Description

A Philadelphia classroom one day, a distant shore the next—A Teacher’s Odyssey follows one man through four years inside Philadelphia’s public schools while working part time for an airline and traveling the world.

Hired as an assistant, he learns just three days before the school year begins that he will serve as the full-time teacher. Without a teaching license or formal training, he enters the classroom carrying responsibility that far outpaces his preparation.

What follows is not escape, but an odyssey shaped by classrooms, the open road, and the slow conversion of survival into mastery.
