The name of this book is VERY true. Whilst I really enjoyed this book, in fact I whizzed through it, I don't think I would of read this knowing it's actual topic. I'm glad I did read it and it goes to show that maybe I should give you a I thought I didn't like a go.
Clare has always written fast paced, enjoyable page turners and this is no different. I would recommend to anyone who loves these types of books

This is my first read by the author and I’m completely floored. It’s a very well written and well researched story with pretty intense subject matter. The structure, the characters, and those twists! It all totally worked for me. Then something broke inside of me during that final hour of reading and I cried all the way to the end. Highly recommend this unforgettable crime thriller.

This was an incredibly unique and fascinating thriller. A man is murdered and it seems as though he had become involved in a neo nazi group when he was searching for friends. Absolutely loved it! Could make a great book club pick.

Thank you NetGalley and Sourcebook Landmark for the eARC.
This is another excellent book by Clare Macintosh, with a superb ending I didn't see coming.
The subject matter is very topical, the characters very well drawn and the atmosphere
tense throughout.
The author is one of my top 10 favorite authors, you're always sure you're going to be incommunicado while reading one of her books.

A woman thinks her partner is cheating, so she goes home to catch him. Instead, she finds him dead and suddenly everything she thought she knew about him starts to fall apart.
This one pulls you in right away and keeps you guessing. It jumps between perspectives and slowly reveals what’s really going on. The twists are strong, especially at the end. If you like suspense that keeps shifting on you, it’s a solid pick.

The story following Nadeeka and Jamie time together as a couple kept me engaged from start to finish.
When Nedeeka suspects Jamie is cheating on her she rushes home only to find Jamie has been murdered.
Throughout she reflects back onto their relationship in hopes to find out what has happened to Jamie only to find he had secrets.
What is actually going on and who can be trusted?
The twist was amazing and I did not see it coming. Definitely it’ll not be what you think.
I highly recommend this read. Thank you #NetGalley for the Advanced Reader Copy of this book.

A little slow to start but once it got going, it was a wild ride! I did not expect the group that the book ended up focusing on to be a part of the plot but it was really timely and interesting.
I liked the lead detective and felt like there might even been a sequel in there.
I like how Mackintosh really ties up all the details in her books. Even when the plot is a little wacky; it all comes together in the end
