Not too bad. The word repetition will help new readers feel confident.

The Dear Dragon series is made up of several books that are easy readers. They use site vocabulary that is printed in the back of the book. It reminds me of the books I learned to read with. This particular story is told using 72 sight words.
In this book, it is winter and the boy and his dragon are doing the kind of things kids do in the winter. They make a snowman, a snowfort, go sledding and have a snowball fight, ending the day with cookies and hot chocolate. Before bed father reads him a book and they clean up their toys. Going to bed they are dreaming about Christmas. These Beginning-to-Read books capture the imaginations of beginning readers and help them on their way to independent reading. They could also be read aloud to young children who are not able to read yet. A great addition to a family library or a primary classroom.

As usual, Margaret Hillert has written a book worth having. Once the kids find the Dear Dragon books, they read them all and then read them all again.
