Description
Dr. Elliott Roth is at the height of his surgical career. The day before a long-awaited vacation in Mexico with his best friend, Jay Walsh, he saves a child’s life. But, while operating, a brief exchange later echoes in ways he can’t yet imagine.
Among an eclectic group of old friends and new acquaintances in Cabo, Elliott forms a bond with Vanessa, a woman quietly grieving a loss. As fresh connections grow and old betrayals simmer beneath the surface, past wounds collide with seemingly innocent desires, setting in motion a quiet unraveling. What begins as a week of rest spirals into something far more dangerous as attraction, memory, and deceit intertwine. Elliott must navigate the weight of damning accusations and confront his own failings before they destroy him.
The Rape of Elliott Roth is a haunting exploration of guilt, loyalty, and the cost of silence. It is a meditation on social injustice and the resilience required to survive violence—inflicted, endured, and ignored. In the end, readers are left to ask: Can certain wrongs ever truly be redeemed—and at what cost?

Advance Praise
"The Rape of Elliott Roth is an emotionally difficult story to process. It is part psychological thriller, part cautionary tale, and part moral inquiry. Much of it takes place at the messy boundaries between guilt and innocence, making it difficult to differentiate fact from fiction and determine who—if anyone—to trust." - Independent Book Review
"This wasn't an easy read for me; it made me think deeply about how society often fails to support men who are victims, and it also shows that even in our darkest moments, resilience and hope can be found." - Readers' Favorite
"A searing, cerebral debut exploring guilt, control, and the corruption of intimacy." - Kirkus Reviews
"The Rape of Elliott Roth is intricately plotted and populated by fully realized characters pulsing with real life. Elliott’s present and past lives are tautly a page turner par excellence filled with sufficient ambiguity to tease any seasoned reader." – Mel B. Yoken author of A History of Letters lll
"The Rape of Elliott Roth is a complex, emotionally charged novel that boldly tackles themes of guilt, consent, redemption, and moral ambiguity. In a narrative that oscillates between surgical precision and raw vulnerability, Adler delivers a slow-burning psychological drama, planting seeds of discomfort that grow into something far more destructive than the reader anticipates." – Charnjit Gill, author of Pray Tell
