Description

Domestic noir with a chick-lit twist: a story of laughter, sisterhood, and women daring to do things differently. Perfect for fans of Jane Caro's The Mother and Liane Moriarty's Big Little Lies.

Welcome to Shellwater Bay, where the sea is calm, the scenery idyllic . . . and three women are quietly planning a revolution.

Joany appears to have the perfect life, but behind closed doors, she's hiding a dangerous secret. Heather thinks her marriage is rock-solid until her husband demands a divorce. Steph is raising kids with a man who thinks 'helping out' means calling his mother.

Bonded at their gym by sweat and fury, the women swap stories about the silent bargains they've made to keep the peace in their relationships.

But peace has its price. And when the simmering rage starts to bubble over, these new friends decide a crime or two is in order . . .

Funny full of belly laughs and deep female friendships. It starts out on a high and ended even higher. There are ups and downs and I just had the best time reading this. The characters are witty and charming.

It was as phenomenal. It felt very fitting considering yesterday was IWD. While it might be titled “The Angry Wives Club” it’s about strong women, learning to push back on all of the control men think they have on us, and pushing back on the shame we are expected to feel when the men mess up and hurt us. It’s raw and hard to read at times, but there’s not a story in here that we don’t hear about day in and day out in the real world.

Sweat, Secrets, and a Side of Crime.

The Angry Wives Club is domestic noir with a chick-lit twist—think Jane Caro meets Liane Moriarty at the gym, plotting mischief. Joany, Heather, and Steph may have started with squats and lunges, but they end up bending the rules, shaking up Shellwater Bay, and taking empowerment into their own hands.

Funny, sharp, and surprisingly daring, this is a story about friendship, revenge, and women realizing that sometimes the most radical act is just saying no… and maybe committing a little crime while they’re at it.
