes place in the club as Paige and Sawyer reconnect, the majority of the story is outside of it, as Sawyer tries to get to the bottom of what really happened the night of Paige's birthday and to show Paige that he's not the cheating man that she thinks he is. I really liked Sawyer's character. He's an alpha male, a Dom for sure, but he has a really sweet and tender side (aren't they the best kind of alpha males!) and he goes to a lot of effort to make Paige feel wanted and cherished for who she is. Paige is a lovely, bright and talented woman who makes beautiful corsets for a living. But she has self esteem issues, stemming from her past relationships with men that never worked out right, and her fractious relationship with her sister Ashley, a vindictive and bitter woman. Ashley is the source of conflict in the story, the woman who never lets a moment go by where she doesn't demean Paige in some way. It was wonderful to see Paige finally standing up for herself, not letting Ashley deter her from what she wants, and finding ways to get around Ashley's attempts to sabotage bother her personal and her business life. Truthfully, there were times in the story where I just wanted to throttle Ashley (I'm sure this is the author's intent!) but in the end, Paige and Sawyer are able to get their happy ever after.

Of course the story, being set with a BDSM theme has lots of sexy and hot scenes throughout, and the chemistry between Paige and Sawyer is easy to see. But the characters make the story too, and the dynamic between the two of them was fun to read. This is another great addition to the series. 4 stars.

Another great addition to the Player Clubs series.

This book centers around Sawyer and Paige but we still get to see all the great characters from the first book in the series. Paige and Sawyer are reunited after a year and a half of being apart due to a misunderstanding.

I really liked that even though Sawyer was not completely to blame for what tore them apart he tired to make things right and went nice and slow gaining Paige's trust and a place back in her life. I also liked when he finally showed Paige her birthday gift that he had saved for her while they were apart.

This is another quick, sexy read and I can't wait to read the rest of this series. Great job Erika!

I will also post my review on Facebook and Twitter.
