“This romantic fantasy proves as thrilling as it is delightful." —Kirkus Reviews
“Hilarious, heartwarming, and wildly fun, Not Today, Satan is a voicey romp by an author to watch. With equal parts humor, romance, and adventure, this story will have readers laughing, swooning, and rapidly turning pages.” —L.E. Flynn, USA Today bestselling author of All Eyes on Her
I’m destined to rule the damned…not fall for one.
Think your life is hell?
Try being the Prince of Darkness’s only daughter—a seventeen-year-old born and raised in Hell, destined to inherit the throne, and constantly enduring the (literal) eternal moans and screams of souls who had it coming.
The only thing worse than ruling the Underworld is working here. Day after day, it’s me, a bunch of demons who are too intimidated by my dad to befriend me, and an endless lineup of sinners. Until Nathan Reynolds shows up, with a smile that could turn brimstone to butterflies, claiming he’s innocent.
I don’t question the system; it's never wrong. But Nate’s pleading eyes have me doubting everything I’ve ever known.
So, I’m going to do the one thing I’m not supposed to do: I’m going to help him break out. Even if it means showing Nate exactly who I am. Metaphorical horns and all.
Because if we don’t make it out of here?
We’re not just damned. We’re doomed.

Spice: 🌶️
I enjoyed this action packed, funny, and heart warming novel! It had the perfect mix of comedy, charm, and plot. I didn’t think it was very spicy, but it doesn’t need it. I was swooning over the MMC - Nathan’s caring and sweet nature. His puns & flirting skills were also top notch.
I laughed at how the FMC- Devica, talks about things she doesn’t know about on Earth. Since she has lived in Hell her whole life. “He must be good at this tea thing if he’s been promoted to Earl.” (Talking about Earl Grey tea.) 😆
I was pleasantly surprised with the message I interpreted from this book! Some of my favorite quotes that can further explain: “Those imperfections make me who I am, and I’m proud of all of me.” “It would be impossible to have light if we didn’t also have the dark.” I didn’t think such a dark themed book would have an empowering message, but it did!
My favorite quote: “Weren’t cats the furry demons Father sent to Earth to punish the living?” I don’t fully agree since I am the biggest cat lover, but I get it! They can be the biggest A-holes.🤣
I can’t wait to see more from this author! I thoroughly enjoyed this authors writing style, humor, and heart warming message in this book.
Thank you entangled publishing, NetGalley, and Samantha Joyce for this ARC! I am voluntarily leaving a honest review. ❤️🔥

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 🌶️
Action-packed, funny, and surprisingly heartfelt—I loved this book! Devica’s Earth commentary had me laughing (the “Earl Grey tea” line is perfection), and the message about embracing imperfections and balancing light with dark really hit. As someone scared of cats, the “furry demons” line was spot-on. I thoroughly enjoyed the author’s humor and voice, and I can’t wait to read more. Thank you to Teen Entangled Publishing / Entangled Insiders Facebook Group for the ARC—I’m leaving this review voluntarily. ❤️🔥
Not Today, Satan by Samantha Joyce
What a fun and refreshing read! Defiantly a good read for YA. This book had me laughing nonstop with the two main characters. It centers around Devica (Satans one and only heir) and Nate, the totally-out-of-place boy who somehow ends up in Hell. Their journey through Hell is full of laugh-out-loud moments, clever twists, and surprising emotional depth.
Devica is just trying to figure out who she is in a world that expects her to be the next Satan.Together Devica and Nate navigate Hell and the bond between them grows on their journey.

1/2 🌶️ (This book is YA)
Thank you @entangled and @netgalley for providing me with an arc copy of this one! 🫶
As expected with a title like “Not Today Satan”, this book was such a FUN adventure! The story really lived up to its name and kept me laughing throughout its entirety with lines like “Weren’t cats the furry demons Father sent to Earth to punish the living?” Not to mention all of the hell jokes and other witty puns. But aside from laughs it had a solid storyline full of emotion, a cute romance, tons of action scenes, and lovable characters. Needless to say, this one really went to hell and back to earn that 5⭐️. See what I did there? 🤣
Devina (the devils daughter and heir) is everything I love in a MC - she’s smart but also a little bit of an undercover baddie. (I’m not sure if I’d call her a black cat but she definitely has some of the trope aspects.) While Nate is our loveable golden retriever MC who doubles as our comedian. Both characters bring so much to the story and were both written beautifully. I loved learning about both of their stories. I also thought the side characters were fun - even fishlips. 🤣🤣 Anyways, with all that said I can’t wait to see what Samantha Joyce comes up with next! ❤️
“It turns out, falling for you wasn’t drowning like I feared. It was flying.”
Ok, this was so stinking good! It was action packed and extremely funny! Very easy to connect with the characters. Loved the idea she’s the daughter of satan and is being groomed to take over. But she’s just a typical teen coming into herself discovering her fathers secret.
