Description
Nash is an intelligent man, tough but fair-minded. He has a wife and a daughter and a very high-level position at Sybaritic Investments, where his innate skills and dogged tenacity have carried him to the top of the pyramid in his business career. Despite never going on grand adventures, and always working too many hours, he has a happy and upscale life with his family.
However, following his estranged Vietnam-veteran father’s funeral, Nash is unexpectedly approached by the FBI in the middle of the night. They have an important request: become their inside man to expose an enterprise that is laundering large sums of money through Sybaritic. At the top of this illegal operation is Victoria Steers, an international criminal mastermind that the FBI has been trying to bring down for years.
Nash has little choice but to accept the FBI’s demands and try to bring Steers and her partners to justice. But when Steers discovers that Nash is working with the FBI, she turns the tables on him in a way he never could have contemplated. And that forces Nash to take the ultimate step both to survive and to take his revenge: He must become the exact opposite of who he has always been.
And even that may not be enough.

David Baldacci is an auto buy author for me. With Nash Falls he's introduced a new character, Walter Nash. This book has many twists and turns and ends on a cliffhanger. Walter Nash is such a complex character and the story has some really nasty villains which adds to the overall enjoyment.
The narration cast—MacLeod Andrews, Christine Lakin, Larry Herron, Shiromi Arserio, and Will Collyer—did an outstanding job bringing the story to life. Their performances, combined with top-notch production quality, made this an exceptional listening experience. The audio ARC included a brief intro to Hope Rising so now I'm counting down to April 2026 when it will be released.
Thank you to NetGalley & Hachette Audio | Grand Central Publishing for letting me read and listen to this ARC.
A MUST READ!
Walter Nash is an intelligent, tough but fair man with a high-level position at an investment organization. He leads a happy and upscale family life with his wife and daughter. After his estranged Vietnam veteran father’s funeral, he is approached by the FBI to become an inside man to expose money laundering between international criminal Victoria Steers and his organization. Reluctantly accepting, Nash is forced to turn against his principles when Steers discovers his betrayal. Nash’s best option is to adopt a radically new identity to survive and seek revenge—though even that may not be enough.
NASH FALLS is a breathtaking and memorable story full of suspense and intrigue. Walter Nash’s courageous character leads an entertaining cast of well-drawn and diverse characters. David Baldacci's writing is brilliantly plotted and expertly delivered.
I listened to the audiobook for NASH FALLS and loved all five of the narrators in the multicast. Their performance enhanced the story and was perfectly paced. Hearing their voices brought the story to life, making it feel all too real.
I cannot wait to read more about Walter Nash in the future. I think this is just the beginning of a beautiful friendship. Thank you to Netgalley for an advance copy of this audiobook. All opinions expressed here are my own.

Nash Falls was my first David Baldacci novel, and all I can say is — wow. From the very first chapter, this story had me hooked.
The book follows Walter Nash, a man seemingly living the dream: a great job, a loving family, and a comfortable life. But everything changes in an instant. After the sudden death of his father, Walter is approached by the FBI with a shocking proposition — help them take down his employer, a powerful figure involved in something far darker than Walter could have imagined.
What unfolds is a tense, high-stakes game where every choice could cost Walter everything — his fortune, his freedom, or even his life. As the investigation deepens, the story twists and turns relentlessly, each chapter upping the suspense until the explosive conclusion.
Baldacci’s writing is sharp and cinematic, pulling you right into Walter’s growing paranoia and fear. The pacing is perfect — fast enough to keep your heart racing but grounded enough to make you care deeply about the characters. I especially appreciated how the story explored morality, loyalty, and the price of doing the right thing when every option leads to loss.
I experienced the story through both the book and the audiobook, and the narration deserves special mention. The voice actor brought real depth and tension to the characters, making the danger and emotion feel completely authentic.
Overall, Nash Falls is a masterfully written thriller that’s impossible to put down. It’s a story full of danger, sacrifice, and unexpected revelations that will leave you breathless — and wanting more.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ — Five Stars for Nash Falls.
