Will romance be the plot twist?
Emmy has an enemy, and his name is Luke. The good news? She rarely sees him. The bad news? When she does, she (and her pet dragons) are reminded just how handsome he is.
Besides, Emmy is too busy focusing on her dragon-fuelled business to have time for love. But when both she and Luke approach the same local investor for funding, she’s suddenly unable to avoid him. The kookie investor insists they must compete for the cash by working at the local failing baby dragon bookshop to prove their magical business knowledge.
Determined to win the funding, Emmy dives into the task. But making a very flammable bookshop fit for baby dragons is no small feat, and it seems these rivals may need to join forces. Could Luke and Emmy’s fiery animosity spark something more between them?

My Thoughts:
This was a cozy rival to lover romance, with a business competition, and bringing up old feelings and heartache. To begin with Emmeline and Luke have this raw chemistry that is so present in every line and gesture towards each other. I loved the banter Emmy and L
Luke had. it made me giggle so hard at so many points in the book. They go from rivals to lovers, it's instant and overnight and usually just because they find the other physically attractive. The Baby Dragon Bookshop is quick to read and utterly charming.

I loved this book because it was cute to read and fun as well. I love dragons so that’s another reason why I was excited to read this book. The characters were so cute together as a couple and they were very interesting. I highly recommend this book series. It’s the best book series ever.

The Baby Dragon Bookshop by A. T. Qureshi is a cozy, heartwarming fantasy that feels like a warm cup of tea on a rainy day. Set in a charming bookshop with just a touch of magic, the story blends found family, quiet courage, and the comfort of stories in a way that’s both gentle and enchanting. The writing is soft and immersive, perfect for readers who love low stakes fantasy with emotional depth rather than nonstop action. The characters are endearing and easy to root for, and the baby dragon adds a delightful layer of whimsy without overpowering the heart of the story. Themes of belonging, healing, and self discovery are woven naturally throughout, making it especially comforting to read. This book is ideal for fans of cozy fantasy, magical bookshops, and stories that prioritize atmosphere and warmth. It’s the kind of novel that leaves you feeling calm, content, and just a little more in love with books and magic. 🐉📚

Emmy and Luke are rivals and they are both owners of coffee companies, except Emmy's is run with dragons and Luke's with Chimeras. They are both trying to get funding from the same local investor and now they are competing to get the funding as well as adding a coffee shop to the local bookshop. They are forced to work in close proximity as they work on their pitches.
This book is super cute. I love all of the dragons and chimeras and how they are just integrated into society. This book also dealt with some complex family dynamics with added a layer of depth. I think if you are an oldest daughter or someone who feels the weight of family expectations you will really relate to the Emmy. I also love how sweet Luke is throughout the entire book.

The Baby Dragon Bookshop is such a cozy, heartwarming way to wrap up the series. It's about second chances, letting go of perfectionism and allowing yourself to be vulnerable, all wrapped up in a charming rivals-to-lovers romance.
Emmeline and Luke’s love story is full of banter, pranks, forced proximity in the bookshop and whimsical fantasy touches. The baby dragons add charming chaos as usual. The lovable characters, their emotional growth and path to realizing their feelings for each other all made this book a great series finale🐉✨

This checked off everything I look for in a book. Was not disappointed. Really enjoyed this book. I will read more from this author. Must read
If you loved the previous two books, you’ll adore this one as well. I absolutely loved the first two books in this series, and this installment delivers the same comforting charm. The Baby Dragon Bookshop by A. T. Qureshi is a wonderfully cozy, heartwarming fantasy that feels like a warm cup of tea on a rainy day. These books are perfect palate cleansers, full of good vibes and a soothing, calm atmosphere that makes them such a joy to read.
The story follows Emmy and Luke, rival coffee shop owners competing for funding from the same local investor. Emmy runs her business with the help of dragons, while Luke relies on chimeras, and their rivalry only intensifies when both propose adding a coffee shop to the beloved local bookshop. Forced to work in close proximity while developing their pitches, sparks fly as competition slowly gives way to connection.
Set in a charming bookshop with just a touch of magic, the story beautifully weaves together found family, quiet courage, and the comfort of stories. I especially loved learning more about the world. It felt richer and more immersive with every chapter.
This was a cozy and adorable read. Centered around a bookshop, Luke and Emmeline has to work together with forced proximity, tension and competitiveness with each other but also a second chance romance. Can’t wait to reread the first two books in the series. It didn’t disappoint.
Thank you to NetGalley for allowing me to read and share my thoughts.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ (5 stars)
This book is pure cozy fantasy magic — warm, whimsical, and wrapped in found family energy with a dragon-sized dose of charm.
Set inside a bookshop that doubles as a sanctuary for baby dragons, this story blends gentle fantasy with everyday struggles in a way that feels comforting and heartfelt. The FMC is doing her best to keep the shop afloat, care for creatures that are as chaotic as they are adorable, and figure out her own place in the world — all while magic (and feelings) complicate everything.
The vibes:
🐉 Baby dragons (yes, they are as cute as they sound)
📚 Cozy bookshop setting
✨ Low-stakes fantasy with emotional depth
🫶 Found family & healing
💛 Soft, comforting storytelling
What really worked for me was the atmosphere. The magic isn’t loud or flashy — it’s gentle and intentional. The dragons feel like living, breathing beings instead of gimmicks, and the emotional beats land quietly but effectively. This is the kind of book you read curled up with a blanket and a cup of something warm.
If you love cozy fantasy, magical realism, and stories that feel like a hug without sacrificing heart or meaning, The Baby Dragon Bookshop is an easy recommendation. I absolutely loved my time in this world and would happily go back.
Omg this series! It’s amazing! I love the dragons cute and messy at the same time I love it… I can’t wait to see what the author does next in this world..

I love the Baby Dragon series so I was excited to be able to read this early! All I can say is that is was by far my favoite (and thats saying a lot since I absolutely loved the first 2 books). I loved the cozy feel of this book and found it so heartwarming!
The Baby Dragon Bookshop is a whimsical, low-stakes hug of a novel. A. T. Qureshi pairs the cozy fantasy aesthetic with a classic workplace rom-com setup: Emmy and Luke must compete to renovate a failing (and flammable) bookshop to win funding from a quirky investor.
The cozy elements are 5-star perfection—the dragons steal every scene—but the romance takes a moment to ignite. The "enemies" phase relies heavily on frustrating miscommunication, but once the walls come down, the chemistry is undeniably sweet. It is the perfect quick read for a rainy afternoon.

This book was really the very definition of a cozy book! I thoroughly enjoyed it and loved the characters.
I received an advanced reader copy of this book via NetGalley.
Overall, loved how cozy this book and series continues to be. I related very hard with the FMC being a perfectionist who has the hardest time telling her friends and family “no” when she’s overworked.
I think there were too many new characters and siblings established in this book and at times, it was hard to keep track of everyone.
Other than that, 4/5 stars for being a fun and lighthearted cozy read that anyone, at anytime, could pick up and enjoy.

I didn't know this was the third in a series when I started reading. That being said, I'm now going to go back and read the first 2! This book was not at all earthshattering; just a fun and easy read.

The Baby Dragon Bookshop is pure joy from beginning to end. I absolutely loved learning more about these beloved characters and watching their stories unfold in such a beautiful, satisfying way. A. T. Qureshi continues to weave charm, humor, and heart into every page, creating a world that feels like coming home. Seeing the dragons and their friends find their happy endings was everything I hoped for—comforting, magical, and full of love. A perfect conclusion to a delightful series.

P.S.A. — Bring snacks or read in a coffee shop, budgeting for more than you would usually require. The food descriptions made my mouth water.
When the title is The Baby Dragon Bookshop, you know what you’re getting into right off — there will be baby dragons, there will be books, possibly romance, and likely a small town/cozy aesthetic. A. T. Qureshi delivers on all four.
Big sister/control-freak Emmeline takes care of everyone else, even at the cost of her own well-being and happiness…until her fairy godmother arrives in the form of a possible investor in her business.
Starshine Valley gives off perma-festival vibes with its seasonal activities and treats. The incorporation of dragons into daily life, work, and recreation is as consistent as it is charming. I have a particular weakness for pudgy baby dragons. The dialogue occasionally had a slightly generic feel, and in one instance, the narration confused the timeline. However, the character development was rich and layered. Emmeline could be a bit bratty, which I normally find irritating…but it made sense here and added a layer of realism.
I really enjoyed this plot — immaturity leading to misunderstandings, competition, personal growth, and second chances. The story was strong, well-written, and well-paced, carrying its theme with panache.
If you’re looking for some cozy with a surprising amount of emotional weight and baby dragons, The Baby Dragon Bookshop is for you. It’s delightful!

💭My Thoughts💭
I have enjoyed the first two books in this series, but I have to say that The Baby Dragon Bookshop might be my favorite. Although I love Saphira/Aiden and Lavinia/Theo; the story of Emmy and Luke drew me in a little more.
Emmy is in both the first two books, so her character is familiar to the reader. AndLuke is just barely introduced with the mention of being Emmy’s rival in passing. So, when I saw that this book was centered around the two of them, I thought “ohhhhh this is gonna be good.” I liked the banger between Luke and Emmy, and how they get under each other’s skin but in different ways (at least in the beginning).
The fierceness that Emmy cares for her friends and family is something that makes her such strong character, but also her biggest “flaw”. Throughout the book I enjoyed how Emmy really figured out more about herself and what she wants out of her life. Luke on the other hand also cares extremely for those he cares about, but he’s more sure of himself and what he wants out of his life. Watching the evolution of Emmy figuring out she might have Luke all wrong was heartwarming and made me smile.
I really enjoyed this book. If it is the end of the series it would be a good ending; but I’m also kind of hoping the Ginny will end of getting her own novel. I feel like there could be a lot of adventure to wrap up the series with a dive into Ginny’s storyline.
I would recommend this book and this series.

So cute! Real rivals! Loved this book so much!
Emmeline and Luke were approached with a business proposition to join businesses but their past made them hate that idea and so they were competing for the same funding.
The were forced to interact and that brought back all the memories and the feels and I love how realistically those complex emotions were conveyed. You can be mad, feel bad, and hate someones gut at the same time while wishing you didn't haha
I honestly think Luke fell first but it was cute to see them go from fighting to fighting for each other 🥰
I also loved how protective they were of their loved ones & how in turn their pets were protective of them. This book showed that strong bond between animals and people and how they sense our emotions and act. Maybe not the best moments but I still how fiercely they protected their people 🥹
This was such a fun read, with deep moments, self reflection, animal cuteness and all the yearning. 5 stars for me 🤩

I love this series so much! Luke and Emmeline's story has been a while in the making, seeing glimpses of their rivalry through the other books. This enemies to lovers is so rich in history and backstory between these two, and the bookshop setting is so much fun! I loved getting updates on other characters, and, as always, the book was rich with the author's culture and tradition
So excited and grateful to have an arc of this highly anticipated book! Thank you NetGalley @HarperCollins360 for allowing me to read this arc! Needless to say to say I binged this book today… I adore this world and these characters and can’t forget the dragons/ chimeras! Absolutely a cute, cozy fantasy series you can dive into and disassociate (my fav) for awhile. Predictably sweet with low stakes and fun characters to follow!
Hands down my favorite book of the series. I had so much fun reading this one. It combines two of my favorites. Coffee shops and books. I even loved the bookstore name. There is talk of more dragons in this one and even some riding dragons scenes. Absolutely adored this one and I’m honestly super sad to see it end !!!

My thoughts:
This was such a cute and easy read for me. I did not read the first two as I didn't realise this was part of a series when I picked it up. That being said, I like that I didn't need the others and this was a good standalone book. The nods to other characters did make me want to check out the other books in the series. The pacing was great and the story was super relaxed and cute. The main characters had grear banter. I love a good mutual pining between rivals storyline.
Thank you to Netgalley, Harper Collins, and A.T. Qureshi for the eARC opportunity.

It felt so good to be back in Starshine Valley! The setting is the absolute cutest, it feels so sweet and cozy and I always have the best time reading these books. This one made me crave all the tasty desserts and karak chai in particular. Emmeline has some issues with her family which were very recognizable for me, and it was so good to read she was dealing with it in such a good way eventually. Luke is so sweet as well! They are so cute together. I adored this book! Such an incredible read for a cold winter day.

I would like to thank both Aamna and Netgalley for this advanced reader copy. Being able to provide my honest feedback is such an honor.
The Baby Dragon Bookshop is the perfect cozy romantasy book. While there were parts of the book that became a bit confusing based on the actual storyline, Aamna did make it up with the main characters Emmy and Luke. I truly loved the enemy to lovers banter and it was incredible well written.
The atmosphere was the perfect mix of cozy, romance (low spice), and fantasy aspects. I loved being curled up with a cup of chai while reading this book.
This is a fun, light fantasy romance with lots of charm. The rivalry between Emmy and Luke is playful, and their banter is entertaining. The baby dragon bookshop is adorable and adds a cozy, magical feel. The romance is sweet, easy to follow, and full of fun moments. A cute, feel-good read with a magical twist. 🐉✨
I love friends to lovers and I enjoyed The Baby Dragon Cafe & The Baby Dragon Bakery so as soon as I saw this I knew I needed to request an ARC - thank you Harper 360!
Rivals to lovers - we have Emmy constantly does everything to make for everyone else happy, but who takes care of her? And we have Luke who works hard, takes care of his family, and had his heart broken by Emmy years ago but never stopped wanting her. Pitted against each other in with their similar business ventures when an investment opportunity presents itself - are these two heading for a major clashing or will their walls come crashing down? As with the other books, some parts of the characters internal thoughts or general personality traits called out by other characters were repetitive but overall this is a cute, quick, cozy read. I really enjoyed Luke and Emmy's story - the highlight really being Luke's mom and brother and their interactions with Emmy. The light fantasy elements thanks to the dragons is always a bright spot in these books but I am so happy we got more of the Chimeras! 3.5 stars!
Very cute light hearted cozy romcom! Watching Emmeline progress through the book as a sister, a friend and a person was beautiful. Luke was such a love and really showed when he loves he loves hard. The real star of the book is Motu and you will not change my mind about that cute baby dragon!

How grateful am I to have received this ARC - thank you! I have this with every book in this series, but this one may be my new favorite. I loved finally getting to see Emmy and Luke fall in love and their typical playful banter. What an incredible ending to a stunning Romantasy series!

Amazing book. I couldn't stop reading I stayed up all night. I loved the book so much thank you for the arc.
An endearing romance with the most precious side characters, baby dragons and chimera!
Emmeline is the eldest daughter with all the typical traits. Loyal and the care taker to everyone she cares for to her own expense. Her business is succeeding and the next step is to expand. But what happens when her business rival is also up for the same investment? What if he is the same man that was the target of revenge after he broke up with her sister?
Can Luke and Emmeline clear up their past? Can Emmeline learn to allow others to take care of her?
Best of the book series. Just the right amount of fantasy and romance. The drama and banter made the eventual romance between the two main characters so much better when it actually took place. Also there was a great comedic factor. The introduction to chimeras was well timed and fun to read. Can’t wait to see what else this author has in store for the rest of this series.

Baby Dragon Bookshop is an excellent book in the cozy category. I thought I couldn't like anything more than Café, but this one was perfect for me. The story of Emmeline and Luke is a sweet and mature rivals to lovers while being very low stakes. I loved that Motu was a focus in the book and felt like it was just the right amount of baby dragon content. The ending left me feeling all warm and fuzzy and just a little bit teary eyed. I absolutely recommend this one for anyone looking for a great cozy fantasy romance.

I adore this series as the characters are adorable, quaint and relatable. The small element of fantasy through the use of mythical animals like dragons and chimera add to the freshness of this series. In this book, I loved the bookshop setting and the troupes in it were so on point.
First of all am so grateful for the opportunity to review this Arc before its release date on February 3rd and i absolutely enjoyed every moment of it.This book is the third installment in “The Baby Dragon” series, but each story stands completely on its own. Even though i haven’t read books one or two yet, there was more than enough context provided to fully understand and enjoy this story without ever feeling lost. The Baby Dragon Bookshop was pure cozy perfection, From the very first pages, it wrapped me up in a warm, romantic atmosphere that made it impossible to put down, i am a huge fan of the enemies to lover’s trope, and this story delivered it beautifully, with just the right balance of tension, banter, and slow burning romance. I also deeply connected with Emmy the FMC. As s big sister myself, i saw so much of my own experience reflected in her. The weight of expectations, specifically from parents, and feeling like you always have to be the responsible one, can be incredibly overwhelming. The pressure to take care of everyone else while forgetting to take care of yourself felt very real, and it made her journey even more meaningful to me. And can we talk about the baby dragons and chimeras? Absolutely adorable. Their presence added so much warmth and whimsy to the story. Tiny dragons paired with bookstore setting is already a winning combination to me but adding a heartfelt romance on top of that made it feel truly special. If you love cozy vibes, small town bookstore romance, enemies to lovers, and stories that understand the emotional weight of being “the strong one”, this book is an absolute must read. It made my heart happy.
The Baby Dragon Bookshop by A.T. Qureshi is the third book in this adorable Hallmark-but-make-it-fantasy town, now featuring baby dragons (which honestly should be mandatory). I’ve read book one but skipped book two, and I was pleasantly surprised by how easy it was to settle in. I wasn’t lost, I remembered most of the characters, and it works well enough as a standalone, though having the earlier books as emotional scaffolding wouldn’t hurt.
I received an eARC from Avon books and NetGalley in exchange for my honest review, and I was genuinely excited to sneak back into this world.
Story-wise, we’re talking enemies to lovers, but make it cozy. This is a low-stakes romance that feels like a warm mug of chai on a cold day. There are thoughtful nods to other cultures, gentle tension, and absolutely no emotional devastation, which I deeply respect. Add in cute baby dragons and a charming small town feel, and yes, I would like to move here immediately.
This book knows exactly what it is and does not try to stress you out.
3.75 stars - Cozy romance with light fantasy vibes. Perfect for romance lovers, dragon enthusiasts, and anyone looking for a comforting read on a rainy day or the first snowfall of the year.

This is a very sweet installation in the Baby Dragon world. These books are so easy and fun to consume. They provide great simple escapism. I do find that they lack some of the depth I often look for in cozy fantasy now that I have read so many of them, but that isn’t necessarily a problem because sometimes you need a book that doesn’t require as much effort to read and follow. At this point in the series we have done , and friends to lovers, so be prepared that this is enemies to lovers which feels a little out of left field for the nature of this town.
I think these stories can each be read as a standalone, but I think you will get more out of the experiences if you read them in order starting with The Baby Dragon Cafe.
If you tried the first book when it first came out and are on the fence about continuing, I believe the second and third installation were definitely worth my time.
Thank you so much to NetGalley for the arc.
Such a great finish to a great series love that this one incorporated a bookshop. I highly recommend this series!
Thank you to the publisher and NetGalley for an Arc of The Baby Dragon Bookshop by Aamna Qureshi.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 4/5 Stars
The Baby Dragon Bookshop is an enemies/rivals to lovers, depending on how you look at Emmeline’s and Luke’s relationship, low fantasy story. Every one of their moments together is full of life and makes you want to scroll to the next page.
I didn’t like how much time we get with Millie. I didn’t read the first two books, jumping straight into Emmeline’s story, but I just didn’t care about Millie the whole time. The first hundred pages felt more about her new baby than Emmeline and Luke.
After page 100, I was locked in. That was when the story really begins for me. The beginning was set up and then we got the fun and games I was so excited for. Both Emmeline and Luke are frustratingly fun, and you can see both perspectives the whole time despite wanting them just to talk.
This book is low spice, just as it’s marketed!
I loved this book, and will be reading more from this author.
Thank you A. T. Qureshi, Avon Books and Netgalley for the ARC.
I cannot believe this series is already over and I am honestly a little emotional about it. The Baby Dragon Bookshop is such a warm, charming, cozy finale that feels like a hug and a gentle ache all at once. From the very beginning of the trilogy, the tension between Emmy and Luke has been simmering in the background, so finally getting their story felt incredibly rewarding.
Their dynamic is messy and playful and full of banter. They genuinely annoy each other at first, pulling pranks and clashing at every turn, and I loved how real that animosity felt. The dual POV adds so much depth, especially when you realize just how much Luke admires and quietly yearns for Emmy even while she is busy scolding him. Watching that rivalry soften into care and then into something deeper was done with such lovely pacing and intention.
Emmy really stood out to me as a character. She is confident, capable and endlessly giving, often to her own detriment. I saw so much of that people pleasing instinct in her and it made her journey hit close to home. Luke starts off cocky and infuriating, but once the layers peel back he is all heart and responsibility, doing his best for the people he loves. Their growth individually and together was one of my favorite parts of the book.
AT Qureshi has created something truly special here. A failing bookshop full of baby dragons should not work as well as it does, yet I could practically smell the books and feel the warmth of dragon fire curling through the pages. The dragons and magical creatures add so much personality and joy and seeing familiar faces from earlier books thriving was incredibly satisfying.
While the ending felt a little softer and more rushed than I expected, it was still a sweet and fitting conclusion to such a feel good series. The Baby Dragon Bookshop is cozy romance at its best, full of magic, found family, gentle angst and heartfelt moments. I am going to miss this world so much and I am already counting down the days to the spin off.

“Baby Dragon Bookshop” was a very cute and sweet feel-good book. I had a smile on my face a majority of the time and was sad when it was over.
I loved the baby dragons and how they often acted like toddlers; getting into mischief and trouble. They were so affectionate and cute. I want to go live in this world.
The relationship between Emmy and Luke is so much fun. They have great banter and it’s such a cute romantic story.
Overall, I highly recommend this book as an easy relaxing cozy fantasy.

If you like, small town, rivals to lovers, bookshop meet cute & baby dragons you’ll LOVE this book. The story was so fun! I was happy to finally get around to reading a book from this series. I will forsure go and read the others. This was a rival to lovers which is my favorite trope. Both of the MCs were extremely likable as well as all the side characters. It was a bit of a “slow burn” which was perfect since there was no third act break up! Emmy & Luke’s original meet cute was adorable. I cannot wait to read the rest of this series as well as more from A. T. Qureshi!
I read this in a day. Emmaline and Luke’s story is so addictive. I loved how they had to work past previous ideas of each other AND how I was challenged in my own life about taking on too much when caring for those I love.

This entire series has me wrapped honestly! This one was no different. I read this in one sitting and loved every minute. The back and forth between Emmy and Luke leading up to their “moment” was everything. I highly recommend anything by A.T Qureshi!
This book felt like a warm hug wrapped in dragon smoke and book dust—and I adored every second of it. The Baby Dragon Bookshop is sweet, charming, and completely delightful in the truest sense of the word.
Emmy is such an easy FMC to root for: driven, creative, and fiercely devoted to her dragon-fueled business (and her adorable, chaotic pets). Her rivalry with Luke had me smiling from the very first interaction—snarky, charged, and absolutely brimming with that enemies-to-lovers tension I can never resist. The fact that neither of them is immune to noticing how attractive the other is just makes it even better.
The baby dragon bookshop itself? Pure magic. Watching Emmy and Luke navigate flammable books, mischievous dragons, and forced proximity was endlessly entertaining, and the small-town charm made everything feel cozy and grounded. I loved how the competition slowly turned into teamwork—and how that teamwork softened their rivalry into something tender and genuine.
This is a low-spice, high-heart romance that leans into warmth, whimsy, and emotional payoff. If you love bookshops, magical businesses, grumpy/sunshine energy, and romances that feel comforting and joyful, this one belongs at the top of your TBR.
I can't believe how fast I read this. I inhaled this book on a plane and just was rapped. Talk about not caring what is around you cause you're too busy LIVING for this rival to lover romance in the cutest little town with all the baby dragons. This is the third book in the series and every single time I've just eaten them alive. It's just the right mix of spice and cozy and I can't wait to see if we get more in this world! <3

Baby Dragon Bookshop is such a cozy, whimsical read that feels like curling up with a warm drink on a rainy day. The setting is charming and magical, with a bookshop you can’t help but wish you could step into, and the baby dragon element adds an extra layer of sweetness and fun. The characters are easy to like, and the story has a gentle, comforting vibe that makes it a great escape when you want something light and heartwarming.
While I truly enjoyed the world and the overall story, there were moments where I wished certain scenes or character arcs had been explored a bit more deeply. Even so, this was a delightful read that left me smiling and wanting to spend more time in this world. A solid four-star book for anyone who loves cozy fantasy, books about books, and a touch of magic. 🐉📚
This was such a cozy, easy read. I picked it up for the baby dragons and the bookshop setting, and honestly, they were the best part. The dragons were adorable and added a lot of charm without feeling cheesy.
The romance was a slow burn and took its time, which I liked. The enemies-to-lovers vibe was fun, even if there were a few moments where I wanted the characters to just communicate better. The pacing wasn’t perfect and there were parts that felt a little repetitive, but nothing that made me want to stop reading.
Overall, this is a solid cozy fantasy with a cute premise, light romance, and comforting vibes. If you’re looking for something low-stress, warm, and easy to get through, this one fits the bill.

Welcome to Starshine Valley, where you can enjoy life, whether it be on main street, in the hills, or down by the lake. One thing is for certain, and that is you will encounter mythical creatures living side by side with their human companions. Grab a cup of coffee and head back as we follow our characters and navigate their lives while adding adorable creatures into the mix in AT Qureshi's The Baby Dragon Bookstore.
Emmeline Sterling and Luke Hayward have been rivals since college. Does it help that years later, they both have competing businesses centered on very similar concepts: using a mythical creature's fire to roast coffee beans and distribute them to different businesses throughout Starshine Valley, with her using a dragon and he a chimera. Does it also help that they're both coming up with proposals to have a bookstore be their next place of business? No, but it does add to the lovely tension and banter that these two characters have with each other throughout the story. Unlike the other two stories in the series, these two characters did have a relationship, a very brief one built on revenge. Ever since that one night, they've been at each other's throats, but every once in a while, they each look back to that night, wondering about the connection they had.
Like the other stories, while the main focus is watching these two compete against the other, we also get a glimpse into what makes each character tick. This story highlights what it means to be an eldest child, and the responsibilities they take on, regardless of how much it weighs them down. Emmeline is a busy woman running her business, yet she takes on more responsibility helping care for her younger brother's baby dragon, or making sure her family eats and takes care of themselves. She is being pulled in all directions that she has no time for herself, or how to say no every once in a while. The person who does through her facade is her enemy: Luke. The one person she despises can see right through her. Luke needs this business proposal to go through; everything in his life depends on it. Without it, he's unsure what he's going to do, and what's going to happen to his family if he isn't chosen. Both of these characters have so much in common with each other, even other characters can see it, but their rivalry has made it difficult for them to see their connection to the point they don't even know why they fight each other.
What I loved about this story was that this was a love letter to readers and their love for books. Half of what made this an enchanting read was knowing that part of the storyline takes place in a bookstore. The feeling you get when you walk into a bookstore, and wander around perusing, aisle by aisle. The feeling you get when you can't wait in anticipation of what new story you'll dive into. The feeling of having a book in your hand, getting lost in a story for hours while sitting in a cozy chair as life passes by. Whether you're a person who reads one book at a time, multiple at the same time, rereading the same story over, and or letting your books pile higher and higher, it all boils down to love.
Everything starts with a book. Stories have a way of making you feel so many emotions at once that you don't know what to do with yourself, yet by the end of the story, you always go back. There is a comfort in knowing, yet we also throw ourselves into the unfamiliar, like life. Of all the books in this series, this was by far my most favorite. The connection between Emmeline and Luke was a fun ride, especially since they were so wrapped up in their competition with one another that they didn't see the connection they had with each other. As a fan of love, and a fan of books, it made this reader glad to pick it up.
I received an advance reader copy of this book from AT Qureshi and Harper360 via NetGalley for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily. My intentions are to write feedback that reflects my genuine thoughts and is written with the book’s genre and target audience in mind. I aim to review fairly and respectfully, focusing on the story’s purpose.
Such a very beautiful book and a cute read. Loving the series of these books and warmth it gives. Definitely recommend to read

Thank you NetGalley, Harper 360 & A. t. Qureshi for the eARC of The Baby Dragon Bookshop.
I loved following the story of Emmeline & Luke, specially because it reminds us how misunderstandings could be the reason why we hold grudges for no reason. I loved how they both were forced to work together, which led to them talking things over, remembering how things truly happened, and how their spark was still there. I also loved how great Luke complemented Emmeline, and how, thanks to him, she started standing up for herself and putting herself first.
The Baby Dragon Bookshop is my first step into The Baby Dragon series and it's been such a warm and welcoming stay! This is a cozy fantasy (cozy contemporary fantasy mayhaps I should say!) that will have you wanting to curl up with a warm mug of tea and blanket and immerse yourself in a world full of the cutest baby dragons. And a world where two people at odds might just find their one time romantic entanglement is not so much a thing of the past.
This is the story of Emmeline and Luke. Years ago Luke broke the heart of Emmy's sister, and so Emmy returned the favor. Playing at romance with Luke who went in thinking what they had was real. Years later, Emmy's sister past heartbreak has been firmly left in the past but what happened between Emmy and Luke has kept its embers still burning between them even as they try their best to pretend otherwise. Throw in forced proximity thanks to competing for a business investment, and suddenly those embers are on the brink of turning into wildfire.
It took me a bit longer than expected to engage fully with this story. It initially did not click, but then...it did. It really did click and what began as a feeling of uncertainty took firm assurance as I came to love Emmeline, Luke, and the whole cast of vibrant characters. While this book can absolutely be read as standalone, as the central romance begins and ends within its page, I do feel I missed out in experiencing the whole universe by not reading the first two books. But now I want to! I really want to thanks to this work.
I enjoyed the romance between Emmeline and Luke! There is so much miscommunication that started years ago between these two. Originally I was frustrated with Emmy not listening to Luke, then I turned that frustration to Luke when he took far too long to explain his despairing anger at someone who was trying to get close to Emmy. And then I realized...gods, they're just like me, ha! They have the same character flaws as so many of us, and in a world of dragons and chimera, I love how this vulnerability reflects our own humanity. We may stumble in our mistakes, but as long we grow as people, we'll come to learn better for the inevitable next times. And that's exactly what Emmy and Luke accomplish. Once they clear the lines of communication, the sweetest romance begins. I had a smile on my face watching them finally, finally meet halfway and learn to embrace each other. Because together they shine so beautifully and work terrifically together.
And I did also really enjoy both individual arcs, but most especially Emmeline's. I sympathized with Emmeline's need for control and precision in life. She is the dependable sibling and daughter, the one who cleans up messes, organizes events, and tempers down chaos. But one of the best lessons she learns throughout this course is letting go (in proper measure!) the responsibility turned burden. To not overthink every step taken. To not question good things headed her way, but to welcome them with a warm embrace. Even when they were at odds, Luke could see the weight being placed on Emmy's shoulders and encouraged her to prioritize herself. To sometimes choose herself and not always others. And she learned to take that heart and to put it to use in her life. It's a personal moment of triumph I loved to see develop.
Overall, this is a cute, comforting read! I leave it wanting to know its world better by reading the other books. So I aim to do just that!

Another delightful story from A.T. Qureshi. Her books are honestly like a warm hug. This one gives us a sorta enemies to lovers in Emmy and Luke. Of course there are adorable dragons to round out the story.
If your ideal read involves adorable baby dragons, a quirky small town, and a slow‑burn romance wrapped up in cozy fantasy vibes, The Baby Dragon Bookshop might just be your next favorite escape. Set in the charming Starshine Valley, this third book in the Baby Dragon series blends whimsy, warmth, and a rivalry‑turned‑something‑more between two stubborn entrepreneurs. The plot centers on Emmeline (“Emmy”), a determined small‑business owner obsessed with her dragon‑filled endeavors, and her long‑standing rival Luke, whose own business goals keep tangling with hers. When a local investor offers funding — but only if they prove themselves by partnering in the sleepy town’s struggling baby dragon bookshop — these two infuriatingly attractive rivals must spend more time together than either of them expected. As sparks fly (sometimes literally) and tensions simmer, their supposed rivalry begins to blur into something much more complicated.eyond the central romance, the story celebrates community, collective effort, and quirky friendships — a big part of why fans of cozy fantasy tend to come back for more. It has all the warm and fuzzy feelings that Gilmore Girls has with its small town charm.

Overall, this was a cute and cozy read. At times it bordered on being a little too cute for my personal taste, but that feels more like a personal preference than an issue with the story itself. The book clearly knows what it wants to be and delivers on that promise.
I really enjoyed the main characters and their chemistry, which made the story more engaging. The cozy atmosphere, bookish setting, and gentle tone make this an easy, comforting read. Especially for fans of low stakes fantasy.
This is the kind of book you pick up when you want something charming and relaxing rather then something intense.
Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for the ARC in exchange for an honest review.
This was so fucking cozy and I liked how this developed, like how they started to get close to each other. Like this man is just a dream.
I absolutely love these books, they are such a nice cozy read from the succor got open the book. I love anything gangstas so the baby dragons in these books make me so happy. Like, who wouldn't wish they could hang out with one?!
I received an ARC of this book thanks to the publisher through NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.
This was a super cute slow burn romance. I liked the characters and the story. I was not a fan of the writing itself, it just wasn’t the style for me, but the book was so good I needed to keep reading it.
Thank you Netgalley and Avon for an arc of this book.
I fell in love with this series last year when I read The Baby Dragon Café, and I am loving how this series has turned into not only the Café, but also and Bakery and and a Bookshop. Best part ever.
Emmy is so focused on working at the Baby Dragon Bookshop and making sure those Baby dragons do t set all the books aflame, she rarely notices her rival enemy Luke, who is also incredibly handsome.
I loved how cozy this book was and I loved every single trope. I would recommend this book over and over again
Everything you would want from a cozy fantasy romance; warm, charming, and full of heart. The story focuses on adversaries forced to work side by side in a struggling bookshop sets the stage for a perfectly paced enemies-to-lovers romance. The dual POV adds depth to their relationship, making the emotional shift from frustration to affection feel natural and earned. Emmy’s journey adds a relatable layer of growth and self-discovery. This story is pure comfort - Highly recommend!

The Baby Dragon Bookshop is a cozy, whimsical fantasy romance about Emmy, a dragon loving entrepreneur forced to work with her handsome rival Luke to save a struggling baby dragon bookshop.
The small town setting, playful enemies-to-lovers tension, and adorable baby dragons make the story feel warm, magical, and easy to get lost in.
I loved how sweet and lighthearted it is while still showing character growth and genuine chemistry.
It’s the kind of feel good read that leaves you smiling… full of charm, gentle romance, and just the right touch of magic.

Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for the advance reader's copy of the book. I have to say that this one was my favorite of the series. This was also a fast and cozy read like the previous ones. As an oldest child, I could relate to the main female character quite easily. The main male character was also interesting. I also love a good enemies to lovers story and this one does it well. Overall, I think this was the best entry of the series.

I will preface this by saying I have not read the rest of the series, but I don't think it's necessary to keep up with everything. The only downside is missing out on the excitement of seeing your favorites from the previous books make cameos. That said, I enjoyed this one enough I plan to check out the rest.
I'm not the biggest fan of romance, but I kept seeing the cute baby dragons and thought I'd give it a try. The tension between Emmeline and Luke is certainly engaging. However, I do feel the length of their rivalry is a bit ridiculous. If they'd actually had a discussion before, they might not have hated each other as long. I say "hate" though it's obvious that's just an excuse not to acknowledge their feelings for each other. They've had crushes on each other pretty much the entire time, so it's no surprise it's mostly smooth sailing when they figure out how to communicate better.
I will also say this book desperately needs more editing (hopefully the published version will be better). And there are times where things are repetitive, especially in regards to how attractive they find each other and pushing the point of their characteristics.
Overall, I enjoyed it more than I thought. The baby dragons are definitely a selling point too. It's a great quick, cozy read!
A.T. Qureshi does it again. My local B&N released the book 2 weeks before it was scheduled to be published so I was able to get my hands on a physical copy. Vibes? COZY. Cuteness? THROUGH THE ROOF. My favorite out of the 3 books in the series so far. I finished the book in one night. The atmosphere is so, so cozy. I would describe the feeling as stepping into your favorite bookstore or curling up with a warm cup of tea or coffee on a cold winter night and the fire is crackling nearby. A huge thank you to NetGalley for allowing me an ARC.

Another cute and cozy romance with dragons and chimeras!!
I like the continuation with characters from the first two books! This story follows Emmeline where she learns to let loose and allow others to take care of her! Coffee and Bookshops! Oh and enemies to lovers!!! Yes, please!!

Thank you #NetGalley and #Harper360 #Avon publishers for an eARC of the Third book in AamnaQureshi's Baby Dragon Series, "The Baby Dragon Bookshop."
It's sweet and adorable just like the first two books, it's lovers-to-rivals-to-... well, just read it! There's a little bit of jealousy sprinkled in, baby dragons and chimeras, and the Dragon racing gang continues to be a plot point in the story. The other characters from the series make appearances and their lives and stories continue on.
If you liked Laurie Gilmore's Dream Harbor series, Travis Baldree's Legends & Lattes, or Sarah Beth Durst's The Spellshop, I think you'll enjoy this cozy romantasy series.
The Baby Dragon Bookshop is a cute sweetly fluffy lovers-to-enemies-to-lovers romantasy by A.T. Qureshi, and the third book in the loosely connected series. Released 10th Feb 2026 by HarperCollins on their Avon imprint, it's 352 pages and is available in paperback, audio, and ebook formats. It's worth noting that the ebook format has a handy interactive table of contents as well as interactive links and references throughout.
Very cute, very fluffy, with a very YA vibe. Lots of heartfelt drama and a nice (fluffy) ending. This volume is back to being absolutely stuffed full of adorable baby dragons compared to the relative dearth in the second book. This book has some returning cast, but the plot centers around a different couple and different setting.
Three and a half stars. It would make a good choice for public library acquisition, or a short binge/buddy/beach read.
Disclosure: I received an ARC at no cost from the author/publisher for review purposes.
Thank you NetGalley and Avon books for this adorable ARC. I read the first book from the series and I gave it a five star and the second book. I will also give a five star too. These books are fantastic. They’re adorable. They’re sweet. I love the characters. They have depth and relatability. I love that there’s dragons mixed into it. They gave an extra magical twist to the entire story. I love books that are set within bookshops and with small town vibes. The enemies to lovers between the two main characters is perfect.. I love how they have to work together and they find themselves. It was so cute. I hope there’s another book in the series! . I will definitely read it.!

After reading the first two books in the series I was excited to read the story of Emmeline and Luke and it did not disappoint. The characters were relatable and I loved all the dragons and chimeras. This was a perfect cozy read that kept the tension high between two characters who absolutely despise each other—or do they?
The storyline is a classic ‘enemies to lovers’ arc. The ending is predictable but still heartwarming and satisfying.

Here’s a toned‑down, still‑casual version—friendly without leaning too hard into Gen‑X vibes:
This was just a really fun, feel‑good read. Emmy and Luke’s snarky back‑and‑forth is great, and the whole “fixing up a baby‑dragon bookshop” setup is ridiculously charming. The dragons are adorable, the small‑town magic works, and the slow shift from rivals to something warmer is super satisfying. Low spice, lots of heart, and an easy win if you like cozy fantasy romance.
There’s just something magical about returning to this series, like stepping back into a cozy nook of my imagination where whimsy is guaranteed and the characters feel like old friends who've saved me a seat. The Baby Dragon Bookshop had me smiling from the very first chapter and kept me grinning like an absolute fool all the way through.
A. T. Qureshi has this delightful ability to blend tenderness, adventure, and charming mischief into a story that feels both comforting and exciting. The baby dragon antics? Elite. The bookshop vibes? Immaculate. The emotional warmth? Basically, a hug in literary form.
I’m genuinely fond of this series—so much so that every new installment feels like a treat I’ve been saving for a rainy day (except I never wait for rain because I have zero self‑control). This book, once again, left me glowing with that soft, satisfied smile that only the sweetest fantasy tales can spark.
If you’re looking for something wholesome, enchanting, and guaranteed to boost your mood, this series and especially this installment, absolutely delivers.

Emmeline Sterling has despised Luke Hayward since college, if anything her hatred of him has only increased since the last time she saw him seven years ago. So when he shows up to her cousin Ginny's birthday party, she is furious, he most definitely wasn't invited, she should know she sent out the invitations. Just as she is about to grill him as to why he is there Anh arrives clearing up the mystery. Both Luke and Emmeline need an investment from the shrewd businesswoman for their coffee businesses and instead of investing in them separately Anh believes the best course of action is for them to combine their businesses. This is clearly the worst idea ever but not wanting to insult the woman she needs money from Emmeline proposes a contest between the two of them instead. Each of them will come up with a business proposal to add a coffee shop to Anh brother's bookstore, and Anh will decide from those proposals who she invests in. Anh readily agrees to this, and Emmeline prepares to wage war against her adversary, however, the longer she's around Luke the less she is sure that hate is the appropriate word for how she feels about him.
This is chock full of tropes, not even well executed in some cases, and I loved every second of it! This is that kind of cheesy over the top enemies to lovers romance that makes you swoon while simultaneously rolling your eyes. Emmy is the perfect modern-day businesswoman who also just happens to be the eldest in a large and wealthy family, so she never thinks of herself. Luke is the perfect super-hot guy from a middle-class family who is also always putting other's first, he's just better at throwing up boundaries. Their chemistry is of course electric from the minute they meet each other in that first chapter, and it doesn't stop for the rest of the book. And it truly is one trope right after another from beginning to end, but ya know what? I don't care because it's not just Emmy and Luke's electricity that makes this great it's the whole damn town. It's called Starshine Valley for starters, everyone has baby freaking dragons that are absolutely adorable, and Emmy has this absolutely perfect little circle of friends that are all happy and in love. How freaking much cuter can you get!? It just oozes adorableness. Honestly, the whole group dynamic with everyone felt like watch MLP but with adults. It really just had that very cozy; this would be a wonderful place to live thing happening. The only reason I am not giving this a solid five stars and a 4.75 is because some of the dialogue was a bit rough in some places. There were times when a character probably should have just stopped talking because their line went from cute to not cheesy enough to call it cringey, but it skated that line for sure. Other than that I have zero complains, not only did I get exactly what I thought I was going to get, I found a series that I will definitely continue reading because Qureshi has created something truly magical with Starshine Valley.
Also, as an important aside I knew this was not book one in the series but didn't realize it was book three and honestly doesn't seem to make much of a difference in terms of the plot or the overall story in Starshine Valley. Much like Nora Roberts trilogies where you have a larger plot line happening between three couples, reading them in order helps but isn't necessary.
As always thanks to NetGalley and Harper 360 for the eArc!
This book had me completely obsessed. I love dragons and this book had me glued to my kindle. Definitely everyone must read this.
Loved the baby dragons! A cozy feel good that I would revisit again! Don’t read when hungry though, cause they talk about some yummy food!
This entire series is so cute. I loved Emmy and Luke's characters and having them get their own story. The complexity between the characters was fun to watch unfold. They are enemies and yet they want the same thing. Emmy is the character you love while Luke is arrogant and self absorbed (in the beginning). I loved watching this enemies to loves come to fruition. The setting of these book is always cute. I enjoyed getting the bookshop aspect with this book. I thought the characters and their relationship were well developed. I enjoyed the dual POV and look forward to the next in this series.
I absolutely loved the cozy, whimsical vibe of this one! The premise of rivals being forced to work together at a failing baby dragon bookshop is pure charm, and the author nailed the balance between cute magical chaos and genuine romantic tension. Emmy and Luke's banter had me grinning throughout—their chemistry felt authentic rather than forced, and watching them slowly realize their "enemy" might actually be perfect for them was delightful. The baby dragons added such a fun layer of chaos without overwhelming the story, and I appreciated how the bookshop renovation became a metaphor for them rebuilding their relationship. The magical business world-building was creative and just detailed enough to feel immersive without bogging down the romance. My only minor quibble was that the investor's kooky personality felt a bit over-the-top at times, but it didn't detract from my overall enjoyment. A sweet, cozy romantasy perfect for fans of low-stakes fantasy romance!
You have got to be kidding me with these baby dragons- they are adorable! I am a sucker for bookstore settings, and this did not dissapoint. The romance was fantastic- tension and yearning all over the place! I can't wait to read more of the series!
Thanks to NetGalley for the ARC to read and review!!
