Description
A childhood promise has Chance Walker picking up a guitar once again. Sure, he's been busy growing up, finishing college, and even law school. He made a promise to his dying mother and he’s determined to keep it. While his guitar playing dreams were big when he was a kid, his skill is rusty and he hires Erin Michaelson to bring music back into his life. Not only is she incredibly talented, she's one of the sexiest women he’s ever met. It's hard to focus on correct finger position when her sweet scent threatens to drive him out of his mind.
Less than twenty-four hours after his first lesson he sees her again, but this time she’s on stage using another name and seducing an entire audience of men. He played the gentleman card once, and it got him nowhere. This time, all bets are off and he’ll do whatever it takes to keep her. A single, sizzling backstage kiss will change both of their lives forever, because Chance soon realizes that Erin is not just an itch, she’s an obsession he refuses to live without.
Erin Michaelson spends her days teaching guitar and her nights on stage as her sexy alter-ego, Eva James. Music is her dream, her passion. All she wants is to say goodbye to a lifetime of scraping by, working two jobs, and paying for past mistakes. When a major record label exec hears her band play, she gets her big break. But life can be a real bitch, and meeting Chance now is just bad timing.
Problem #1: The record label wants her to dump her band and move to L.A. Problem #2: She hadn’t counted on Chance Walker and the scorching heat of that first kiss. And last but not least is Problem #3: Is Chance really falling in love with the dull guitar teacher, or is he really just lusting after the sexy Eva James?
Will success make all of Erin's dreams come true? Or will falling in love make them both crash and burn?

I absolutely L-O-V-E-D it. The storyline, the characters. Everything. I was hooked as soon as picked up the book I just couldn't put it down. I love how Erin is such a strong person and even with everything she has had to overcome she has come out of it a better person still chasing her dream even with all the negative remarks that have been thrown her way and my my my Chance is such a sweetie I love him and his brothers they have such a natural relationship with one another that's so strong even though they're all very different.

4 STARS
Crash and Burn is good romance novel that follows the same formula common in the genre: there are some ups and downs but in the end the characters get their HEA. Cliffhanger? There's no such thing in this one, so it's perfect for thoses readers who hate them.
I think the POV changes between Erin and Chance work perfectly and I really liked the author's writing style.
Crash and Burn is the first book by Michele Callahan I've read and it made me curious to see how her other books compare to this one, specially the next book on this series and even her writings in other genres.
TL;DR: Go read this one!

Michele Callahan has a brand new fan!
I was so impressed with the smooth flow of the writing and the expert editing of this book. Sometimes stories are good, but numerous errors deter from the total enjoyment. Not so with this book.
A fully engaging story that tugs at the heartstrings and reaffirms life values and what really matters when faced with difficult choices. With captivating characters and a support cast that entice the reader to contemplate the tales still to come, Crash and Burn is a powerful, gripping and deeply emotional book.
I actually read this book second, even though it’s the first in the series. And while it didn’t have a huge impact, as they are sort of standalones anyway, I’m still glad to have read the first two stories before book three is released, as the brothers are mentioned throughout and come together in each book, so reading them in order will help to follow the time line and keep the events in perspective. However, that is just my personal opinion.
All that said, I can’t wait for the next fabulous story by this exceptionally talented author.
