Emma Olson is out of options after being wrongly terminated from her nursing position. As a last ditch effort before starting over as a grocery store bagger, she interviews with William Richardson, a well known computer geek, said to go through nurses like tissue paper.

William needs a live in nurse for his terminally ill Grandmother. He doesn’t think spitfire Emma Olson is the one for the job, but unfortunately, she’s the only one applying.

When Emma moves in, the combination of her sass and his sarcasm will either keep them apart or show them they might be fighting for the same thing.

This is a sassy short story that reminds us not to judge a book by its cover (no pun intended).
Take William Richard Richardson III, for instance. On paper, he sounds like you typical rich computer nerd who happens to need a live-in nurse for his grandmother. In real life....not so much.
When freshly fired RN Emma Olson applies for the position, she's aware of the rumours. The record for anyone holding the job is 1 week. With student loans, lawyer's fees & a lawsuit hanging over her head, she can't afford to be picky.
But when she's hired on a trial basis, it's not long before Emma realizes it's not grandma she should be worried about.

This is a quick, sexy read that shows what happens when a powerful man of certain tastes meets his match. At just over 40 pages, you don't have to wait long before the fireworks begin so pack it along on your next coffee break.

Also included is a sneak peak at the author's next full length book "Obscured".
He was her first kiss when she was 12. Years later, they bump into each other & let's just say they've chosen completely different career paths. Yikes!

Book Review: 4,5 stars

Tara Sue Me is one of my favorite authors. Her writing style is smooth, sexy, and very entertaining. Did I mention KINKY? Oh God yes! She writes super sexy kinky books and this short is definitely one kinky story.

And when I say short story I mean a really short story. At first I thought it was novella length short, but nope, it's shorter! It doesn’t matter though, because it is very cool!

This juicy little tale is about Emma Olson, a nurse who is looking for work. Her last chance is to take a job working for William Richard Richardson, III. Well, not for him directly–––but to take care of his elderly grandmother. And here's the trick about the job: no other nurse has lasted more than one week!

He was a third, which meant his father, William Richard Richardson, Jr., had not only lived with that name, but actually bestowed it upon his son. Rich people were funny. She tilted her head and wondered if anyone ever called either of them Willie Dick?

I really enjoyed this story, I recommend it to everyone who loves reading soft kinky romance! ;)

Adorably sweet and a little bit kinky, Cat mixes just the right amount of emotion with scorching sex in this scintillating short story!

Emma’s a quiet but fierce Nurse who is suddenly out of a job after a scandal in which she claims innocence and William needs her to care for his grandmother whose days are far fewer than he wishes.

While each of these needs are fulfilled, Emma pushes off any type of sexual advancement – she’s not sleeping her way through this job – and after accidentally witnessing William’s not quite vanilla tastes, she’s not entirely sure she wants to sample the menu.

I love a quick story that’s filled with hot sex and emotion. Tara Sue Me, who is writing as Cat Waters here, may have strayed from her Submissive Series, but she has not strayed from the dominance and heat she’s known for. This story has absolutely wet my appetite for more from Cat! 4.5 stars!

" You taste like sin"

Altered Allies by Tara Sue Me was really a short sweet yet seductively sexy read. A successful sexy computer geek and a hired nurse for his grandma was all it took for sparks of desire, lust, and passion to be ignited. In this book, readers will get a glimpse of a woman whose inhibitions get lost as her employer awakens a sexual desire in her to submit. So if you are looking for a quick sensual read, then Altered Allies is the book for you.

On the side note, I can't wait to read Obscured. Just reading the sneak peak chapters, I am so intrigued and can't wait for this sexy, dark erotic, romantic suspense thriller.

Altered Allies is a short story by Cat Waters, a known pseudonym of bestselling author Tara Sue Me. This is my very first read from Tara Sue Me, who just happens to be one of my youngest sister's favorite authors, and while this was a quickie read, it was one that was satisfying in terms of story line and main characters. Emma was feisty and upfront while William was a computer geek who had a proclivity for kinky sex. There's somewhat of a mutual interest but I certainly wouldn't label it an instant connection.

William came off as a tad obnoxious, especially when he was being sexually forward with Emma, but then there's another side to him that we clearly see when it comes to his grandmother. I think that Emma was a challenge of sorts because she wasn't the type to be ordered around, but her curiosity was more than enough for William to show her a thing or two. I would have want a deeper connection between them but I guess only so much can be done in a short story. Still, I enjoyed Altered Allies and am giving it four stars. ♥

A great deviation from her Submissive series. Emma is a tough as nails, honest and hard working woman who has been put in a bad situation. She is out of a job and needing one desperately. Her options are limited and so she turns to a home nursing position in which the nurses don’t seem to stay long. William is the geeky gorgeous nerd who is hiring. He isn’t what anyone expects in a nerd. He is a little cocky and a lot sexy. He does have this side to him that is sweet and kind and when it comes to Emma he is everything. Cocky, fun, sweet, kind, and sexy as sin.

They try to fight the attraction so that Emma doesn’t leave but in the end the Grandma turns those tides. She is hard on the nurses that won’t make a good mate for her grandson. With Emma she is a sweet lady. This has Emma believing that it’s her grandson who chases off the nurses. Little does she know what is hidden behind that geeky exterior. When she finds out it is harder than ever to fight her need to be with William but both do because she needs the job and he wants her to stay.

When they finally do come together it’s explosive, erotic and sexy. How he opens up in the end so that she feels wanted and loved is beautiful and shows the sweet, loving side of William.

This is a fun sweet and sexy book. We have the geek who seems arrogant and cocky but is really a nice guy who loves his grandma and wants her to be comfortable. The grandma who wants to find someone for her grandson before she goes and the nurse who needs the job and is fighting an attraction she doesn’t want. When the elements combine we get a book that has some fun snark, hot romance and a sweet ending that puts a smile on your face.

Fans of Tara Sue Me will enjoy this sexy short story.

Emma Olson is an out-of-work nurse who applies for a job with William Richard Richardson, III. William needs a nurse to take care of his ailing grandmother and has gone through a series of previous nurses quite quickly. Of course, Emma gets the job and sparks fly.

I think the author could have carried this a little further, but overall a great short story!

An extremely short read that surprisingly told a full story. Good work.

Emma needs a job and a place to live. She's applied to be a live-in nurse for William's grandmother, who can't seem to keep a nurse around longer than 10 days. William is a successful computer genius who owns his own business. He also has a kinky side that Emma is curious about but not curious enough to lose her job over. Grandma's health is deteriorating fast but she hangs on long enough to take care of one last thing.

This is a sweet sexy short. As it goes in short stories, things tend to happen fast. This is my first book by Tara Sue Me writing as Cat Waters and I look forward to more.

I have read Tara's Submissive Series and loved it so I just had to check out this story under Cat Waters. I was not disappointed and want more. Now.

Emma needs a chance and William needs to find a nurse his Grandmother will get along with, so this could work out perfectly. Except, there is more than one reason why William and his Grandmother went through so many nurses...

The trial weekend is confusing but William likes that Emma doesn't take his shit and his Grandmother enjoys her company. William also seems to enjoy her around but can he keeps his hands off her?

I thought it was a great short story. Emma doesn't just fall into William's lap and William respects her for it. I, so hope there is more to their story.

Quotes:

Rich people were funny. She tilted her head and wondered if anyone ever called either of them Willie Dick?

“Hypothetically speaking, I’m now very certain why you can’t keep decent help.”

“You taste like sin,” he murmured against her shoulder.

I am a forever fan of Tara Sue Me, and in true Tara fashion this short story was amazingly written and wonderfully laid out. It was hot and it was sexy. Emma and William had undeniable chemistry and the plot was touching with a twist of kink. I loved the dynamic between them and my only complaint was that I wanted more!! I'm hoping we get to see the future unravel for these two at some point as the author did exactly what she set out to do, whet my appetite for round two.

Oh... and I am currently looking for employment, is Mr. Richardson hiring for any other positions? I would like to apply and promise to be a star employee ;)

I loved this and absolutely recommend it!!
