Description

Arley Copeland vows never to trust anyone, much less a man, ever again. After her fledging career as a romance writer grinds to a halt and her ex blabs to the press about her preferences in bed, she heads to Gypsy Beach desperate to regain some anonymity and maybe figure out what to do next.
Divorce attorney John Rowan has been in on the explosive end of more marriages than he can count. Love never lasts. Of that he’s certain. Sick of barely existing inside the concrete jungle of Atlanta with the endless traffic and endless noise he heads towards a two-week reprieve in Gypsy Beach, North Carolina.

From the moment he lays eyes on Arley Copeland, John is determined to prove that not every guy on the planet is out to hurt her, and maybe teach her a thing or two about herself in his bed and out. With every sinfully sweet caress, they’re falling more and more in love. Their pasts may be fading away, but will John ever be prepared to risk it all on a lifetime love when he doesn’t believe such a thing could ever exist?

This is a well written book. I absolutely loved book one, this one was just as good.

Gypsy Love was such a sweet and spicy romance. Arley and John had instant chemistry that worked. I loved how they met and the response that each character had. It was priceless. I also loved how each person made the other stronger, in a sense. They deposited versus withdrew from one another.

It was great to revisit Ryan and Sienna. And I loved the minor glimpse of Hope and her friend-boy. I know I want to see what that's about. (That little hook drew a fish, that's for sure!)

Ugh!!! Arley's family were ridiculous. All I have to say is,"See ya!"

Gypsy Love is the first novel by Jillian Neal that I have read. It intrigued me when the synopsis stated that Gypsy Beach was a fictional NC coastal town. The town itself and the people there are not so much the focus as the two visitors to The Gypsy Inn. Two opposite thinking people when it comes to romance couldn’t have been planned any better. This is an exceptional idea for a story.

John and Arley are at crossroads in their lives when they meet at the inn. John is sick and tired of being a workaholic divorce lawyer while Arley has her books and her income all tied up with no available money. I liked the chemistry between these two characters. However, I found that it happened very quickly from hello to fling, a bit too quickly.

When John was in his lawyer mode he is quite an effective character. Arley is like a lost girl who hasn’t recovered from her father’s death. I understand the loss, having experienced it too but I wondered like the judge why she waited three years to take the family to court. She wouldn’t have done it then if it hadn’t been for John. Then John’s terms of endearment for her also seem to lower her overall appearance of being able to stand on her own. A stronger female lead would have been more my cup of tea.

The plot itself flows smoothly moving from the inn back to Georgia. The court scene is one of my favorite in the story. I also enjoyed the hint of fate having something to do with these two coming together; the gypsy magic at work. After having read this book, I would read another by Jillian Neal, hoping for two tough main characters.

this is a wonderful beach read. Fast paced, sweet and erotic but also has a wholesome romantic element. The characters are real with real problems and worries. Each tugs at your heart and has you feeling attached to the story and the characters.

Avery has just lost everything. Her career due to no fault of her own, her trust in others and her freedom. Her freedom was quashed because of feeling stifled by expectations. this in turn had her go into writer’s block. To overcome this and feel safe away from her family she goes away from the judgments to Gypsy cove. Where she meets the sweet kind sexy lawyer John.

John is disgruntled with his job and life. Life in terms of happiness. His dad and his treatment of his mom has him feeling love isn’t real and he will be left behind. When Avery comes into the picture though he has stirrings. Stirrings that have him wanting to protect and be what she needed. But the nagging feeling he will become his dad is always there.

Together they become what the other needs. One give the other trust and makes them feel safe. The other gives love and happiness. Together they are sweet and sexy and buoy each other. When push comes to shove love is feared and hurt does come about until friends intervene and help John see that risk is needed and what love is and forever is as well.

This is a well written, entertaining, sexy fun book about two people who have been hurt by family and friends, don’t really trust but come together and find love and trust with each other. They learn to see the world through each others love and safety nets. A wonderful romantic read with a sexy element.

Though this does have quite a bit of insta-love going on, John Rowan and Arley Copeland's love story was an enjoyable read. They've both got family issues: Arley with her mother, sisters, and other relatives who look down on her being a published writer of romances, thinking it's nothing more than glorified porn, and holding her inheritance from her late father hostage because of it and John with his father's abandonment and trying desperately to make up for the man's mistakes. They're exactly what the other one needs, providing understand, support, and acceptance and opening their eyes to the possibility that someone will love them for who they are and not expect hem to change or be someone who they aren't.

I do have an issue with the incessant use of certain so-called terms of endearment, i.e. baby girl, little girl, good girl, sweet girl, and baby doll. It was overly repetitive and the fact that some of those terms were the same ones John used when talking to his goddaughter Evie made me want to gag. It's one thing to use them on a child but to use the very same terms with someone while you're having sex is just...blech! Plus, Arley isn't a girl; she's a woman, for heaven's sake! There was nothing endearing about the usage and it simply came off as demeaning, in my opinion. And yes, it did affect my overall impression of the book, though I did enjoy this second book more than I did the first one. I'm giving Gypsy Love four stars. ♥

At first, the way John talked seemed a little over-the-top but the more I got to know him, it was his vibrant personality shining through. He's so charming and real. He's a master with the dirty talk and then following through with it in the bedroom. I think I'm in love! Arley and John hit it off from the start. They were both staying in Gypsy Beach at Ryan and Sienna's B&B. Arley has been smothered by everyone in her family but her deceased father. They are all ashamed of her and call her sinful and worse. All because she's an erotic romance author. She has mega self-esteem issues and he has some pretty huge issues himself. Can Gypsy magic stick with them as they leave Gypsy Beach or does the magic stick to the shores?

Fantastic! I couldn't put it down. Great characters and even greater Gypsy lore. I can't wait to read more of this amazing Gypsy Beach series.

I was not compensated for my review. I was not required to write a positive review. The opinion expressed is my own.

I received from RockStar Lit in exchange for a honest review.

I took this with me for a beach weekend. Let me tell you it wasn't a let down. While I was reading out at the beach mind you it was 93 in VA beach some of the scenes made me even hot. Talk about WOW HOT!
John the divorce attorney doesn't believe in love. Who is Ryan's best friend is at the the Inn to relax. He find Arley and helps her with her legal issues runs into something more.
Arley, the sex writer and still mourning the loss of her father goes to her friends Inn who is Sienna. Arley has some serious trust issues. Her family is just another mess on their own. they won'y give her inheritance because of what she writes. You'd think they would be happy for her. She seeks out John for her, it convenient there both at the Inn.
The names John called Arley was a turn on baby girl, little girl, and sweet girl. I guess some people didn't like them but, eveyrone has their thing.
The beach is magical to even bring theses two together. It was a good fun read. I just love this series and HEA. Julian Neal does it yet again.

Arley life has taken a downfall in more ways than one. Career on hold, family pushing her go give up a part of who she is, throws caution to wind and finds herself driving hours to Gypsy Beach. A smart woman whom I had a instant liking for. Her life is hanging on a whim and she goes to the beach. So my kind of girl. Strong in ways that make Arley seem real. She may not see the light at the end of the tunnel, but she will laugh along the way.

John has only seen the the dark side of love. Being a good divorce lawyer, has only proven his theory on love. John is sexy beyond belief and has the perfect dominance to make just about girl melt. Love is not a part of his world. When work has become too much and what he does best has failed, John realizes with a push from friend, a relaxing break is what is need from the stress of life. Gypsy Beach opens John's eyes to something he never we knew he wanted.

Jillian Neal has a wonderful gift of showing the magic of love. John and Arley are a fun couple. With chemistry and passion flowing, they make a beach fling into something neither of them want to let go of. For people who don't care for love they have a funny way of showing it. Jillian Neal has created this amazing little beach town that I have come to love.

Gypsy Love is book two in the Gypsy Beach series by Jillian Neal. I loved book one....but I think this one was even better! Arley and John have never met but they just need a break from their work and lives. They both decide on Gypsy Beach for that break.....John's best friend runs the inn there but Arley just randomly picks the location....or did she.......could it be the magic of Gypsy Beach that drew each of them there at the same time and changed both of their lives forever?

John Rowen is a divorce attorney and is best friends with Ryan from book one. John’s job has left him disillusioned and he just doesn't believe that true love exists.....someone will eventually leave and that love will turn to hate. He feels drawn to Gypsy Beach, the place his best friend now calls home, The Gypsy Inn on Gypsy Beach. Maybe all he needs is some time away from his job and the city to regroup.

Arley Copeland’s life is a mess. Arley is an author of erotic romances. Her father was a well known Pulitzer Prize winning author before he passed away. He was so proud of his daughter but never lived to see her work in print. The rest of Arley’s family is another story. They are conservative and manipulative. They are embarrassed by Arley’s career and want her to give it up and will stop and nothing to force her to do so. At the same time, Arley is having other problems with her publisher. She’s almost out of money but she has to get away. She goes online finds an add for a quaint inn in a place she’s never heard of, Gypsy Beach. As she walks in the front door with her luggage, she sees the most attractive man she has ever seen.

As John and Arley get to know each other, the attraction is immediate. He eventually gets her to admit what is going on in her life and he vows to help her to unravel the mess. Arley has been beaten down and taken advantage of and he will not allow that to go on. John is one of those men that is a protector.

Arley can’t believe that a random choice of vacation spots has given her the most amazing man she has ever dreamt of. More amazing than any man she could have conjured up in one of her romance novels. And he is a lawyer and wants to help her.

I really did love this book, even more than the first one. I loved John in book one and I was so looking forward to his story. I also loved that we got plenty of Ryan and Sienna from book one. But what happens when a romance novelist falls in love with her very own knight in shining armor? Except that this particular knight doesn’t believe in the forever kind of love. This was a steamy, perfect beach read and I can’t wait to see what Jillian Neal has in store for us next in the next book in this series, Gypsy Hope.

This is a wonderful book and I highly recommend it.
