Description

Hazel Bridget is a firm believer in coincidences.

Having grown up in a small British town, where the only thing to ever happen was the odd shoplifting scandal, she’s used to living a quiet, uncomplicated life.

That is, until the hunter who’s been haunting her dreams turns up, and starts hunting something else.

Oddly familiar, and with a tendency to carry around small hunting daggers, Lucas thinks he’s being discreet. He isn’t. But as Hazel tries to figure him out, she realises he isn't the only one acting strangely. There's something off about her ex-best-friend, Ophelia Thorn, and it’s not just her snide comments.

Caleb, Ophelia’s sweet, distractingly handsome older brother, seems to be the only one willing to give Hazel the answers she’s after.

Unfortunately, she's not the only one searching for the truth…

Hazel Bridget is a firm believer in coincidences.

Having grown up in a small British town, where the only thing to ever happen was the odd shoplifting scandal, she’s used to living a quiet...

Fantastic! Everything I look for in fantasy. The book offers a different approach on the typical vampire story which I really appreciated (I say this as an OG Twilight fan) really enjoyed all the main characters a lot. Hazel and Caleb were both lovely, and I loved seeing all the layers that made Ophelia her, good and bad, but authentically her. I loved the overall mood of the book, and I’d love to read more about all of our main characters here, either together or even solo pov, I enjoyed them all so much! Perfect read for the upcoming season l, I personally hope this is the start of a series!

Crimson Faded is the vampire fantasy I didn’t know I was starving for. 🦇 From page one, I was hooked by Hazel’s quiet life unravelling into secrets, shadows, and supernatural danger — and then the Thorn family entered the picture, and I was gone.

This book has everything I love:
🦇 Vampires + hunters
🐈 Nerdy guy x black-cat energy
🏰 A gothic manor I would move into tomorrow (Thorn Manor = perfection)
💔 Messy friendships, family drama, and found family vibes
🔥 Slow-burn romance that had me kicking my feet

Hazel is such a relatable heroine, caught between family mysteries, tangled loyalties, and a gorgeously sweet slow-burn romance. Caleb is swoony, Lucas is broody perfection, and Ophelia is deliciously complicated — every scene with the Thorn family just worked. I’m obsessed, and I’d happily read an entire series about them.

And honestly? I am DESPERATE for a sequel. I need answers about Hazel’s parents, more Hazel + Caleb tension, and yes… I am fully rooting for Ophelia and Lucas.

If you love My Roommate Is a Vampire or The Addams Family, this book is 100% for you. Gothic, funny, a little spooky, and a lot of friendship and fun — the perfect read for autumn nights. 🖤
