PRAISE FOR MARY MARKS AND HER QUILTING MYSTERIES

“Marks does a great job of setting her tale apart by making the lead character an elderly woman. It’s refreshing that Martha’s ability to gather clues is not dependent on or limited by her age. The storyline is realistic in its simplicity and overall a delightful read.”—RT Book Reviews, 4 Stars, on Forget Me Knot

“Mary Marks has stitched together a very clever plot with a cast of engaging characters in this funny, fast-paced debut mystery.” —Laura Levine, author of Killing Cupid on Forget Me Knot

I had thought this book would lose something, because I wasn't as happy with book number 2. This was a great book! Ms. Marks included a little history, danger and lot of friendship in this book. I really enjoyed it.

I really enjoy this mystery series - it has a fully developed protagonist with great friends and a complicated love life, as well as a great investigatory eye and an urge for justice. There was a lot of suspense in this installment, along with some interesting historical information. Highly recommended.

I absolutely LOVE this series. However, this installment is my favorite so far. Mystery, a touch of romance and the characters that are quickly becoming my quirky friends make this an engrossing read thats 'KNOT' to be missed!

Martha finds out that her high school best friend Harriet has died and that she has been made the executor of her estate which is a lot larger than she expected. But when it is determined that she was murdered, Martha and her quilting friends must investigate. Friendship, murder and quilting, a really fun mystery!

Martha and her friends try to solve the murder of a childhood friend when she is named executor of her estate. This is the first book in the series that I've read but had no problems grasping the story and getting acquainted with Martha, Birdie and Lucy. This quilting trio are great cozy detectives and I'm going to be looking for the previous stories. Mary Marks is a writer that has lots of quilting tips.
