This was such a good coming of age book that I devoured it one sitting.
I love that it's told from Maisie's point of view. My heart really went out to this child. It can't be easy to face life's changes and problems like she did. I was so proud of her!
Of course having a friend like wise Walt and a cool Aunt Gertie helped until the secrets was out! The secrets are what kept me turning the pages to see what happened next! Oh my is all I'm gonna say!! This author sure knows how to make the bottom fall out!
I simply couldn't put it down!
5 stars for a job well done! I'm still thinking about this book and how Maisie learned to adjust what life threw at her.
