Selie is a wonderfully relatable protagonist. As someone with a generalized anxiety disorder, there was so much to love about a main character with the same fears and doubts who manages to save the day without changing everything about herself. As with everything Linsmeier writes, the settings and vibes are beautiful and inviting when they need to be and perfectly horrifying the next—something I always love about classic fairy tales.
