Description
From bestselling LitRPG author Seth Ring—creator of the Titan and Battle Mage Farmer series—comes the next thrilling escapade in an epic series of alien contact, fast-paced military action, and superhuman adventure.
All things come to a head …
Former dishwasher turned soldier turned hunter Mark Fields now faces the biggest threat yet: himself.
Pursued by some of the strongest empowered in New Emery and taunted by the eerie prophet leading a mutant cult, all while trying to build a relationship—that’s a lot even for an almost superhero.
As his friends and allies are scattered, Mark must master his abilities, discover his true origin, and fight for his own survival—for the long-dreaded Exlian wave has broken at last, besieging the city.
On the brink of war, surrounded by enemies and divided loyalties, Mark must decide and embrace who he really is—alien monster? Elite soldier? Mutant savior? Exlian … or human?
His choice will shape the future of New Emery—and of humanity.

I have many questions about how we got here. The humanity portrayed is looking quite bleak. I'm intrigued to see how we move forward in this series with Mark and his gang.
Thank you Blackstone for the advanced e copy. Ring is popping these out and it's still not fast enough!

The next high octane step in Mark's , now hiding as Jonathan, journey into a deeper truth about Exilians, Humanity, and the reality of what the change has cost Humanity.
In this penultimate book, we *finally* start to get real, deep answers.
If you thought the cliff hanger in book 4 was a doozy? Book 5 has something special for you!
More Phoenix, More Noah, and more of everything, Book 5's brakes are just the up hill sections of the rollercoaster.
So throw your hands up, let out a WOO! and dive in.
Can't wait for book 6!

I can't get enough of this series and this book, like the others, was excellent. It is packed full of action and lots of storylines are being tied together. I especially love the interactions between Mime and Mark; their relationship is explained satisfactorily in this volume. Any future installment will be on my to read list.

An amazing continuation of the series. Seth Ring does not disappoint.
He weaves an amazing story, bringing everything that’s been set up from the first four books together. Everything clicks and hits just right.
I’m excited and scared for the next and final book as I’m not ready for the series to end.

Shattered Glory has got to be the best book in the series yet. The stakes are high and the action is non stop and never ending. From Marks escape from the lab in the prior book to a showdown with Maestro, to a city overrun. The action never relents. I absolutely loved this installment and how it sets up a massive ending. This series has quickly become one of my favorites and I hope it actually lasts longer than 6 books or gets a spin off following the events of book 6. This was such an easy and fun read, that had me glued at every stop.
Another fast past entry in the Exlian Syndrome series. Picks up right where we left off and moved us through Mark starting to develop new ways to gain powers. Seeing his power progression is always impressive but now we are learning more about why and how, as well as if others can learn like Mark. We are also building towards the finale and a big battle between sides with the humans, mutants and Exlian. I can't wait to see how this all wraps up!
I truly had no idea where Seth was going to take the story when I began book 5, and as the drama unfolded and unfolded more then unfolded MORE, I was continually shocked at the shenanigans Mark and his friends are getting into.
Mark continues to be awesome, but we get some epic battles FINALLY with the biggest monsters and names we've heard of up to this point!!! We see him a new proportion as he's compared more directly to others. We see more of the wilds!!!!! By the end, I'm feeling soooo invested in these characters and this world and I still have SO MANY questions--I'm so anxious for the rest of the series!!!!!
This is the first of the series that I read via e-book rather than audiobook, and that did rather color the reading experience a little different. The chapters end and begin often randomly, as if determined by length rather than a natural pause or cliffhanger. There are great big chunks of info, less dialogue than previous books. The narrator of the series does a good job bringing life to the characters, and I continued to hear his voice for them in my mind. Honestly, I should prob take away a star....but I still love the story so much.

Thankfully this book jumps right in where the last one left off! It is a non stop wild ride of action, fighting, and learning more about some of the plans people have for the city and the Exlians and sadly Mark is right in the middle of this. He has gotten stronger that those in power of noticed and either want to eliminate him or use them for their own plans. I could hardly catch my breath in worry for Mark and his friends!
Despite all the action with no time to stop and relax, I liked how now that Mark is back in the city, he has friends and allies who have his back, even if sometimes they get used as hostages to get Mark to cooperate. Joe, Noah, Phoenix, Sky, and Winter Wolf get their time to shine in this and they are totally awesome! And finally, there is the reveal and talk with Mime (love them!), learning more about why Mark is the way he is so that he can embrace his power fully to protect what he loves and to become the leader his is destined to be.
I had a blast reading this and the whole series is great! Many many thanks to NetGalley and Blackstone Publishing for giving me the chance to read this and experience the awesomeness of Mark and his friends as they work to save the city from the corrupt powers that want to destroy it all and the Exlian threat (though they don't seem quite as bad as some people!). I cannot wait to see what the culmination of this series will be!
