I am so thankful for the opportunity to review Everyday Hallelujah. I loved it! I rarely purchase hardcover books anymore, but I absolutely will be purchasing this book. There are simply too many powerful examples, stories, and reflections in these pages not to keep close as a daily read and devotional reminder.

One line that deeply stayed with me was the thought that stealing away for a few quiet moments to thank God, open the Bible, and whisper a prayer is like “clearing the dust from the window of my heart.” That imagery alone was transformative. It reminded me how easily life clouds our vision and how worship brings clarity back to our hearts.

I especially loved the reflection sections and the “Hallelujah Challenge” at the end of each chapter.  The questions challenged me to examine my own private devotion and ask: What does my worship really look like in everyday life?

This book continually points readers back to the beauty of noticing God’s hand in all things and boldly saying, “God did that.” Every acknowledgment of His goodness strengthens our faith and deepens our relationship with Him.

If you are looking for a book that will challenge, encourage, convict, and deepen your understanding of worship, I cannot recommend this enough. This is not just a book to read once and put on a shelf. It is a book to revisit often, highlight heavily, pray through slowly, and allow to shape your daily walk with God.

Everyday Hallelujah has 36 devotion style chapters that reorient minds and hearts back to God. It asks provoking questions about what we believe about God, how that effects our life, and if we might be worshipping something else besides the True King. All Christians need this heart check throughout life- for me, throughout my day!- to ensure we haven't been distracted by the enemy and his lies. Are we in a contractual relationship with our faith or a covenantal relationship with the almighty God, worshipping Him to the best of our abilities?

Phil Wickham reminds me of Ann Voskamp, who writes that we have sleep amnesia and must be a re-remembering people- reminding ourselves again and again of God's goodness and faithfulness towards us. This remembering is the testimony of God's love and faithfulness throughout life- ours and others! It's how we tell others of and keep His Truth at the forefront of our minds, ready to refute any lie that comes our way. When we worship and praise God for who He is and what He has accomplished, our hearts are softened and the "peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus" (Phil 4:7). Because heaven is where God dwells, we can invite heaven here on earth by worshiping God in everyday moments.

Part of the book made me feel very small. Wickham is a millionaire Grammy award nominated actor who plays sold out stadiums! And he tells us "sometimes I feel that my gifts are inferior"? Mine must be non-existent! But how real of him to admit that even the best and most successful fall short of the glory of God and forget how much God loves us all. Everyday Hallelujah reminds us that normal people glorify God just the same as these fabulous, incredibly accomplished stars. God does not think less of us by any human metric! So crank that radio, cue up your favorite album on a streaming APP, and make a joyful noise to the Lord!

While the entire novel is short and easy to finish in a day, the end of chapter reflections and challenges encourage readers to apply this message daily, doing the legwork that often preludes heart change. I encourage readers who don't read one chapter a day to keep the book nearby or copy the challenges so they can continue to work through them even after finishing the book.

As soon as I learned that Phil Wickham was releasing a book, I knew it was one that I had to read. This book, called Everyday Hallelujah, was everything and more than I thought it would be. It's about how you don't have just worship on Sunday. You can worship every day, as it doesn't have to be just on that one day of the week when you normally only do it. I've been guilty of that, thinking that because I went to church on Sunday, I don't need to be good any other day. But it's okay if we still worship on days other than Sunday. I love how Phil works through many scriptures and stories within the Bible and how worship shapes the way we live, love, work, and reflect in God's presence. I highly recommend this book, and it's one I'll be getting when it comes out, highlighting everything I learned and loved in it.

Everyday Hallelujah by Phil Wickham is a refreshing devotional. I struggle with many devotionals because the writings are often short and lack depth. Wickham's writings were longer, had more depth, lots of Scripture, history, Biblical context, and sometimes perspectives of different denominations. All things that I love and appreciate. He writes beautiful songs and devotionals. I am not someone who is drawn to worship in the musical sense. Do I enjoy it, yes, but it is where I really feel connection with God, not often. I loved that this book focused on the broadness of worship and how it is not just music but in actions and other parts of life. The challenges really solidified this for me, and I found that I have continued with some of the challenges long after he suggested they go for. I am a big fan of Phil Wickham and his music. But that is not the reason for the five star review. This book intertwined scripture, personal life, and reflection so beautifully. Sometimes devotional style books can feel preachy or all about the author. This was a perfect balance and let me tell you, it makes me excited for not just church on Sunday but for living for God each day.

His chapterly challenges are obtainable goals to set for yourself to live in an everyday hallelujah.

This book really helped me to reflect on the small things in life and to praise God in the small things and the big things as well.

I don't know if I've ever read a book focused entirely on worship before. I've certainly read other Christian living books that touch on false idols, misplaced worship, and the idea of making a good thing a God thing, but I don't think I've ever had the pleasure of immersing myself in the topic of worship itself. This book was the perfect invitation and introduction.

Through 36 short chapters, the authors use Scripture as a springboard into thoughtful discussions about what worship really is. Each chapter ends with discussion questions and a practical worship challenge, which I thought was a brilliant way to encourage readers to put what they'd learned into practice.

Written from Phil Wickham's perspective, the book weaves together personal stories, biblical truth, and thoughtful reflections that challenge, inspire, and encourage readers. I especially appreciated the chapters on worshipping on the mountaintop, being still, choosing joy, and bringing our expectations into prayer worship.

This could easily be read as a daily devotional or enjoyed in larger chunks, as I did. I would recommend this book to anyone who loves Jesus and wants to grow in their understanding of worship, but it would make a great resource for pastors and worship leaders.

I have been a huge fan of Phil Wickham's form years now, and to be honest, I only picked this up because he wrote it. But wow, this was so much more than I was expecting and to quote his own song, it was "so so good!"

I wasn't really sure what kind of book this was going to be. After reading it, I'm still not sure it was a devotional, a study on worship, a primer on the theology of worship, or just a really encouraging book for the church folks. It could really fall into everyone of those categories. It's a little bit of all of them. But most of all it's a good book to remind us of why worship is crucial for our everyday lives. I highly encourage everyone to read this great book.

I recently saw Phil Wickham in concert. That night was so powerful. I could truly feel the Holy Spirit in the room. So when I saw that he had a book coming out, I had high expectations and am happy to say I was not disappointed. Worship is so much more than just showing up to church and singing a few songs each week. After reading this book, I really feel encouraged to worship God more through everyday things and to invite Him into every area of my life. I loved that there was so much scripture quoted and used in this book also.

What a powerful reminder that worship is more than outward praise on a Sunday morning, but an integral, every day act that strengthens our relationship with God, and is not to be reserved only for when times are easy, but is a pillar we can lean on the when times are trying.
Everyday Hallelujah is filled with inspirational stories and packed with scripture. The questions at the end of each chapter helped me dig deeper and the the worship challenges provide tangible ways to implement what the book teaches.

A wonderful piece when Phil Wickham brings everyday worship to a higher level of full surrender to Christ. Application to understanding that worship is so much more then just a few songs on Sunday morning, but rather a deep, daily spiritual discipline that gives soul food for everyday.

This is one of the best books I’ve read. I did this as a devotional with a chapter a day. I loved the honesty, encouragement, teaching and truths Phil provided. This is really well done. You can tell a lot has gone into this book as it’s rich in scripture and truth.

It’s easy to get occupied with our days and forget that worship is our life, not just church services. Phil does a great job helping bring the reader back to the heart and truth of worship.

Just like in his worship music, this book serves to point us to Jesus; in the everyday, ordinary, hard, and wonderful moments of our lives. Phil Wickham is wise, honest, and his personal anecdotes let us into the heart and mind of his brilliant music for the Lord.

This book should be in your life, on your coffee table, and gifted to friends and family - I know I will be.
Each chapter has Worship Reflections that allow us to ponder and meditate on the devotion and on what the Lord has done and is doing in our lives through various means of worship.

This book is really practical what comes to worship and practical “challenges” end of every chapter makes what you’ve read adaptable in everyday life and keeps reminding to worship wherever and whatever you’re doing.
Book also challenged me to pause in everyday moments and worship and thank God for those things and give God the glory in the moment.

This book has been such a blessing. Phil Wickham connects Bible stories to everyday life and shows ways we can worship God while doing the smallest things. His perspective on worship has opened my eyes and softened my heart to praise Jesus in my everyday life.

Phil Wickham is a worship leader that has led thousands in worship through songs and now he has written Everyday Hallelujah, a devotional that looks at the act of worship which is not just singing. He takes scripture verses throughout the Bible and relates them to worship and everyday life. He shares things from his life so that the readers get to know him a bit better but he also points the reader to Christ and how to walk through even the hard things and be able to look for the hallelujah. He includes a challenge for each day that will help you look for your own everyday hallelujahs. I personally teared up during a few of these quick devotions. I rarely give 5 stars because I think the book needs to be amazing to get the highest rating but I give this book 5 stars and I highly recommend the audiobook version.

I am about 10 chapters in and already this book has encouraged my faith! It has helped me see that there are glimpses of worship all throughout out my day.

What a great read that reminds us to recognize God in our ordinary moments of life. The message of the book is simple to keep a strong emphasis on gratitude and our hearts focused on God.

I like how Phil balances encouragement without being overbearing on it and a great reminders on how worship and praises aren't just for our biggest moments in life but can be apart of our everyday life.

I absolutely LOVE this book!

Everyday Hallelujah is a beautiful reminder that worship was never meant to be confined to Sunday mornings or the walls of a church. Worship can be found in the way we work, love, serve, wait, endure, celebrate, and even walk through the hard things.

One of my favorite ideas is finding joy in both the good AND the difficult. A quote from Camille Johnson that has stayed with me this year says, “You can do hard with Jesus, or you can do hard alone. When you do hard with Jesus Christ, the hard becomes holy.” This book reminded me of that same truth.

There is something incredibly powerful about realizing that every part of our everyday lives can become holy when our hearts are turned toward God. The ordinary moments matter. The hard moments matter. The joyful moments matter. And through all of them, we have the opportunity to offer our own everyday hallelujah.

Phil Wickham takes readers through Scripture and the lives of familiar biblical figures, showing how worship shaped the way they lived—not just the songs they sang.

If you’re wanting MORE from your life and want that MORE to come from your Savior, I highly recommend this one.

Some chapters of this book were very basic and better suited for a new believer. I appreciated that the end of each chapter had reflection questions to help me think a little deeper.

This book has an uplifting, joyful tone. It captures the same voice and feeling you get from listening to Phil Wickham’s music. I enjoyed the stories from his own life, especially stories of how he got started in the music industry, and backstories of how some of his famous worship songs were written. It has the same gentle, peaceful feel I sense in his social media posts. This is the first book I have read from him, and I look forward to reading more in the future.

It's found in the ordinary moments, in how we work, serve, love, wait, pray, respond to difficulty and recognise God's goodness.

What I particularly loved was the way Phil uses Scripture alongside personal stories and reflections to show what everyday worship can actually look like. He takes familiar stories and people from the Bible and invites us to see them through the lens of worship. Each chapter also includes a practical challenge, which made me pause and consider how I could put what I'd just read into practice.

This book challenged me to pay more attention to the small moments of my day and to look for reasons to praise God even when life isn't going exactly as I'd hoped. It reminded me that gratitude isn't dependent on circumstances and that worship can become an intentional choice—even in the hard seasons.

This is one of those books I finished and immediately thought, I want other people to read this too. It reminded me that every day gives us another reason to say, Hallelujah.
