Rosy is the responsible sister. Amy is the free spirit. But between them lies a secret; one they've sworn to keep safe, whatever the cost.
When Amy confides in James, her new psychiatrist, he begins to suspect one sister is covering for the other. Instinct tells him to run, but his own dark past draws him ever closer to the two women, and they to him.
As cracks form in the sisters' facade, something becomes clear: three's a crowd, and one of them has to go.

Jane Corry does it again with My Sister’s Secret! A compulsive, twist-packed read that delivers exactly what fans of her work hope for. Tense, emotionally charged and brilliantly plotted, this is a novel that refuses to sit still.
From the outset, the story pulls you in with its familiar Corry hallmarks: complex family dynamics, buried secrets, and a constant sense that not everything is as it seems. Just when you think you’ve worked it out, the narrative shifts, then shifts again. The twists are frequent and clever, and even when you feel confident you’re one step ahead, Corry finds a way to wrong-foot you!
What really stands out is how unpredictable it is. The story absolutely does not go where you expect it to, and the tension builds relentlessly. Even after I managed to guess one key element it didn't lessen the impact because the journey there is so gripping and the consequences are far darker than anticipated. The characters feel vivid and unsettling, particularly the antagonist (who I won't name!), who is genuinely disturbing and adds an extra edge to the story.
This is the kind of book that demands to be read in one sitting. Once you start, it’s almost impossible to put down. My Sister’s Secret is a confident, twisty thriller that reinforces why Jane Corry is so consistently enjoyable to read. Fans of her previous novels will not be disappointed, and new readers are in for a treat. Absolutely loved it and everything Corry does!
This book was addictive, fast-paced and a drama-filled rollercoaster ride! Never in a million years did I see that major twist coming out of the blue I was mind-blown!
It totally exceeded my expectations the suspense was palpable! The speed at which my heart was racing throughout the book I’m surprised I didn’t have a heart attack! 😂
Once I picked this book up, it totally consumed me. I ended up reading it in one day as I was so absorbed by what was in front of me and what was going to happen next! This book is an absolute must-read.
I really enjoyed this new book by Jane Corry. I was quickly gripped by the plot and unusual and intriguing characters. It’s definitely one that I’d recommend.

Wow what a roller coaster of a read. This story keeps you gripped from the very beginning full of twists and turns that you can't quite believe and just when you think the story is ending another twist comes along. Sisters Amy and Rosy are both troubled by their past but when Amy becomes attracted to her psychiatrist little does she know he also has a dark past which could put them all in danger. A fantastic psychological thriller so well written i couldn't put it down and read it in two sittings highly recommend this book and you definitely won't be disappointed.with it
Jane Corey delivers another nail biting white knuckle read. There is always a sense of ominous anticipation with this author - you know there is more going on that you are being told but the reveal is still a surprise. I love the way this author builds tension through character interaction and dialogue. Another great thriller with strong focus on family dynamics and psychological motivations.
As far as I am concerned, Jane Corry can do no wrong when it comes to the production of suspenseful, carefully crafted contemporary thrillers. I was therefore delighted to switch on the e-reader to consume My Sister’s Secret, her latest offering. The setting for this novel is a psychiatric institution where Amy and her sister Rosy meet psychiatrist James. The thriller asks the question, what are the disturbing secrets that Amy and Rosy but also James try to keep hidden?
I liked this novel’s structure, with Amy, Rosy and James serving as rotating unreliable narrators. Just as I thought I had built up a reliable picture of each character, new information was revealed, and I had to challenge my assumptions. I thought the author presented the novel’s main themes of generational trauma, sibling rivalry and mental health concerns with her usual tact and sensitivity, adding an additional layer of reader engagement to the thriller plotline.
I would like to thank the publishers and NetGalley for the free digital ARC that allowed me to review this book in honest terms before its print publication date.
I read this book in a day because it was so gripping—I couldn’t put it down! The story was a total rollercoaster, packed with adrenaline. The opening line alone “I met my husband in a psychiatric hospital” immediately had me hooked, and I couldn’t wait to see where the story would take me. It’s about the invisible threads and secrets that tie two sisters together, and the tension kept building from there.
I’ve read all of Jane’s books, and while you don’t have to read them in order, I really liked how she brought in a character from her previous book I Looked Away. It was interesting to read how she explored how the brain can alter memories or forget past events as a coping mechanism after trauma.
The only thing I’d mention as a caution is that there are some heavy triggers in the book, especially around abuse. It made certain parts uncomfortable to read, so just be aware of that.
Overall, if you enjoy a fast-paced domestic thriller that grabs you from the very beginning and keeps you on the edge of your seat, I definitely recommend this one.
Rosy and Amy are two sisters, bound by a dark childhood secret that has the power to tear their family apart. The sisters have grown apart, with Amy living in a psychiatric home, never having recovered from the night their father left. Meanwhile, Rosy is trying to move forward with her life, whilst living in fear that Amy might reveal the truth about their past.
Amy confides in new psychiatrist James, who is intrigued by what she is hiding from him. Wanting answers, he asks to speak to Rosy to better understand the past the sisters share, but he quickly senses that the sisters are covering something, what unfolds will blow your mind.
I am always so excited to read a new book by the ‘Queen of Thrillers’, Jane Corry, and this latest one certainly didn’t disappoint. The plot is fast paced, twist-laden, and full of suspense. Just when you think you have worked it out, Corry delivers another unexpected turn. The unpredictability of the storyline kept me constantly guessing, with so many unexpected twists and turns.
The novel explores themes including rivalry, misogyny, mental health, generational trauma and the lasting damage of family secrets, adding emotional depth beneath the surface tension of the mystery.
Overall, this was a gripping thriller which I struggled to put down.
Oh my! This book is off the scale brilliant.
I read it in one go late into the night because its absolutely impossible to put it down! Fast paced and exciting from start to finish.
