Description
‘This is my story, messy and unfiltered. It’s offered to you with an open heart in the hope that somewhere between these lines, you might find something you need.’
Helen’s story begins in January 2024, at the lowest point in her life following a breakdown. Years of stress and struggle against the pressures of fame and her own mental health have left her shattered. The only way forward is to reflect and rebuild.
Head and Heart is a powerful, frank, and moving memoir that follows Helen from childhood right up to present day. From her life-changing audition for Coronation Street and the incident that led to her leaving Rosie Webster forever to her relationship with her fiance Bristol Rovers’ winger Scott Sinclair and its eventual collapse and becoming a mum to her three children.
In her memoir, Helen retraces every bump in the road and reveals the real woman behind the constant headlines. And, having experienced more ups and downs than mo

I wanted to read this book as I’ve always followed Helen’s career and enjoyed watching her on I’m a celebrity.
I was really surprised with the book and how open and honest she was. I liked the fact that she discussed her mental health and what conditions she had as this could be very helpful to people.
Overall a great honest read which I would recommend.
Thanks to NetGalley, Helen Flanagan and the publisher for an advance copy in exchange for an honest and unbiased review.
I really enjoy a celebrity autobiography and was thrilled at the chance to read this ARC thanks to netgalley and mirror books. I love coronation Street and I have followed Helens journey since she began on the cobbles. Reading from Helens point of view really opened my eyes and confirmed what I always thought. Helen is just like most other women, struggles with her mental health and holds it all together for the sake of her kids. I thoroughly enjoyed this book and will definitely be buying to add to my collection upon its release. A nice easy read from another perspective as we only see what the media portrays.

Whilst I am not a big coronation street fan I have always had a interest in helen as she came from humble beginnings and raised to become a star. I started reading her trouble relationship with Scott through the newspapers and felt sorry for her but upon reading this book not only do I have a much better understanding of her and her relationships but am disgusted at how badly scott and others have treated her. While helen is slightly ar fault for keep taking them back these men just used and abused her. She deserves better and I really hope she finds someone decent. I liked all aspect from the book from starting out young in the industry all the way up until present day,I felt she didn't hide from anything bad and told her story well. I hope this book does well as it deserves too. I found it to a interesting engaging and sometimes difficult read due to how she was treated. I hope she does a follow-up at some point her life as I would love to see her succeed and become happy once again.
