But from farts to helium in balloons, it is possible to tell when gas is around—whether you like it or not! This book presents a humorous look at gas and includes all the essential information readers need to know about this state of matter. Farts, Fumes, and Other Gases is a kid's nonfiction book that focuses on gas as a topic, but from a humorous angle. It contains a ton of information, so it might be easier for younger readers/listeners to chunk their reading. The illustrations and facts are funny and will help keep their attention. This is part of a series that approaches the other types of matter in the same way. You can imagine what is used with solids and liquids. Overall, this is a funny science resource.

Thanks to Rosen Publishing Group and NetGalley for an eARC of this book for an honest review.

The illustrations are eye catching and engaging. The rutile grabs attention and is fun for a non fiction text. Great text to use in the classroom to explore gasses and or to use to teach non- fiction text elements. Including 10 or so comprehension questions at the back of the book would have made this book even more useful for teachers with low/ no prep reading lessons.

Turned a dry subject into something that will have the kids in giggles and running home to teach their families all about farts!

This is such a fun and educational book that my pre-schooler really enjoyed reading. The illustrations and details were excellent additions to the facts! What little kid doesn’t want to read about farts and burps? Although targeted to a slightly older demographic, the addition of lift the flaps would make it even more exciting for pre-school aged kids.

Thank you to NetGalley and Rosen Publishing Group for the ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Middle schoolers are always on the hunt for books they can read together for fun during study hall. This book will definitely get their attention, plus I learned a lot of cool facts from it. I’ll be adding this one to our classroom library.

Thank you to NetGalley and the publishers for allowing early access to this book.
I expected silly, but the illustrations made me chuckle! Informative, fun, and one of a kids favorite topics. Kids of all ages can enjoy this book, if not for the fantastic learning, but for the laugh out loud images of termites farting underground!
