I wasn't an out-and-out fan of the first issue of this black and white comic, until it went all ultra-violence on us and actually gave us a reason for the drugs, the dodgy commentary about modern relationships and the beaver jokes. But I came back, only to find less commentary, less on-screen violence, the same problems with actually justifying itself taking my reading time – and the same joke about a woman having a beaver. All in all, then, this is a bit of same-old, same-old, which might delight you, but might equally leave you completely non-plussed. It'll certainly alienate you if people call you a hipster, but you should be used to that by now.

I liked this issue better than the first issue. It had more direction and an actual plot. Lange still needs to work on his anatomy some (Necks are too long and characters too thin.) but the overall art is getting better.

Another interesting issue in the series. It's all still really weird, but funny. Convinced this series will make a better volume than issue by issue. Plan on reading the third issue, so I guess I see promise still.
