Description
From bestselling indie author Chelsea Curto comes an academic rivals-to-lovers romance about storm-chasing meteorologists during hurricane season in Florida—perfect for fans of Ali Hazelwood and B.K. Borison.
Nothing can rain on Quincy Monroe’s parade. She’s a woman-in-STEM with a PhD in atmospheric sciences, the host of a successful online weather show, and has one million followers on her meteorology Instagram.
Quincy has spent endless hours forging her path in this male-dominated field, becoming one of the best in the industry. And with a new job opportunity, nothing can derail her success. Except for the ill-timed arrival of Sebastian Dunn.
Sebastian is her best friend’s brother, her long-suffering academic and professional rival, and a flashy TV weatherman from New York City that everyone swoons over. Everyone but Quincy.
Over a scorching Florida summer and record-breaking hurricane season, Sebastian and Quincy are forced into close proximity. Setting aside their grudges to chase storms and stay alive is one thing, but can they weather the inevitable collision of their hearts?

As an avid weather watcher, this book was everything I could have asked for and more!!!! I am obsessed with every aspect of this book—the focus on women thriving in a male dominated field, the Twisters references (except in this one, they do kiss), and the yearning only a friends with benefits situationship can bring!!!
Sebastian and Quincy had me caught in their tornado of banter, my heart leaping into my throat during the intense weather scenes highlighting both how beautiful and destructive weather can be, and all I can wish for them is a life of storm chasing and fair weather for their relationship!!
I am absolutely obsessed with this book, and if you enjoy academic rivals to lovers, two weather nerds geeking out, found family, friends with benefits, a golden retriever who spent years yearning, look no further than In Stormy Weather.
Thank you Netgalley and Chelsea Curto for this ARC!!!

For lovers of Twister and all things banter, this book is Amazing! I couldn’t put it down and loved the character building and storytelling and the nicknames?! Hello!
For someone venturing out of reading sports romances and into more general romances, this was the perfect book to start! I can’t wait to own a copy when it’s published in July!
Happy Chasing!!

I loved this book! Quincy is a brilliant meteorologist who is nerdy and obsessed with weather, specifically hurricanes. Sebastian went to high school and college with Quincy and followed her into meteorology. He is currently ABC's weatherman in NYC. The book takes place over a hurricane season, where Seb goes back to Florida unhappy with his current job. These two have always had a passionate competition between them that starts off as hate, but slowly morphs into something else. The competition is still strong as they both apply for the same job at the National Weather Service.
Seb is an amazing book boyfriend and an advocate for women in STEM. Quincy faces a lot of gender discrimination, but never lets it stop her from pushing forward in her career and teaching people about weather, especially dangerous weather. The banter between these two is excellent. There were several times I laughed while reading this book.
The book starts by making jokes about both Twister movies, but if you liked them you will love this book. I know I did.
Thank you Atria and NetGalley for the ARC. This is my honest review.
