Description

New York Times bestselling author Amy Daws delivers the epic, laugh-out-loud finale of the Mountain Men Matchmaker series: a grumpy sunshine sports romance about an Irish rugby bad boy and the family matchmaker who never saw her own love story coming. Perfect for fans of Hannah Grace, Meghan Quinn, and Tessa Bailey.

Rule #1 on the Everly Fletcher Matchmaking Manifesto…Never fall for your best friend’s grumpy brother.

Everly is the matchmaking mastermind of her family, but her own love life is a bit of a flop.

Back from four years in Dublin, she’s ready for a quiet summer on Fletcher Mountain helping launch her aunt’s animal rescue center—until Conri “Wolf” Reilly shows up.

Wolf is her college roommate’s infuriating twin brother. He’s brooding, Irish, and college rugby’s resident bad boy with thighs that could crack a watermelon.

His red card reputation has trashed his rugby prospects…until a training camp in Denver comes calling. As a favor, Everly reluctantly gets Wolf a place to stay if he volunteers at the rescue center.

Now Everly finds herself working and living next door to the Irish tattooed grump who treats her like a nuisance—but looks at her like he could press her up against a hay bale until they forget their own names.

Wolf swore he came to America to fix his image, not fall for his sister’s best friend, but the more time he spends with Everly, the harder it is to keep his distance.

Perhaps Everly’s in her bad boy era…or maybe Fletcher Mountain has its own matchmaking plans.

This book was the perfect ending to this series!

I was waiting for this book since I first met Everly. I was waiting to find out the love story of the matchmaker and this did not disappoint.

Everly has grown so much since I first met her. After making sure her family had their happy endings it’s time she finds her own. She doesn’t really want to find love but then there is a grumpy Irish rugby player. now all she has to do is not fall for her best friend’s brother while she is stuck working with him for the summer on Fletcher Mountain but that shouldn’t be hard right.

I loved Conri (Wolf) and his grumpy self. They are polar opposites and it was so funny especially in the beginning. He just wants to focus on rugby in Denver and eventually go back home and play with his twin sister Cliona. I loved his pov so much! Being in his head had me laughing and grinning. I loved watching him with the animals especially that alpaca.

I of course loved Rugby (the bearded dragon) he was the perfect addition to the mountain. The animals usually steal the show but this time the character to steal the show wasn’t an animal.

I absolutely adored seeing Stevie again and all her antics. That kid was a joy with her Nana (iykyk). She stole the show this time and while she might be 3 she knows what she is doing.

This book had me kicking my feet and giggling so much. These characters never disappoint in making me laugh.

I love the three overprotective uncles ready to protect Everly. She is still their little princess even though she is 22 now. Their reactions to finding out was not surprising and I couldn’t help but laugh.

Overall while I’m sad to see this series end I hope this isn’t the last time we see these characters. I loved getting to see all the characters again and see all their happy endings.

When I got the email saying I was approved for this arc I think it took 20 minutes before I went homework can be finished later I need to read this.

Thank NetGalley and Harlequin Trade Publishing for this arc!

Thank you NetGalley, Amy Daws, and Harlequin Trade Publishing for this eARC!

Oh this was SO GOOD. SO SO SO GOOD. 10/10. I didn’t want it to end!! It legit had me kicking my feet screaming. The callback to all the uncles?? Had me emotional. Conri barking at people to scare them after telling them about his name??? Cackling. And Stevie calling him nana!! Genuinely one of my favorite reads of 2026 so far. Which is wild considering how this series started because those early 2 star reviews were rough. But the redemption arc?? Immaculate. It ended on such a perfect note that I’m actually sad it’s over. I fear I’m a fan now and will be reading more of the authors books.

And now for some of my favorite parts:

“My cabin is closest to Everly’s, and I’d like to inform you that I’ve taken up birdwatching, so watching is all I do.”

“Even after you called me a cunt?” He inhales through his nose. “I did not call you a cunt.” “You called me cunt adjacent.” “That is not a thing.” “Feels like a thing.”

“…only to be stopped in my tracks by three brooding, scowling, angry-looking mountain men standing there waiting for me, like a bloody firing squad. Calder’s got his arms folded as he leans against the red barn. Wyatt’s holding an axe eerily like a murder weapon, and Luke . . . Christ, Luke has a mug of coffee in his hands like this is a casual Tuesday afternoon and not an ambush.”
