ARC review. I do not want to give too much away about this book, but what I will say is this book has so much depth and emotion you will be feeling as though these two characters are your friends by the end of this book. The writing in this story is so beautiful and makes you think so much about what you would do if you were in this situation. This was such a good story and highly highly recommend when it comes out!

Britian Bell does a fantastic job in writing a really well done young adult romance novel, it had that feel that I was looking for and was invested in what was happening in this universe. It had that tragic element that I was looking for and enjoyed the overall romance element. The characters were wonderfully written and worked with the storyline being told. I was invested in what was happening and glad I got to read this.

She Saved Me is one of those stories that sinks its teeth in and refuses to let go. Britian Bell delivers a romance filled with real hurt, real healing, and characters who feel so human that you cannot help rooting for them. The connection between the leads grows in a way that feels honest, fragile, and incredibly powerful. Their journey is messy at times, but that is exactly what makes it believable.

The emotional beats land with force. Small moments carry deep meaning, and the quiet scenes often hit harder than the dramatic ones. Bell has a gift for writing wounded characters who find strength in each other without losing their individuality. The love story is tender and often heartbreaking, but it also shines with hope. By the time the final chapters arrive, you feel every step they have taken to get there.

This is a story about rescue, forgiveness, and the courage it takes to let someone in. It is raw, heartfelt, and deeply satisfying. A standout romance that stays with you long after the last page.

This story surprised me with how raw and human it felt. Drazik is a character you root for immediately: a grieving young artist whose creativity can’t quite drown out his loneliness. His decision to seek therapy is handled with honesty and compassion, and it sets the stage for a connection that’s as complicated as it is compelling.

Cali, a successful, self-contained business owner, is the perfect counterbalance. Strong, guarded, and terrified of crossing a line she’s never even approached before. Their secret trip to France adds a dreamy, cinematic quality to the story, but what really shines is the emotional push and pull between them. Their fears, his of falling too fast and hers of losing control, make every moment feel high-stakes and intensely personal.

The book explores trauma, vulnerability, and the courage it takes to risk love again, especially when the odds (and the age gap) seem so daunting. It’s heartfelt, sometimes heartbreaking, and ultimately hopeful.

A vivid, deeply felt romance about healing, boundaries, and the kind of love that lets you rebuild your life piece by piece.

ARC review:
I had no idea what to expect going into this book. I knew it was going to be an emotional one when I saw “tragic romance”.

This novel is split into two parts. Part I is the rise of the FMC and MMC’s relationship. The FMC, Cali (Calista) & the MMC, Drazik. There was a calm, wholesome atmosphere about how these two fell in love. At points it almost felt sterile and almost too thought out; it was very planned and didn’t seem natural. I wish it would’ve been more fluid in some way—possibly more romantic? Just felt stiff.

Part II is emotionally taxing. If you are sensitive to loss/grief then please be mindful before starting this book. With that being said, this book took a turn I didn’t see coming. Without giving too much away, the MMC is once again faced with the dilemma we’re introduced to in the beginning of the book.

It’s heart wrenching and has such a depth of emotion but also so wholesome and beautiful at the same time. The end is really heartwarming and comes full circle for Drazik.

I definitely recommend if you like the emotional depth of a story and need to read something that is hopeful with a beautiful ending.

I’d like to add that Britian writing is really eloquent and easy to read. This book is under 300 pages and is a great book to curl up with for the weekend to escape.
