gotta love a bit of this story. this cover was also what drew me in. reminded me of summer nights we are quickly losing lol. that warm sunset on beaches or hanging with those you love... or could it be sunrise for these two?
volleyball and sun for our pair who have so many feelings fizzing between them it didn't feel contained within the pages!
Nia and Khahil had such a gorgeous story to get to know. i was rooting for them both and just wanted to scoop them both up and tell them to stop making me anxious of whether they might or might not be together.
Nia had me from the start. i could feel how she felt and relate so much to those inner thought swizzling round her head. i also, even though i have no idea about volleyball was cheering her on to win for her sport too. i liked the details of this part of the book and how i didn't feel over done with sport talk but nor did it leave too much of the game and what she loved out of it.
this is a story i breezed through. i not only wanted to see the sport results but also the results for our pair. because ex team- mates and ex partners now together? well the ball wasn't the only thing up in the air. a little charm, a little spice, a little love is what we needed from this book and it made me hang onto the warmth of the dwindling weather just that bit longer.
