The Truth Serum: Regency Historical Romance (My Lady's Potions Book 2)
By Katherine Lyons was such a delightful second chance romance my favorite kind of troop. I love in love with Rebecca and Nate story they will have to make a mends before they can think about a future together. I was rooting for these couple a happy ending.

“Flirty, dirty, and fun” is how the author describes the love story.
Certainly describes this second book in the series Love Potions.
Nate and Becca were childhood friends and sweethearts despite their families feuds.
A tragic event separates them but they encounter each other again ten years later.
Their feelings are still strong but they have many obstacles to overcome that will make a truth serum come in handy.
Enjoyed the connection to characters in the first book but it could be read as a standalone.

You will laugh. You will cry. You will get angry. You will get scared. And you will love this story. Verbally beaten down my her brother, Rebecca is doing her best to keep the peace while she tries to live her life her way. But is she really living? Nate is a scoundrel…or is he? These two were friends, even with a family feud, but when circumstances happened, they were split apart. This story shows how hearing the same lies for 10 years can skew your thinking, to the point of not believing your own heart. Mistrust follows and then separation and then you begin to wonder what is real and what is not. I loved how Rebecca decided to dig for the truth, instead of swallowing what she felt in her heart was wrong. I adored Nate’s unwillingness to give up on her( except for one very tearful scene-my tears, not theirs). I loved the Duke and his fiancé and their desire to see things done right. I laughed at the Baron…some of his scenes were hilarious and one where she basically wraps him around her finger was gratifying! I truly would love to have another story of these two following their desires to help where they are needed most. I didn’t want this story to end…it was that good. Some steamy scenes, no crass language (Thank you Author) , the off-book abuse and a story that will melt your heart.
