Advance Praise
"The text, while flowing with a beautiful cadence, has a high-enough density of advanced vocabulary that it may serve as a barrier for many young readers. The ethereal watercolor illustrations match the tone of the book, evoking classic styles such as Arnold Lobel and Dirk Zimmer."- Booklist
"It's a soothing story of ocean-driven dreaminess." - Publishers Weekly
"Dream adventures await!....demonstrates how the power of imagination can transport young people to strange and enticing lands....A soothing look at the infinite possibilities of an active imagination." -- Kirkus Reviews

This book feels very classic. I love the illustrations, they help to build this dreamlike atmosphere. The locations and animals are so vibrant and creative. The cadence of the words make it very good to read aloud.
Moon Sailors by Naomi Woodward was a great story and Rachel Gregg did a lovely job on the illustrations. My one year old loved it.

Moon sailors hits that spot between old-enough-to-want-more-than-just-rhymes and young-enough-to-want-a-bedtime-story group that sometimes gets forgotten. I read the book twice, once in my head and once outloud to see how the cadence would flow and honestly, reading it outloud did not feel as jarring as it did in my head. The larger vocabulary offers a chance for parents, teachers, family etc. to take a moment to describe what they see on the page.
Rachel Gregg's illustrations were a fantastic accompaniment and I found myself staring and finding things as I went through each page. What a wonderful book for young readers that does take them on a journey

Two siblings and a cat go on a nighttime adventure and see many different sea creatures like moon crabs, clams, urchins, and more. They see stars and decide to make a wish and then… sleep.
Thank you to the publisher and Netgalley for the eARC of this book. All opinions are my own.
A very beautifully illustrated children's book. This book is absolutely stunning and wonderful for a child's imagination. This book is also written very well, very advanced. I would say this book would be great for an older child.
I absolutely adore this cute little book. The story of two siblings and a cat dreaming of visiting the ocean. They find all sorts of neat creatures big and small.
The watercolor look to the pages brings a level of calm and relaxation. I could feel the dream-like state in the words and artwork.
This is definitely a book for all the youngsters. I think they would be delighted with the story and it will become a favorite.
Thank you NetGalley, Publisher Spotlight for the opportunity to read and review #MoodSailers by Naomi Woodward and Rachel Gregg
With somewhat complicated vocabulary, this children's book deals with imagination and adventure. It's a lovely story about two siblings, and their cat, who dream of travelling the sea and the starry night, and all of the amazing creatures they encounter.
The artwork is rendered in soft colours and soft lines, and beautifully complements and soothes in this delightful, dreamy story.
Thank you to Netgalley and to Publisher Spotlight for this ARC in exchange for my review.
